Cory,

WOW!! Thank you. Fairly certain I was destined to be a detective in one of these
lives. I used some deductive reasoning to narrow down a year range, scanned
the Star Wars sets from about 2000-2002, and this one was just glaring at me.
What an amazing and fun set for a kid to enjoy! Nice pick, Dad…

In General, MadiganStation writes:
My argument is in no way based on how large of quantity of the figure a seller
has, it never has been about that. But this discussion always seems to push in
that direction, that’s not what I am saying.

Now, if we want to talk about numbers in context of how many of the other two
exclusive figures in that set have sold over the same time, I would be interested
in having that discussion. That would take cooperation from BrickLink themselves
on getting access to those sales numbers over the past 10 years though…

This was one of the first sets I parted out when starting to experiment with
NEW Minifigures and Parts around 2011-2012. At the time, I lived less than 10
minutes from a LEGO brand store. I parted out at least 15 copies of this set,
because it was a quick and easy ROI (return on investment). ALL of Deadpool’s
I put into the BrickLink supply chain were 100% authentic. And I was a very
amateur Seller back then, so imagine how many copies were parted out by larger
Sellers. Also keep in mind that some Sellers are more savvy about archiving
inventory and waiting for the future when prices skyrocket. While I can appreciate
the pictures, points, and information you provided- the jury is still ‘out’ for
me. I agree that getting access to the sales numbers for the past 10+ years
might be helpful. But also remember that LEGO may have produced 20,000 or more
copies of this set. That’s a LOT of Deadpool’s to go around. This is just my
perspective, so take from it what you will.

Hello everyone! My name is Matt and my son and I just recently started our store!
We have a limited inventory at the moment but we are listing products daily.
We have a ton of new and used items that we still need to list. We haven't
had any orders come in yet but if anyone could help us out by giving us a chance
by ordering from us and leave us a good review to help us grow, it would be
greatly apprecited! Thanks in advance everyone!!!!

P.S. We will be adding more products to our store later today!!!

Your AboutMe page states that you are beginning by selling off the LEGO items
that your son no longer plays with. But I noticed that all of the Minifigures
you have listed are NEW. Your Store Terms doesn’t outline your approach to New
vs. Used items. So I’m wondering if these Minifigures are actually New, coming
from sealed bags and only handled for sorting and storage? Or were these something
your son had on display, played with once, etc? Thanks for clarifying this important
question for potential Buyers.

  Greetings Bricklink,

I have an order being shipped to a PO number, is that the same as a PO Box number?
It is "Unconfirmed" according to PayPal but is listed as their PayPal
address. So, the PayPal address matches the order address. Is this safe to send?

Thanks,

AJ

I just dealt with this exact issue today! Let me guess, the order is going to
Colorado Springs? Normally, I would send the Buyer a message asking to clarify.
But I was in the process of creating several shipping labels, and my mail carrier’s
arrival was imminent. When I added the word “Box” after “PO”, the address switched
to ‘Confirmed.’ So let’s hope for the best!

I got a Lego lot from that really popular auction app, and what was in the picture
was 3 times more than what I received… top is what I have, bottom is what was
advertised. Second picture is noticeable missing items.

It doesn’t even look like the same lot to me. Did the listing state “includes
everything as pictured” or have listed weight and stated “actual weight”? I’m
guessing the Seller uses a recycled photo on their listing OR sold the same listing
3x and sent everyone 1/3 of what was pictured. It’s a frustrating situation
nonetheless.

I broke my first LEGO piece today. I’ve never actually broken one myself, I’ve
just seen the occasional broken part in a bulk brick acquisition. I had heard
that reddish-brown was problematic, but this was a dark red Slope, Curved 2
x 1 x 2/3. It broke in half when I tried to pull it off a 2 x 4 plate! I needed
2 of them for the top of an arch thing I am making, and I only had 3 in my whole
collection! (Only 2 now.) So luckily I had exactly one to spare. But it kinda
startled me because this kind of thing has never happened to me before!

Depending on the era, and what type of climate/conditions/storage it was subjected
to, Dark Red can be extremely brittle! I have broken a large amount of Dark
Red and Reddish Brown parts during disassembly using a brick separator. Once
I have a suspect batch, I start grabbing the parts and give them a slight bend-
and they snap like crackers in my hands. Then into the circular file (trash)
they go.

Just curious, is there a reason you have this $2 Minifigure priced at $100 with
cracked arms and a cracked torso? Or was it just a listing error on you part?

Also, I personally don’t sell any Minifigures with cracks on them. Since this
is mainly a collector and enthusiast site, I consider damaged Minifigures to
be unworthy of this marketplace. I suspect you will find many people here who
agree with that sentiment.

Cory,

Thanks for sharing. I have been out of 3x5 for a while and was reusing the smallest
LEGO in-set cellophane bags, which I would heat seal. I was also running low
on 2x3, my preferred Minifigure and small parts size. Just ordered BOTH from
the vendor you recommended. You should get a commission!

I had ordered my 2x3 bags from the same vendor on ebay for several years, but
the price jumped from $12 per 1000 (when last ordered in 2022) to $19 now! Your
vendor beat that by $4. SOLD!

I used to chase feedback, and begged (kindly) to remind people to post. In the
early days I had a 85% feedback response rate. Today, that rate has dropped
to less than 60% and would probably be about 50% without reminders.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one noticing this trend. Feedback numbers
have dropped off dramatically for me in the last couple years. People don't
even mark the orders as "Received" or "Completed" in most cases.

I have never chased feedback as you mention. But I did move away from waiting
for someone else to post it first. I'm happy to go first so long as you
change the order status to Received or Completed. And for Zero feedback Buyers,
I post as soon as their payment is made, in order to help out the newcomers or
those looking to sell on the site.

As silly as it may sound, feedback is important to me. I enjoy knowing that
someone is happy with the product and service provided. And it helps motivate
me to continue working hard and satisfying the community. I've been inching
towards the 5k milestone but at a snail's pace.

I noticed that many items are listed as NEW with the description saying “Excellent
condition” or “Good condition”. New means New, plain and simple. This leads
me to believe the items are actually USED items and listed incorrectly as New.
There is a Patrick Head listed as New where the description reads “Good condition
with minor cracks”. So that’s another Red Flag.

Lastly, it appears that you mainly sell Sets. So I’m not sure that would “boost”
someone’s inventory. It would be an extremely long and pain-staking process
for a subsequent Seller to inventory and verify all of those sets.

Thank you for posting this information and bringing it to our attention. The
current/previous price breaks for FCPS (First Class Package Service) were in
4 oz increments (0-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-15.99). The new chart for FCPS shows breaks
in 5 oz increments (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 15.99 by itself). Does anyone know if
that change will be permanent and/or has already occurred?

I don't see what you see. The price increments are still 4 oz. But there
are lines in the table every 5 oz.

Ah, thank you for pointing that out. I saw the lines in the table at 5 oz. breaks
and wrongly assumed (without studying the numbers) that those were new rate divisions.
