I just opened a brand new set. And these extras were not in it. The rest of the inventory was perfect and there were no other extras.

I just opened a brand new set. And these extras were not in it. The rest of the inventory was perfect and there were no other extras.

I believe LEGO started adding these plates as extras to sets around the end of
2012. Therefore, early production runs of this set probably didn't have them
while later production runs would definitely have had them. This can be proven
by the Inventory Change Log for the set which shows that these plates were added
as extras at the beginning of 2013 while the set originally came out in 2012.
