Not sure if this has been asked before…. But is there a Lego Building program,
similar to the Bricklink Studio… available as a app or can use on a iPad?

Maybe it depends on how you build it.

Analogy (not sure if the story is true, but the phenomenom is real):
When the Japanese built the lines for the Shinkansen, they had trouble with the
catenaries.  It appeared that there was a resonance because the length between
pillars was too regular.  They solved the problem by specifying different lengths
between the pillars.
No proplem in France with the TGV lines.  No specification needed

So maybe you need to not be too precise in building the model and the problem
doesn’t appear

I wonder if anyone else has built this. I noticed, after building, that the windscreen
did not close properly and it looks like there is a tiny collision here (p. 102
in the online instructions - step 162). For myself I moved the white ingot pieces
back a stud and that solved the issue, but I'm less than happy with how the
result works - the ingots should line up with the printed tiles.

Hmm, yeah, it’s very tiny on my virtual model.  The kind of things you think
should be well under real parts’ tolerances… and actually isn’t

Huh. On the ride, the narrator is the "Ghost Host" who looks like this. He has
a different costume. However, the cast members who guide you in do, in fact,
have the same costume! That must be it!

They come from set #0000 Test Bricks:
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=0000-1#T=S&O={%22rpp%22:%22100%22,%22iconly%22:0}

Joking aside, if I understand correctly, test bricks are produced as part of
TLG's manufacturing process. Some TLG employees like to keep test bricks
as souvenirs or to give to friends, much like retail store employees are allowed
to take cardboard boxes from work that would otherwise be discarded. Eventually,
some of them end up for sale on BrickLink. Some other types of rare items share
similar origins. I'm sure maxx3001, Stuart9, and other rare brick collectors
can provide more details about the origin of these bricks.

For 2x4 test bricks, produced in the 60s / 70s by chemical companies for Lego
( in moulds provided by Lego): they were given out as presents / were available
for employees for a few pennies.

A lot, because I would be bidding against you.
None of us has an intact sprue with the test parts attached.

My nickname is still in moderation after an hour. I think someone is in a cubicle

The suspense is too much! Did you get it??

I just checked and it is still in moderation.

  Hi rab1234,

Thank you for your questions.

The information we shared is to give our BrickLink members a chance to secure
their BL usernames for the future integration with LEGO account that will take
place next year.

As you might know, it has not been possible to create a custom nickname on the
LEGO account in the past and so deciding to open up for this feature, we wanted
to give you a head start to lock down your nickname to match your BrickLink username
because we know that in the future we will be integrating with LEGO account and
at that point some members might appreciate having the same or similar username.

The accounts will be linked at some point, if you do nothing now, it will mean
that you have the default nickname given to you when you created your account
and unless you change that, it will remain the same when the accounts are linked.
You can change the nickname anytime, this is just a chance for you to change
it before someone else takes the username that you use o BrickLink

If you have more questions there might be answers to be found in the message
that was recently posted, it also links to an FAQ
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1375865

I am glad to hear from you once again, as I was worried since your last communication
was nearly 5 months ago and that was only to wish Daniel Jezek a happy birthday.
How ironic, does TLG even think about what Dan would have wanted? I know we can't
read minds, but it can be inferred from what his spirit was when he was alive.

I am also certainly glad that TLG has time to implement something that is alienating
their customers as opposed to correcting serious flaws on the Bricklink website.
I am sure this will be fully tested (yeah, right!) before being rolled out at
one of the historically busiest times of the year outside the holiday season.
This does nothing for your users, except making their data more milkable for
information by TLG.

Please tell us how this helps us, the community (or is this something you can't
engage the community on, Ms. Community engagement?), other that the disingenuous
pap " members might appreciate having the same or similar username." Is this
the only benefit TLG could think of? Smells to high heaven to me.

I will be doing $0 holiday spending on Lego.com in protest to the fumbles on
Bricklink this year.

Signed me,
A seriously disappointed Bricklinker and Lego user.

p.s. required anti-ban message, this is out of frustration and not malice.

It is legit. A Forum announcement is coming.

I believe I've completed the process though even after patiently waiting
I'm left with an endless spinning timer message:-

"Nickname in moderation

We’re just checking your new nickname:"

Does this sound normal?

Mine also is getting the "Nickname in moderation" message with the spinning wheel,
it has been like that for several hours. I have tried clearing cache/cookies
and using a different browser but it is still the same. Not sure if it will fix
itself eventually or what I need to do.

Mine too...

My Question is - Did I need to actually create a Lego account? I have never need
to go there for any reason. So now I have followed through and made a account,
for some reason I now have a problem listing items in my store. Every time I
try to list it asks me to log in every time I flip a page to list. Any help in
this matter I thank you.

Already don't like that I can't use my bricklink store name as it's
already used on lego.com.

I think it is the word Brick that is forbidden, I tried an unique name with bricks
in it and it is rejected. SMH, not only is Lego verbotten, but brick, plate,
and tile all are too!

I am not happy, as I am not going to change my Branding just so Lego can consolidate
and track users, which is what this is ultimately about, more data milking.

Read the FAQ https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2576

It’s not about your store name (MacsBricks), it’s your username (macebobo).
Your store name won’t change.

I know what you are saying, however, it will not accept MacsBricks or MaceboboBricks
or Macs_Bricks, or anything (apparently for me) with bricks in it. If someone
has has success with using Bricks in their name, I will change my opinion.

My point still stands, I do not want to be data mined by Lego, and this is where
this is all leading. It adds zero value for me and is profitable for Lego.

I opened a new account because they said we could and I use a different email
address for BrickLink. I couldn't change the assigned id using edit but there
was another link, I can't remember exactly but something like help me choose
an id and it went through.
