Comments from Submitter:
I looked through the instructions until they gave me a headache. It's a choose your own adventure set. Depending on what you want to build, you use different parts. There are 2 main builds and a third mini build and I will ignore the 3rd because you can't build it if you build either of the others and it requires less of everything that matters here.

- The rubber bands are definitely extras.
- The set has 9 10axles. You need 8 to build one model, but 9 for the other.
- The set has 9 3L Connectors and you need all 9 for either model.
- You need 31 of 43 technic pins, depending on what you want to build. The set has 46, so 3 are extra.
- You need 2 or 4 blue bush and the set has 6.
- My 7L Ribbed Hoses are EIGHT L.
- My 11L Soft Axles are TWELVE L.
- You need 13 or 14 2Axle and the set has 21, so I call that 14 regular, 7 extra.
- You need 5 3/4 pins and you get 6.
- The gray bush you need 11 or 14 and you get 19.
- The gray half bush you need 10 or 11 and you get 17.

If one of you wants to verify, I am posting a picture of my notes. I recommend taking your pain reliever of choice before you begin so that it will be kicking in at the time you'll need it.

Don't really need a pain reliever when the LEGO replacement parts site helps
with plenty of these changes.

  - The set has 9 10axles. You need 8 to build one model, but 9 for the other.

The LEGO replacement parts site has 9 included in the set. Request accepted.

  - The set has 9 3L Connectors and you need all 9 for either model.

The LEGO replacement parts site has 9 included in the set. Request accepted.

  - You need 31 of 43 technic pins, depending on what you want to build. The set has 46, so 3 are extra.

The LEGO replacement parts site has 43 included in the set. Request accepted.

  - My 7L Ribbed Hoses are EIGHT L.

Yours actually look closer to 7L in your image, but the LEGO replacement parts
site states they should be 64mm (which is 8L). Request accepted.

  - My 11L Soft Axles are TWELVE L.

Yours very much look 12L in your image, and the LEGO replacement parts site confirms
this. Request accepted.

  - You need 13 or 14 2Axle and the set has 21, so I call that 14 regular, 7 extra.

The LEGO replacement parts site has 21 included in the set. These requests will
not be accepted and the quantity for this part in the Regular Items section will
be adjusted to 21.

  - You need 5 3/4 pins and you get 6.

The LEGO replacement parts site has 5 included in the set. Request accepted.

  - The gray bush you need 11 or 14 and you get 19.

The LEGO replacement parts site has 15 included in the set. The request to change
the quantity of this part in the Regular Items section will not be accepted.
The request to add extras will be accepted, but the number of extras will be
adjusted down to 4 (one for each sealed bag in the set?).

  - The gray half bush you need 10 or 11 and you get 17.

The LEGO replacement parts site has 13 included in the set. The request to change
the quantity of this part in the Regular Items section will not be accepted.
The request to add extras will be accepted, but the number of extras will be
adjusted down to 4 (one for each sealed bag in the set?).

Since there is not data available on the other requests here, I will need to
take a little more time to go through those with any other information that I
can find.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a personal level, thanks once again for going through another rare inventory!

By the way, since you go through a lot of older sealed sets, you should document
the whole unboxing process for them. That kind of information is not easy to
find for a lot of the sets. Let me know if you would like me to send you example
images of how I do it for older sets that I go through.

Cheers,
Randy

Yes I have no idea what all that would entail.
