| I noticed that Minifigure torsos have now been split up into decorated and plain,
which is pretty handy. Is more subdividing on the way with other categories like
legs? I always have a hard time finding the right pair of plain legs.

This statement is throwing me off, somewhat.
Of all the various LEGO minifig parts, classic leg assemblies (without print)
are the easiest to identify and locate. It's a part with little to no anomalies
or catalog production notes, needed. Not to mention all colors are found under
a single part number
But if you're referring to the newer, less commonplace type of leg and leg
assemblies, i.e. shorter and longer types, I guess that's another story.
Which brings to mind something I've always wondered: why are the below leg
types listed under Minifigure, Body Part in the BL catalog?
now this could be considered "a hard time to find" for the casual LEGO shopper

| These get buried
with the decorated ones and can be hard to find.

Good point. Those should not be placed in the "decorated" category, IMHO.
But would you consider these mixed-assembly leg types as "plain" as expressed
by the OP?

Because that is just one molded part, not an assembly of multiple molded parts.
Hence the different categories: Minifigure, Legs Assembly versus Minifigure,
Body Part.

Okay, I get it.
Maybe a new master category Minifigure, Leg is in order, placing all the
other types, including the assemblies, as subcategories?

Good point, I requested a new category for non-standard lower bodies:

It's a start, at least in putting focus on it. Thanks
