The complete quote is:
“It’s helpful to use bright colors inside of a model for the sake of contrast
in the building instructions. When doing this, use only basic colors. Don’t use
rare colors like Flat Silver, Pearl Gold, Trans-Clear, or Dark Red.”
So it’s about “filler” bricks: bricks that are not seen or barely seen.
Disclaimer: In case you don’t know, as you’re new here, forum moderators are
not employees. So my answer is not official.
But again, of course you can use the available bricks in the available colours
for your model.
Otherwise they wouldn’t be in the palette

“The building instructions must be completed to a certain level before the submisison
date. They do not need all the bells and whistles of published instructions,
but they must have step inventories, and they must be clear enough to build from.”

Yes. From our FAQ:
If I submitted a project to LEGO IDEAS that reached 10,000 supporters and was
NOT approved, or if my project expired before reaching 10k, may I submit to BrickLink
Designer Program?
Yes. If your submission meets the BDP Series 1 Submission Guidelines, you may
submit a design already submitted to LEGO IDEAS, provided it has either reached
10k and was NOT approved, or it has Expired and is no longer active on LEGO IDEAS.

similar to the Bricklink Studio… available as a app or can use on a iPad?

Is there anyone out there willing to provide their services and design me something?
Best design gets $25 worth of credit in my store. (I really have no idea how
big a task it is to design what I'm looking for, so I have no idea how to
assign a monetary value to it.)
What I need:
My son was gifted this non-lego Truman the Tiger set. kind of cool, but non-lego
(yuck!)
I would like to give him a real lego Truman the Tiger build. I'm thinking
12"-15" tall.
Picture 2 is a model of what I would like.
Thanks a bunch

If you have a digital 3D model of the statuette you want, Studio has an [Import
Model] [from .obj] function.

| Hey,
Does anyone have any info on the expected delivery dates for the designer program
sets in the US?
I've received an email from LEGO every week since July 4th telling me that
my Clockwork Aquarium is back ordered and to expect it to ship in about a month.
That's 7 different messages so far. The one I just got on Aug 19th says it
will ship by Sept 18th. It's getting kinda annoying.

And now I've received a couple more messages and my order 'Will be shipped
by Oct 4, 2022'
It's the false expectation created by providing the date that irks me. Why
not just say: 'We have no idea when you are getting this. It's crossing
the ocean on a very slow boat.'

Well, I got a notice of shipment on Wednesday and my set arrived yesterday. The
communication system for this whole experience was a mess, but I guess it is
what it is??
I hope the rest of the US orders are all finally arriving! If anyone has the
Mountain Windmill, the Modular LEGO store, or the Great Fishing Boat and wants
to give the inventory a try, I am happy to walk you through the process.

| It's crazy. I purchased one of the Bowling Alley sets and just called after
my 9th "we meant two weeks from now" emails. The rep I spoke was was very sympathetic
but had no other information for me.
I was like "You can tell me Next March...Just enough with the 'You're
only two weeks away emails'."
I'm beginning to feel like Charlie Brown and Lego is playing Lucy. LOL

It couldn’t be a refund as it should have been only an authorization, not a payment.
So it should just be the expiration of that authorization.
Have you checked your order with LEGO? (Not BL, LEGO Customer Services.)
|
LEGO charged my card on July 28, 2022, after emailing a tracking number (that
never activated).
Then LEGO emailed on August 22 saying that they didn't have any sets to ship
and were issuing a refund.
Refund appeared on card on August 26.

A true cancellation then. That sucks.

| Hi,
Total noob to Bricklink and really excites by the Designer Program sets. I know
the boat has totally sailed on some really cool sets, but is there a way to get
alerts for if/when new sets are going to be released and voted on etc??
Look forward to hearing more and one day hopefully getting my paws on one
or a few in the future. I know you can build them yourself but I like the convenience
of all the bits etc in 1 box!

Hi,
No info yet on a 2rd program (or 3rd, depends on how you count).
If there’s one, it’ll be advertised on the main page (and on all AFOL websites
out there) and undoubtfully in the newsletters ( https://www.bricklink.com/pref_contact.asp
and scroll down to see the checkbox to subscribe).

Same here, except with the Modular LEGO Store. It is agitating to think that
a multi-million dollar company can’t just ship the sets directly from the factory
or at least combine them and send a few pallets of sets express to the US so
they could be distributed quickly. People in Europe have been posting photos
of their sets for a while now but the US and Canada have seen nothing but automated
emails.

I have the same message about a September delivery. However, it took exactly
one year for me to get my order from the first round, so realistically, I am
not expecting my Clockwork Aquarium until November.
