I'm a fan of Heinlein, have MANY of his books, and I know how to read his
words at 2nd or 3rd level.
Otherwise, at 1st level it's pretty stupid, but that's what's genious
in how he writes.
And the Starship Troopers is a GOOD movie to represent this book.
At the 1st level, it's action and dumb - but then it's a far deeper movie
Apart this, OP member have difficulties, and the shop seems toxic.
NSS, Claim, Report - and he already gave the shop a Negative, which is pretty
brave.
Bravo!

Have you tried:
Logging out - clear browsing history - quit browser, reopen browser - logging
back into BL selecting minimally "Preference cookies" - selecting classic

Works for me using Chrome

Also their responses. Everyone can make a mistake and there is no pleasing some
people, but if you are running a business you have to act professionally. And
if this is a just a hobby then you should still show some respect to people who
gave you their business, even if you aren't totally pleased. Screaming that
someone is a thief, and a scammer is not a good look for a seller, even if they
are. It makes me wonder if I have an issue how will they respond?

Bricklink does support buyers. It provides a feedback system you can use before
purchasing to check if others have had issues with the seller. It also blocks
a seller's account if they have had three NSS completed.

Email is almost instantiations, shipping times aren't, but never let it go
past the PayPal time limit, you can always resend them the money. And a lot of
the sellers here are on Brickowl. Looking at who you left the feedback for I
wouldn't have bought from them based on their feedback. Yes, I might get
a perfect transaction with them, but if not then it looks like a problem. Good
luck and I hope you get better service with other sellers. look at my feedback
and pick one of them.

This seller gives awesome service.
But if you are looking for a rarer part, I know your choices are limited.

| According to PayPal, you have 180 days from the purchase date; if you wait 6
months then there's really nobody to blame but yourself, sorry to say - usually
1 month is the deadline I would give for things to arrive unless the seller explicitly
states there are delays in getting stuff shipped
If it's only been 3 months, file a claim and get your money back

If the seller refunds for the missing / damaged / wrong parts and shows proof
of it, then the NSS will be removed. However, the buyer might still leave negative
feedback. So the store can have a poor feedback score without being suspended.

you if you make a complaint to them, as they are the one that deals with the
finance side (if you paid that way).
Bricklink also supports buyers through publishing feedback from previous customers.
If a seller obtains lots of negative feedback for issues before you buy, then
you are warned about it if you look at the feedback. The seller you bought from
had already received quite a bit of negative feedback before your order was placed
and would have had a low percentage rating. Did you look at it before you bought?

This does not work once you pass the length of time given by Paypal. JoanyBrick
canceled my order after 3 months of back and forth but it was too late to get
the funds back from Paypal and this seller never returned the funds or responded.

| I have filed a couple of complaints over the last 2 years that I filed with Bricklink
after trying to resolve the situation with the sellers over numerous weeks.
One issue was they shipped bootleg minifig parts and we even submitted clear
pictures of what was shipped. The second order with a different buyer, they
shipped minifigs with the wrong colored parts. I've lost a total of $65
over these two orders - both of which were gifts for my son. There's no
buyer support and no protection from scammers. This last guy had 12 complaints
in the last year for the same issues and Bricklink is doing NOTHING about it.
The guy is a jerk and I'm out the money. Anyone else having this trouble?

| I was excited that I could choose the transaction and report it.
A reply came back quickly and said that I missed the 180 day window for making
a claim.
I located all the emails where the seller and I both noticed the tracking and
saw it left Germany and was going back inside the USA (Where tracking stops).
If you look up the tracking number now, it says delivered. The seller was just
trying to cast doubt on this, but I showed him his own email where he is telling
me "look at that last line" ...it means it is back in the USA now.
The seller and I exchanged a few emails yesterday. As soon as I asked him "So,
can I get 50% of the product refunded now?" He ghosted me.
I cannot believe that people can act like that.
Since Bricklink purged my order (without me even knowing), I cannot even leave
a warning to others, much less a review.
Since this has happened, I have not purchased anything on Bricklink.

| Easy answer, no, you cannot sell them here. It's copyright infringement. |

Instead of reporting them...
Why not just choose to purchase from stores where you are in agreement with their
Terms and Conditions.
|
I read the terms of every store selected via "Buy All". However, this
week (for example) I got a surprise fee that was not mentioned anywhere in their
terms page. This time the fee was a reasonable amount for packing materials.
But I really wish everyone would disclose any fees in the terms page. Otherwise
it annoys people. Assembling multiple carts is enough of a pain without that
game.

Going by the rules on
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=103
| ...
Replicas and Counterfeit Items: All LEGO items must be original and genuine. Replica boxes, photocopies of instructions, or any other counterfeit listings are not permitted.
|
This should include Replicated Sticker Sheets and Stickered Items with such Stickers.
If it wasn't BL would be full with counterfit sticker sheets and parts which
may also be copyright infringement in certain cases.

Not really. At the very least they should be listed as incomplete sets, as they
are not complete if they are missing the original stickers. Personally, I think
the replica stickers should be removed so as not to cause confusion later on.
I think third party direct copy replacements for official LEGO parts to be problematic.
You know they are not original and you may say this when you sell them, but when
the next person comes to sell them, they might not have realised when they bought
it or they find it years later and sell it as having the original stickers, when
in reality they have replica or fake parts (as in copies of the genuine LEGO
items masquerading as the originals). In that sense, I find custom created items
that are different to genuine LEGO products less a problem, as they are not pretending
to be something that they are not and there should not be confusion as to whether
they are genuine.

| Hello everyone,
I´m a long-time collector but quite new in the selling game, and I have a question
that I didn´t find a clear answer to yet.
I like to restore vintage sets, and for my personal collection I sometimes use
replica stickers - usually from 'brickstickershop' - to restore and brigthen
up the sets. They´re high-quality stickers matching original size and colours,
and often are available for sets where it´s hard or even impossible to get the
original sticker sheets anymore.
So every now and then the collection gets too big, and I´d like to sell some
of the sets again.
My questions about this are:
- Is it acceptable / legal to offer vintage sets which use replica stickers?
(Of course with the explicit note in the offer listing that replicas were used.)
- If yes, should it be listed as 'custom item' or would it be okay to
list in the original category? (again, with explicit note of replica stickers
being used.)
Notes: I'm not planning to sell replica sticker sheets, which I know are
third-party items and are not allowed here. I´m just speaking of a handful of
sets where replica stickers were already applied. (picture below shows my 363/555
hospital with replica stickers.)
Sorry for the wall of text, but I want to do everything correct. I´m very thankful
for any constructive answers.

The following option can be selected:-
Make sale prices (and all tier prices) the base prices.
Round results to 2 decimals.
Does this option work across the whole store inventory by selecting the Current
Items for Sale pricing?
Thanks in advance to all.

It works on whatever categories you select.
If you are not sure what you are doing, then download your inventory and close
your store before you try it. That way, you can restore if you mess up.

Bricklink must legally comply with SB-478 Consumers Legal Remedies Act, which
will be the law in the state of California effective July 1, 2024.
Personally rather than create a system that specifically targets California sellers,
I would prefer a prohibition on the practice of unnecessary fees sitewide.
The practice itself is deceptive, because it manipulates the price guide, making
some sellers prices look artificially cheap.
Under the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Section 1770(a)
The unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices
listed in this subdivision undertaken by any person in a transaction intended
to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer
are unlawful:
(29) (A) Advertising, displaying, or offering a price for a good or service
that does not include all mandatory fees or charges other than either of
the following:
(i) Taxes or fees imposed by a government on the transaction.
(ii) Postage or carriage charges that will be reasonably and actually
incurred to ship the physical good to the consumer.

You could try, but i don't think 10% is going to be deemed excessive. I have
seen stores that charge a nominal amount for parts + a gigantic "handling
fee" shut down for fee avoidance (BL fees are not charged on shipping).

| Lol, so they ignore the people asking about it on the forum to the point someone
contacts Lego corporate to get an answer, then they just outright lie about it?
Or are the handful of people on the forum the ones lying?
I'm surprised the BL team didn't take 3 months to reply to the person
at Lego, but then again they'd actually have to face consequences if that
was the case
