It is really sad to hear that a 100% feedback has been ruined and it sucks

But I suspect the person who gave it to you has no idea of what the implication
is, and in the grand scheme of things, it really more of a psychological thing
than a practical thing. No one is not going to be buy from your store because
you have a one neutral feedback. Buyers look at the overall percentage and only
will have pause it there is significant amount of negative feedback.

The reality is that no one is 100% perfect all the time, no one can have 100%
perfect interactions, so give yourself a break and just accept that you are human
and let the buyer have their cancellation It is not worth making an issue out
of it.

My store used to have a track record of 100% praise.

But recently a new member ordered and requested to cancel after that, for which
he left a neutral feedback. The comment itself is neutral, just a word "thank
you". But it ruins the 100% record, unfortunately.

Any suggestions for preventing things like this?

My thought is to deny any cancellation request--and include that in the store
terms.

But if buyers feel they are forced to buy--sellers are putting himself to
a dangerous situation as well. Buyers may look for defects and a negative feedback
may still result.

P.S. Suggestions regarding store is also welcomed. I am looking for that to improve
as well. Thank you in advance.

You can leave feedback on the feedback page

https://www.bricklink.com/feedbackPost.asp

or the links can be found on your orders placed page next to your current orders

Would you leave negative feedback based on the interaction? Or just move on since
you got the refund?

Not in my opinion (whatever that is worth).
Personally, I might leave a neutral depending on the degree of rudeness (which
is very subject to opinion).
I reserve negative for cases of where I am certain I was cheated even after effort
was made to get the seller to make things right.

I have more often avoided buying from a seller due to their responses to feedback
than I have due to actual feedback.

Interesting point.

I have had a lot of really great experiences here, and actually really only one
bad.

Why isn't there a secret 10-point Likert-scale you could give the seller.

I feel that positive-neutral-negative is not enough..

  Hello Bricklink Community !

I have a technical question regarding certain building techniques that I am unfamiliar
with, and I was wondering if someone could please help me out.

The instructions to a SW Tie Defender MOC tell me to insert a 1 x 1 plate with
thin O clip into the back of a 1 x 1 modified headlight brick (parts 4085a and
4070, respectively). I have a screenshot of the steps attached below.

I personally have never thought to use this technique, but the idea is amazing.
It lowers the top of the clip half a plate thickness relative to the top of the
headlight brick, which can yield greater detail and greater precision in elevation.

However, when I found the pieces in my own collection and replicated the build,
the clip did not initially fit into the back of the headlight. I had to flex
the clips uncomfortably far to fit them into the headlight and once inside, they
remained flexed. The possible internal stresses on the part worry me greatly
!

Does anyone have any experience with this technique? If so, what are your thoughts
on it? Is there a better alternative I can experiment with?

All your help is greatly appreciated, thank you !

Let me answer your subject line “Is rudeness grounds for negative feedback" by
posing another question: Is politeness grounds for positive feedback?

Let’s say after receiving two orders, you find one to be substandard albeit
with placating and very polite comms - The other, superb in respect to shipping-packaging-pricing
and product quality, but accompanied by what you consider to be “rude” comms.

What then would be the considered respective feedbacks? An even more trenchant
question to ask oneself: which of the two would you continue buying from?

Personally in looking back, I've spent the largest amount of money over the
years on BL with perhaps one of the rudest I've come across here. Just added
thoughts when pondering all things feedback…

I still think that the “feedback system” will be the last thing that e-commerce
sites end-up conquering with sound solution.

This is a particular moment I do not want to receive any feedback for a while!

I think I was kind of aware how things would turn out once I receive more feedbacks.

It is unfair and disappointing this buyer, who had ordered from me three times,
have read the store's terms but do not comply with store's terms, buy
cheap instructions, complains (politely) about their condition, and still prefers
to keep the item instead of return and receiving full refund.

As a buyer, I am either happy with item, so I leave positive feedback, or I am
not satisfied, in which case I accept to return and get a full refund.
