  Hi there,

Regularly I buy larger or smaller piles of Lego to sort them out, rebuild or
resell. While sorting, I often find small non-Lego parts, many of which seem
to be Playmobil.

Does anyone know if there's a Playmobil marketplace, similar to Bricklink?
As I don't like to throw these parts away.

Regards Peter.

If you are not sure it is Playmobil, you can check it on Playmodb.org. It is
a database like BrickLink, but it is a reference only site. I don't know
if this helps?

With kind regards,

Anthony.

Thank you for the hint. I put this in my anouncement & banner too.

In General, ralphs_bricks writes:
I'd love to get feedback on my splash page from buyers at Bricklink. I'd
like to understand a little bit of what's going through your mind if I made
the splash page the default tab when a buyer comes to my store.

The first 10 users to let me know their thoughts in this thread will receive
a 10% off coupon to my store.

Primarily, I'm looking for feedback on if the splash page makes you want
to stay on my store and shop or if it's annoying and you want to leave and
go to another store right away.

To participate:

1. Navigate to https://store.bricklink.com/ralphs_bricks&utm_content=globalnav#/splash
2. Come back and reply to this message with your thoughts and feedback.
3. I'll issue you a coupon whether the feedback is good or bad

Sincerely,
Ralph's Bricks

My experience on desktop:
At first, it is disorienting and also makes me wonder if I miss something important
in the video when I'm reading the text. (I didn't know you could place
a video, so also that surprised me.) So I was looking what the video was about,
when I saw it is just is a video of inventory, I only started to read. I didn't
made me leave, but it wouldn't have made me want to buy.
Another thing, also mentioned above, is the us instead of an emoji (if you look
good, you see it has a slightly different layout and thus should be an emoji
rather than a spelling error).

Hello,

I came accross some old images of how a message alert looks like on https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=125.
But since BrickLink doesn't look like that anymore, my suggestion is to update
the pictures. It is (or at least sounds) very simple and turns these useless
images into helpful ones. Maybe there are other images (or even texts) that ask
for an update too, but I only came accross this one.

Regards,

Anthony.

In Suggestions, bwk4s writes:
This is an international market and each store has their own shipping rules.
PLEASE find a way to automatically include shipping costs before we request to
buy. You have our zip codes. Automate it. I don't like wasting sellers time
when shipping is outlandish

That would be an awesome feature, but just for domestic shipping (whether it
is for The Netherlands or the USA), there are various shipping companies, each
with their own rules, shipping rates, additional shipping options, etc. And even
with all of that, different sellers use different packaging techniques which
affects dimensions and weights which can cause packages from some sellers to
get a higher shipping rate than it would have been with other sellers. This system
would be labour-intensive or hightech, as it needs to be updated at all times
or connected to all the shipping companies' systems. And then there is international
shipping, which leads to a lot more destinations and many more shipping companies
and therefore countless more shipping options.

This would be an awesome but I fear an impossible feature. In this case, I advise
to go to shops with Instant Checkout, then you won't get any surprising costs.
Good luck!

Regards,

Anthony.

In Inventories, CrazyChris writes:
As we all know, Bricklink was bought by Lego Company a while ago.

So, I am wondering, why does it take so long ("inventory pending") until the
inventories of new sets are online here at Bricklink? What's the problem
to take them directly from the mother company and put them online from release
day #1?

If you see "Inventory pending" a user submitted an inventory which is pending
approval. Maybe you mean both new sets without an inventory and new sets without
an inventory pending?

Regards,

Anthony.

40438-1 (Inv) Extra Dots - Levi Jeans Confetti Bag
110 Parts, 2020
Sets: Dots: Promotional
Why hasn't this been inventoried yet? It's been out for 2 months now
and it's only 110 pieces. It has the exclusive Levi's logo that I want,
but I can't buy because it's not in the catalog. And I'm not paying
$40 just to tear open a sealed bag for a few 1x1 tiles It would be a costly
crime. I think a lot of people want to keep it sealed, but there have to be at
least a few people who are willing to open it, or already have.

It hasn't been inventored yet, because nobody that has the set has done it.
In the first year after release, only people who actually have it can do it.
The only thing you can do is wait for it to be inventored or buy the part somewhere
else before it happens. After a year, you can list the inventory using another
source than having the set in hand.

Regards,

Anthony.
