From the help:
-----------------
The format Width x Length x Height, while common among fans, may be replaced
here with the more worldly standard Length x Width x Height. This is due to consistency
and sorting needs among similar items, or to an alternate common name used by
fans. Establishing which dimension is which for a particular part often depends
on the part's common applications.

I guess standardising this may be a huge job so how about introducing some search
functionality that automatically searches both options above?

e.g. a search for 'wedge 3x12' would still find

Part No: 47397 Name: Wedge, Plate 12 x 3 Left
*
47397 Wedge, Plate 12 x 3 Left
Parts: Wedge, Plate

Maybe its just me but I always search using the smaller dimension first - 3x12
for the one above - then have to swap them around if I don't find what I'm
looking for.

Not sure how it would work with the items that have a height dimension as well
but you see what I'm getting at!!

Paul.
