Hi and welcome

I'm having some issues and questions. I
was hoping I could get help here! Here are my questions:
1. Do I have to enter every spare LEGO piece into rebrickable in order to keep
track of my parts for bricklink? I'm doing it by hand for each part.

There’s a new feature called “My Collection” here on BL… but it’s not really
useful yet: it doesn’t link to your Wanted Lists (WLs) and ‘arithmetics’ (merge,
intersect, difference) with orders, WLs and My Collection are a pain.

Rebrickable is able to fetch¹ and import² your BrickLink orders and WLs.

You may also use BrickStore (application) to manage your inventory.

¹ Fetch: it connects to BL for you and download and import.
² Import: you can download yourself and then upload the files.

  2. I have uploaded my io file into the wanted section of bricklink a few times
because I was figuring it out. Each time I upload, it seems to increase the
part quantities.

When you upload, you can choose the WL you want or create a new WL.
Uploading _adds_ to what was previously there, it doesn’t clear the WL before.
This way, you can upload a WL in bits (for instance, two small models together).

For .io files, the WL defaults to the name of the model.  So if you upload the
same file, it will put it in the same WL.
So you can either delete the whole WL (see below), or delete the items in the
WL before uploading.

To delete the items:
— you set the number of items per page to the max,
— you select all the items on the page by clicking the checkbox in the header
of the table
— then you click on the trashbin icon.
— repeat until the WL is totally empty.

How do I stop it from doing this? I tried to delete the old
wanted list and start over but I couldn't see how to do that.

To delete a WL, open the Setup dialog (from the list of your WLs, not from ‘inside’
the WL): there’s a delete button at the bottom left.

Note that you can’t delete or rename the special “Default Wanted List.”

  3. I was trying to just use the checklist on the rebrickable MOC to buy the parts
on LEGO and use bricklink for the parts I couldn't get. But LEGO capped
me out at a certain number of parts and wouldn't let me keep ordering. Would
it make sense to try to buy what I can from LEGO (for VIP points) and the rest
from bricklink? Or just buy everything from bricklink?

Well, I guess BL sellers would say “Buy everything here!  And from MY store!”

AFAIK, you can / have to make multiple orders on Pick-a-Brick to bypass the cap.

Some parts may be cheaper on PaB but not all.  Managing multiple sources and
checking prices can be complicated and take time.

On BL,
— if you use EasyBuy, it’s easy (duh!) but you don’t have much control on it,
— if you use Auto-select (from the Buy page: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page
), you can set filters (location for instance), and fine-tune / select stores,
etc.
So you can choose simple or complicated.

Choosing is always complicated

didn't know there were so many others Lego sites i can go sell on & that
my buyers can go buy on.
i guess finding the best fees & ease of access would be something sellers & buyers
would like.
thanks for mentioning them here.
which one is the best for sellers & which one is best for buyers?

  Hi All,

I have a wanted listed. And i want to see only results of the shops that are
in my favoriet list. I know there is an indicator, but i want to filter it my
wanted list on my favoriet shops.. is this possible?

Yes, kind of.

(1)
Above the results on

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page

there is an option "Show first: [] Favorited"

(2)
In your wanted list settings at

https://www.bricklink.com/wantedSettings.asp?viewFrom=P

there is an option "Sort My Most Favorite Stores on Top and My Least Favorite
Stores on Bottom in My Wanted Items By Shop."

This has effect on the Classic Wanted List By Shop:

https://www.bricklink.com/wantedShop.asp?showOld=Y

Nicely found! .. only thing is that i need it on item level. This gives me the
number of items what are in my favourite shop. This is for solution 2

for solution 1 : I see the option, but it's still sorted on price

I know, it is not ideal.
You could make a wanted list for a single item, and show only that wanted list
in the above overview. You can sort the overview as well, using the dropdown
selector on top.

Because one solution is to open all of them and search your Wanted Lists there.
Lot of work ahead!

Or you may let Auto-select find other stores that will become new favorites

I'm looking for a way to find stores that offer an invoice with VAT. this
is visible if you go into the store and the banner shows the VAT.

The ones in my favorites are the ones that do offer an invoice with VAT. I have
about 250+ items in my wanted and 25 stores in my favorites. but this is growing
every day.

This is my very first time trying to build an MOC from Rebrickable! I'm very
excited but because I'm new, I'm having some issues and questions. I

Hey does anyone know if it is possible to add the full contents of a wanted list
to a store inventory?

Preferably without having to edit each item in the XML file? I get this error
on every item when I try to verify the mass store inventory upload:

Lot #1 in your file shown above has the following error(s):
Quantity not entered or not numeric
Item Condition Must be New (N) or Used (U)
Price not entered or not Numeric

I have 194 lots so it would not be fun to edit each one

Thanks in advance

Brickstore will allow you do import a wanted list, edit it, then upload to your
store,

A wanted list implies that you are looking for parts in your inventory that match
what is on the wanted list. There should be a way to search your store inventory
using your wanted list on BrickLink.

There is, go to your store, click on shop, click on wanted list.

I don't know why you're trying to upload parts you want into your store
inventory, but I will point out that it is not what the Wanted list is for.

Why not? Maybe they are buying for their store.
