Friends,

I'm colorblind (red-green) and struggle with successfully identifying some
of these colors. I had no idea there were so many variations of the color gray!
Has anyone put together a convenient brick color guide? I'd happily
buy one so that I don't order wrong.

Thanks in advance!

Hello.

I have a huge dilemma.

Yes, I know that I can do what I like when it comes to my own LEGO, and I really
NEED to find out the best way to get 2 specific parts coloured to the colour
I need.

I've built a Harry Potter "Knight Bus" in the same manner as the Creator
"London Bus" set, and this has been 99% successful, with the exception of this
part:-

Part No: 24599 Name: Brick, Round Corner 5 x 5 x 1 without Studs
*
24599 Brick, Round Corner 5 x 5 x 1 without Studs
Parts: Brick, Round

This element NEEDS to be in Dark Purple

As I'm based in the UK, I really need to find the nearest and best product
to use to get this covered in Dark Purple (paint, or even some kind of wrap/lacquer)

Other than trying to get someone to 3-D print one, I'm stuck.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi,

I think this may be a stupid question.... however, i'm confused about how
there are X number of colours under known for a certain item, then there are
Y (often a lot more) colours on sale of that item.

For instance i'm in the process of making colour minifigures with all my
plain spare parts, and there are about 30 known colours of a plain torso, but
then about 60 colours on sale?

Thanks!

Does anyone know where this fence might be from?
Was it in any of the Maersk sets?

Any info would be appreciated.

I got 9 of these from Pick A Brick but I am not sure of the color. I think it
is Nougat, but I want other opinions before I list them.

Thanks!

Recently found sort of, a normal yellow Modulex LEGO logo 2x4 brick!

With the help of TLV parts, see also picture by Yoav.

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=Mx1142L&name=Modulex%20Brick%202%20x%204%20(Lego%20on%20studs)&category=%5BModulex,%20Brick%5D#T=S&C=137&O={"color":137,"rpp":"10","iconly":0}

Go buy them while they are still cheap

Is there a way to see in the catalog what pieces that come in the most unique
colors. I have a color chart made from 3001 bricks and a few other random parts
right now, but I'd kind of like to make a smaller more compact version.
Was wondering if there was an easy way to get this info.

Thanks,
Pete

Hello everyone!!
I have recently paid for a mock, gotten the instructions and parts list files
etc and are now slowly ordering all the parts. Today it has come to my attention
that some of the parts look like one color to me but were meant to be another...

So, the question I would like an answer too, is there a noticeable difference
in the "Bright Light Orange" color and the "Yellow" color??

I am slightly red/green color blind so there might be that but I'm not sure
and are wandering if i need to switch all the future parts i order from bright
light orange to yellow :s

Hi
I want to understand the logic behind the color names.
Why medium lavender is not dark lavender?
Medium suppose to be lighter than the main color, isn't it?
Like medium green, medium orange, medium blue and medium brown.
The medium lavender is much darker than lavender, so the name for it should be
dark lavender.
What do you think?

Hope this post is in the right place.
It's bugged me a while now that the Bionicle eye stalk piece that is included
in 8534, 8540 and 8572 is listed as trans dark pink despite the face that it's
more of a neon red-magenta color. As far as I know there are no other pieces
in this color, so I understand that it would probably be a waste of time to create
a new color just for one piece, but it may cause confusion for some that the
listed color is not actually the color in which the piece comes.

I'm relatively new to selling on brick link and even less experienced with
vintage sets. I acquired a fairly complete 1984 Knight's Castle set 6073.
I was missing several light gray bricks and I purchased some on brick link. I
know that there can be variation in color between different production runs and
from year to year. Then you have the time factor, sun fading, etc. I took several
pictures of my light gray bricks and I placed a new light bluish gray brick on
top that I took from a recent star wars set. My question to the group is. Are
all these bricks light gray? Should I even bother trying to sell a set with this
kind of color variation? How much of a detraction is this from the sets value?
Thanks.

I have these two pieces of part 55236 with different coloring. They both glow
in the dark, but there is only one glow in dark color entry, for Glow In Dark
Opaque.

Part No: 55236 Name: Plant Vine Seaweed / Appendage Spiked / Bionicle Spine
*
55236 Plant Vine Seaweed / Appendage Spiked / Bionicle Spine
Parts: Plant

Is one discolored? Are there color variances within Glow In Dark Opaque?

Thanks.

I have some bricks that I can't give the right color when listing them in
my inventory.
It is between trans green and trans bright green. See picture middle brick 1x8.
Can we call it trans medium green ??

What do you think and how to handle this color. I bought the bricks a years ago
at Legoland Deutschland and didn't use them. So I want to sell some of them.

I have in my possession part 86059 (Rein with Bridle Flexible) in dark gray -
NOT dark bluish gray. I find this curious, since the part wasn't manufactured
until 2009, long after old dark gray was phased out. I am certain it not discolored
from sun exposure, because the color is uniform on all areas of the part. And
I doubt it is just a variation in color due to its material, because it is VERY
close in color to other dark gray parts. Any ideas?

(I was going to post a picture to show the comparison, but my phone did not capture
the colors well enough to show the difference/similarity between the parts.)

Has anyone (besides me) seen the newer LEGO knock-offs?! It's almost as if
someone defected from LEGO and took the color recipes with them!! The latest
batch I got at auction is loaded with them. I used to be able to tell the difference
just by looking at them. The colors were always just a little off, and many didn't
come in anything close to the LEGO colors. I have had to check every single piece
of this latest batch because the colors are almost identical! And pieces that
didn't come in the oh-so-close LEGO colors now do!! The colors are so close
that I've had to look at the smaller pieces under a magnifying glass to check
for the LEGO logo! It's frustrating to pay for what I think is a box of LEGO
only to find more than 3/4 are knock-offs!!

If anyone else is buying their stock at auction or at Thrift stores, check very
carefully that what you have is genuine LEGO.

I need some help about discolored white new parts.

How is it possible that new white parts are not really white any more?
I have part out some brand new sets (straight from the box) some months ago and
I sold some white parts. Now I get the question from the buyer that the parts
are not really white. I have stored the parts in a drawer where there is no sunlight.
How is it possible that the parts are not really white any more? is it a factory
mistake or is it the dark drawer ore what else.
Can any body help me what the problem is.

I got this piece as part of an auction buy. It's a genuine LEGO piece, plate
4x8, but I cannot identify the color. It's not Tan, nor is it Bright Light
Yellow, it's lighter. I thought it might be Light Lime but there's no
green tint to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
