I'm trying to make a purchase, and PayPal keeps giving me a "We're sorry.
Things don't appear to be working at the moment."

In Technical Issues, thedocwatkins writes:

This seems to be a very hypothetical scenario. I doubt it happens very often,
if at all.
The percentage of NPB's who eventually pay isn't large, at least in my
experience. And the people that did pay after an NPB were apologetic.

I would not be worried about possible retaliatory feedback from an NPB.

Wow. That is seriously messed up. Essentially the seller gets punished because
they won't let the buyer break the terms.

There is nothing preventing the buyer from giving retaliatory feedback in this
case.

Yes, please! It really needs to be an option.

In Selling, greg_zielinski writes:

For option A. the buyer is shown I dialog stating they request to cancel the
order has been received. They choose 1 or 2
1. I did not cancel the order
2. Cancel the order and leave positive feedback (or cancel and no feedback allowed)

This way a seller can cancel the order in an act of good customer service without
risking any negative feedback from the buyer.
