| Hello All
Sorting though some vintage parts I have come across this printed part.
It is listed in the catalog as
but is definitely printed on a 3065 brick.
Should it be listed as a new item?
thanks for any advice

Nice find!

For right now I've added a note to the catalog entry and added the part to
our list of unsplit part variants. You're welcome to submit an image of
the variant for the existing catalog entry.

Could you take a photo of the inside of the brick? Are you absolutely sure that
the bottom tube hasn't just broken off? This happens now and then, and I
find it hard to believe that LEGO has produced in white at that point
in time (1979-1985) when the otherwise last known version in white was produced
in 1966.

+1 It's very easy to break a tube from an old 1x2 brick by just moving it
back and forth.

This never even occurred to me, as there is no damage on the brick. but the image
shows a 3065 (L) the printed brick (M) and a 3004 (R) which I broke the pin off
to see what it actually looks like.
You are correct as every 3065 I have seems to have a mould number where the pin
would be.
Thanks for the reply as this is how we all learn.
Regards
David

Based on this retraction, the additional note was deleted and the part was removed
from the unsplit variants list.
