Congratulations! What a nice message to post. I share your sentiments and
gratitude.

In Off Topic, pcthurman writes:
Today when I logged on to Bricklink, I realized that 20 years and 2 days ago,
4/20/2004 I created my account AND placed my first order. 20 years!

Thank you to Dan Jezek for designing Bricklink all those decades ago!

Thank you Bricklink for without this marketplace I would not have had a viable
business model that has worked for 20 years.

Thank you to the countless stores across the world that have provided me with
excellent service!

Thank you to the Community (both in chat & forum) for all the questions answered,
the laughs, the Pizza & Mustard wars, the long debates, the catalog adds & changes,
and a place to go to feel included.

I look forward to the next 20 years whatever they may bring.

Forever grateful,

On the following page in the drop down menu "Show Seller as" you may
choose from "Username, Name or Store Name".

Yes, the emails from seller, Paypal and Bricklink might be confusing. Not sure
what to suggest.

https://www.bricklink.com/orderPlaced.asp

... I would like to see your childhood home built in LEGO. It sounds great.

In Suggestions, joshlobe writes:
I'm in my mid 40's and recently designed my childhood home on stud.io.
Super amazing software. As a cad/cam engineer and software developer myself,
it was a delight!

So, my house has over 8,000 pieces, which resulted in numerous orders through
BrickLink.
After placing over 20 orders, I receive multiple emails.
One from Bricklink for each purchase.
One from PayPal for each purchase.
Another from BrickLink once the order has shipped.
Another from PayPal once the order has shipped.

Each of these emails use various names, or email address, or store names.
It's confusing to identify which email goes with which order.
I often find myself scrolling through emails, looking for a store username, so
I can match it to my BrickLink orders page.

MY SUGGESTION:

Please add the sellers store name (perhaps under the username?) on the buyers
orders page.
This would seriously help with identifying which order goes with which email,
without having to physically click into each order, and find the store name.

Alternatively, if maintaining a single row on the orders page is preferred, could
we maybe add the store name as a "hover" when mousing over the store
username?

Thank you for the consideration.

Did your buyers select "Parcel Shipping"?

You've the following shipping method for buyers in Australia:

Parcel Shipping - Trackable -
Fast and Traceable, shipping fees from $10.90 Shipping charges may change due
to the Volume vs Weight of LEGO parts.

For Parcel Shipping you state that "Shipping charges may change due to the
Volume vs Weight of LEGO parts".

What weights/volumes have you set up for Parcel Shipping in your IC? What are
the volumes and weights of the orders the two buyers are trying to place?

In Shipping, Jukebox45 writes:
I have two buyers today getting the same error message - "item does not
fit in the package"

I cannot see where I have set any limits, and have sold large sets before today.

Any suggestions / advice?

Thanks

There is another message related to a similar problem:

If you don't find a solution I would contact Paypal.

Perhaps your situation is similar to the following:

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1326557

A member got his mother's consent to use her credit card to pay for a Bricklink
order close to $400. The mother subsequently filed a chargeback despite having
given her consent to use her credit card. It is possible that she gave her consent
but not to a $400 order. I don't know how it all ended up.

In Problem Order, mooselover writes:
Had a buyer do a $100+ order, which was shipped and delivered. Arrived Jan 8.
Buyer marked the order COMPLETED shortly afterward.
Today (Feb 26) I get a note from PayPal that the buyer is initiating a chargeback.
No reply from buyer yet via BL messaging nor from direct email.

I've submitted the tracking number, proof of delivery, and screenshot of
the order marked COMPLETED to PayPal in response to their alert. Haven't
heard back from them yet, either.

What other options do I have, other than stop listing the buyer (which I've
done now)?

ALSO: I know from Facebook discussions that at least one other store got the
same chargeback alert today regarding the same buyer with an order around the
same time as mine.

You need to add at least one shipping method to your store to be able to open
up your store. There might also be other things you need to add.

Shipping methods can be added here:

All the best of luck with your store!

I think my store has been created but I have honestly had much trouble navigating
this website and am not sure if I've posted them correctly. Anyway, if you
are interested in buying any or all of these, please reach out to me as I'd
love to get them to a good home where they will be used. The sets are listed
for $300 each. My store is supposed to be North Windy Ridge Robotics.

Here is what Paypal states about prepaid label:

****************************
Prepaid shipping label scam

The buyer asks you to use a prepaid shipping label provided by them, but the
shipping labels could’ve been purchased with a stolen credit card. Or they may
attempt to send the package to another country, PO Box, or an untraceable location.
Tips to help avoid a prepaid shipping label scam: Don’t accept shipping labels
and only ship to the address on the transaction. This also helps ensure that
you remain covered under the PayPal Seller Protection policy on eligible transactions.

****************************

There is only Paypal seller protection if you ship to the buyer's Paypal
address. Your buyer might be a reseller and sending you a label with his customer's
address. It might be of less concern for a $5 purchase.

You may read more here:

https://www.paypal.com/us/brc/article/common-ecommerce-scams-to-avoid

In Help, BrickSelect writes:

do, it appears the buyer has over 100 positive feedback and no negative or neutral
feedback. The dropping it off is no problem, but I just worry about he scames
and am looking for insight. The message is the following:
“ Is there any wear or damage?
If no issues, would you accept my prepaid FedEx label for it. Can be dropped
at any Walgreens if no FedEx. I’ve had no issues using them on here.”

You don't need to fully refund the order if you just need to refund part
of the shipping cost. You may navigate to the order page. On the top of that
page there is a link titled "Issue refund". If you follow that link you
may issue a partial refund.

How should I proceed?

I've part 31464 in yellow *without* a sticker. The part came in yellow in
set 991144 which I purchased in 2006. Set 991144 was released in 1998 and 2002
according to the label on the box. On the label the part is shown in red. The
part color in the 1998 release might have been red.

Set No: 991144 Name: Duplo Promotion Bulk Set
*
991144-1 Duplo Promotion Bulk Set
2006
Sets: Educational & Dacta: DUPLO

In Catalog Requests, StormChaser writes:
Please merge (meaning delete from the catalog) these items:

[P=2961stk01]
[P=9127stk01]

Reasons:

1. The parts list on the set box for 2961 shows the sticker already applied from
the factory.

2. There are several expired auction records online that show photos of both
sets in new condition. In all instances the stickers are already on the mirrors.

3. BrickLink has no image of either sticker sheet.

4. Part 31464 is not currently available for sale without stickers.

If it is proven in the future that these sets came with sticker sheets, then
they can be added to the catalog. Until then, there is no proof for sticker
sheets and a reasonable amount of proof against.

Once the sticker sheets are deleted, some additional catalog/inventory work will
be necessary to clean up.

Thanks.

Hey Lego Friends,

I've now been a member of Bricklink for 20 years. It has been a lot of fun!!
Here are just a few examples of the fun orders placed in my store:

1. Order from Denmark, November 2010

Upon returning from Denmark on Thanksgiving Eve November 2010 I re-opened my
store. The next morning there was an order from Denmark. Not really that interesting
or ....

While I was in Denmark I had visited a relative in Copenhagen. The very first
order that I received upon re-opening my store came from a Bricklink member who
lives two apartments above the relative I had visited. He uses the exact same
stairway to enter his apartment as I had used when I visited my relative. My
relative does not know this member. ... You may look at Denmark as "a grain
of salt" (as Piet Hein would say), but for some Danes, Denmark is 'huge'.

2. Order # 2000000 around January 29, 2011.

This was still the time there was a lot of hype about order numbers that end
with '000000'. I wasn't home when this order was placed (but I do
remember exactly where I was). I did notice that I had received order 2000000
as I had my cell phone. For me it feels like there were hundred of Forum messages
just related to this order. Perhaps the actual number was closer to 10.

3. Order from Holland, November 16, 2016

I received an order from a Dutch member who added a question to the order "How
much would Priority Mail cost". I sent a message to the Dutch member that
I've the same question for you (as I was heading to Amsterdam the following
week). I ended up mailing the order from a post office in Amsterdam.

Thanks for all the fun over the years!

Cheers,
Hanne

Unless you accepted the quote the seller has no order from you.
You should really never send payment directly to Paypal as Bricklink will be
unable to collect the sales taxes.

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2437&q=quote

All the best of luck!

In Help, Justthatpenguin writes:
First time buying from here. Bought from 4 different vendors. First 3 were instant
quotes, paid via PayPal directly from the link. Waited a couple days before getting
a quote from 4th vendor. I opened the email. Copied his email address and paid
it via PayPal app directly. I didn't realize I could do it directly here
too. It's been a week since paying and I have not had any updates. Sent a
message with no response. What further steps should I try here before contacting
PayPal/ my cc company? It was a $50 order.

I recall many years ago that I received an order around 100 lots from Gustav.

BTW how about parting a set out and adding it to your inventory before you actually

There are a waaaay to many Lego colours (see above)
Sorting by colour is the ultimate noob mistake
Postage prices just went up (woops) and postage isn't as simple as I thought
When you're cataloging late at night and duplicate things it hurts later!
When you buy second hand lego there are always a few non-Lego pieces
My wife doesn't appreciate bags of Lego everywhere, thanks brickarchitect.com
for the tips!
Brexit sucks (selling in the EU from the UK is super complicated!)
I still haven't worked out whether it's better to part out or sell the
set (having never successfully sold a set)

Most importantly it's been great to introduce my daughter to Lego and always
have something cool to build with her without buying new sets!

To celebrate I'm offering 20% off everything in store, please check it out
and send any thoughts or feedback (and thank you everyone who has already done
this!)

The result set of the catalog search "Duplo Figure, Female, Yellow Legs,
Blue Top with Yellow and Blue Polka Dot Scarf, Yellow Arms, Brown Hair"

includes the following 3 figures:

Minifig No: 4555pb160 Name: Duplo Figure, Female, Yellow Legs, Blue Top with Yellow and Blue Polka Dot Scarf, Yellow Arms, Brown Hair
*
4555pb160 Duplo Figure, Female, Yellow Legs, Blue Top with Yellow and Blue Polka Dot Scarf, Yellow Arms, Brown Hair
Minifigures: DUPLO

4555pb160a Duplo Figure, Female, Yellow Legs, Blue Top With Yellow and Blue Polka Dot Scarf, Yellow Arms, Brown Hair, no Nose, no White in Eyes Pattern

Two of the figures, 4555pb160 and 4555pb165, look identical but have a small
weight discrepancy.

Should the two entries be merged?
