| A family friend is coming to the US for a trade show/convention, and staying
with us. Can I order from German stores and have parts shipped to her house
an delivered to me when she arrives here in the US?
I am just looking for parts, not sets.
Is this acceptable? Can I ask sellers to do that?
She is not an AFOL.

| I don't think these sellers know you can get the whole set for the same price.....
And for those trying to find the purple helmet and tanks, try asking a customer
service of this well known brand. I had some luck! But then don't be greedy....
 .

| Lately I've been seeing a lot of sellers with TBD instead of a shipping rate
Can I cancel an order after they send me the invoice if I think shipping is too
high? What is the correct procedure? I don't want to upset any sellers.

| I placed a few orders from LEGO.com that gave the trifecta of "gift(s) with
purchase" of the rabbit, chinese new year and houses of the world. If these
are only offered for a two week period - and they have a 60 day back order -
will I get the ones on the order or the ones during the week of shipment?

| I got a wanted list notification for some new minifigs I've been wanting.
Price was right, so I bought and paid.
Five minutes later the seller cancels the order, says the minifigs were uploaded
in error. They're the only parts the seller has added in several days.
I want to give the seller the benefit of the doubt here, but I'm suspicious.
How easy is it to accidentally log in and add three of a hot new minifig to your
store?

I placed an order yesterday on a French store.
The seller wrote to me to tell me that he is in Portugal until the end of March
and that he will therefore not be able to take care of the order before. He therefore
proposes to me either to cancel it, or to keep it despite the wait.
I tell him that I would have preferred to know before placing my order but that
nevertheless I will keep it since I need a few pieces. I also advised him to
indicate it on his shop.
Here is my message:
"Hello,
Indeed, I would have preferred to know before ordering. You should put it big
on your homepage!
I will keep my order since I need some parts.
Nicholas"
I don't think I was rude, I advised him to make an announcement about his
absence to avoid possible problems with buyers.
Here is his response:
"Good evening, the fact of having ordered does not oblige me to be at your
disposal...
Also, the exclamation mark on your answer, I don't like either.
Sorry, I'm away because my father is sick, I have to be there for him.
Frankly, no one who has purchased from my store has ever sent me a response like
yours."
I find his answer quite rude.
On the one hand, concerning his family, I cannot know. I do not blame him.
On the other hand, I advised him to at least indicate his absence on his shop
and he took the exclamation point at the end of my sentence very badly...
Then, as a seller, even if indeed he is not at my disposal, if he cannot manage
his shop during his absence, therefore if he is not currently able to satisfy
the needs of his "customers", he shouldn't keep it open.
I don't really know what to do...

Just apost to clear my mind.
I bought a set that has been cancelled by Lego. They cancelled it because of
1 stickered part and rereleased it without the part and sticker.
One seller sold it as a used set without box or instructions.
The “banned” stickered part just doesn’t look like a real sticker from Lego.
The collar looks flat and the cut is not perfect.
I was in doubt until i see the same seller selling the set again
box and instructions
It looks like he is buying the rerelease en printed the sticker himself and sell
the set 2.5 times the price.
Again i’m not 100% sure it is a scam. I definitly can’t prove it. But it isn’t
sitting right with me…
How do you look at it?

| Hey guys !
I have a problem with a seller and I dont know how to approach it.
Last year i made 1 order to this specific store - on delivery 2 of the torsos
that were in the order where cracked - not as advertised.
I sent the guy a mail but he didn't reach out to me.I left the order received
and didn't post feedback.
This year i made a new order and after some time I saw that the order I placed
was from the same store - I wrote email and asked the guy to send package via
courier that has option to check the contents of the package and if the goods
are not ok the package would be taken back to the seller.
Today I got the order and another surprise. Instead of delivery with checking
the content I had to pay double transport cause the guy asked for additional
services that I didn't request as in - the courier to go to his house and
give the money by hand not online transfer and no checking the contents.
What would you guys advise me to do in this situation ?

| I ordered about 1400 "New" parts from a seller. Parts all came re-packaged
in ziplock bags, which is normal. Each bag has a high amount of human and pet
hair of various lengths inside it. Looks like they sorted the new parts on a
dirty carpet. I'm fine with one or two hairs, but this is really gross and
not acceptable.
To gross to keep. Who is responsible to pay for return shipping? and would I
get a full refund for order/parts not as described? I don't think I should
be responsible for any part of this transaction.
Never had an issue like this before and never returned an order before...

| I have recently made a purchase ( auto checkout ) and have made payment to the
seller. The seller has come back to me asking for an additional amount for postage
and has mentioned as this is a part of their t&c's. I paid $15 for Shipping.
In their terms that do state -- FREE SHIPPING available with minimum spending
(minifigures only, for parts there is additional $25)
Yes its only $10 more however to me auto shipping being turned on indicates that
the figure is the amount the seller will charge you.
Am I missing something? If they want to do this then have auto shipping turned
off. Any feedback would be appreciated.

| Hi, I had a somewhat large order I requested a quote, the order got canceled
because some parts sold out that were in the quote. I didn't realize how
quotes worked, now I'll not use the quote feature again.
My question is, is there a way to add the parts back into my cart from the quote?
I had over 3000 parts and over 150 lots, it took a significant amount of time
to add all those parts to my cart.

| I'd like to find several pieces that already have the stickers applied. I.e.
I'm looking for the Hogwarts banners (red/green) in set 4842. I know how
to find the replacement pieces, but I'm thinking there must be pieces with
the stickers applied.
While I'm at it, how do I identify pieces I'm selling that have the stickers
already applied?

| I have placed about 30 orders. I have a current order pending and there was an
additional fee. The terms said 4.5%+.50 paypal fee...this one is pretty normal.
But then there was an additional fee they said was to cover the Bricklink tax
they were being charged...no mention of it in the terms and I have never even
heard of it. Is this normal? New? Thanks

| Hi,
This morning I received one order. There was only 1 minifigure and a few parts.
The minifigure was mentionned as "NEW". But 1 arm is cracked, the second
has a little mark and I think it won't be long before it will crack too.
And I really think the minifigure is not new but has already been used !
The seller ask me to return him the minifigure in a simple letter.
Sorry, I NEVER ship anything without tracking ! He could be able to say that
I haven't returned the minifigure !
I asked the seller to take the shipping fees in charge (1,66€) but he's now
silent...
And after looking at his Feedback, few of them are negative or neutral, with
comments like "New parts/figs are used"...
I can open a claim, or pay myself for the return (but I don't really want
to !)
All I can do in the Order Problem is to file a NSS, but the reasons included
are not exactly what happened...

| So I have had many items canceled in many orders. Usually it's a small piece
that's only a couple of cents, so I don't worry about the sales tax.
Well now I've been getting parts of orders canceled for $5-20+, but I don't
receive the sales tax back.
Why is this?
I am paying 10.25% sales tax, so on a $20 minifig that's canceled I'm
losing $2.05.

| Hello,
this is going to be a rant about the ever increasing shipping restrictions on
this site.
I am collecting mainly rare minifigures and minifigure parts and would say that
I have a positive reputation among sellers, with many positive feedbacks and
not a single negative or neutral.
Over the last 12 months or so I start to see more and more absurd shipping restrictions.
Many stores in the UK and USA have now stopped to ship to continental Europe.
This includes several stores from the UK from which I bought many times in the
past with positive and flawless experience from both sides. I understand that
customs fees have made purchases from the UK more difficult, but then let the
buyer decide if they want to take on this burden.
As if this were not enough, I start to see that more and more stores in eastern
Europe have now stopped to ship to other countries in the EU, but still ship
to the US and Japan or China of whatever far away place. What is the point of
a common EU market if you do not ship to any countries in this market.
Further to that, some stores ship to Germany or some countries in the EU, but
have an excessive minimum buy of 150 Euro for them to be so generous to ship
to my country. I am sorry I am not going to spend some extra 130 Euro so that
you grant me the favor to ship to me.
In summary, I see an epidemic of arbitrary and absurd shipping restrictions,
which makes shopping for anything but very common parts increasingly frustrating
on this site. If this continues, we are approaching a state of affairs that reminds
me more of a planning economy than a free market.
And the site really has to provide a tool that automatically excluded stores
that do not ship to your country. I simply do not want to see and waste any time
on any offer that is not an offer because of shipping restrictions, period.
The bottom line is that out of this frustration I am starting to increasingly
look around at other platforms that have less restrictions. Ultimately we vote
with our feet and our money.

| What precisely does "out of stock" mean on LEGO.com? Is this the status they
use before something is officially discontinued or is there a chance it will
still be produced in limited quantities?
I'm trying to replenish some inventory and was looking at set 75316 from
2021. Seems to new to be discontinued - but then again I've never actually
kept tabs on the product cycles and how long sets are produced.

| Dear Bricklink friends
Just a general question on when we order something from a site (2x Eiffel apartment)
was in touch with the seller that asked me to order them, which I did quite rapidity
after he answered my questions (less than 2 minutes).
The order got cancelled and he told me that the item was sold on another site,
I thought when we put something on the Bricklink site it is kind of reserved
for the Bricklink to be sold. Or am I missing something here?
Kindly share your thoughts.

| This has happened more than once now.
1. I place an order with a given store, then make my payment.
2. The seller advises me that some parts are missing, gives me a refund for said
parts, then still proceeds to fulfill the order.
This is NOT right, and as a 'community', there are some common Courtesy
Rules we need to live by. The fact that my order is not complete now forces me
to go buy parts from another store, and pay again for shipping. Every seller
MUST understand this and consult first with the buyer BEFORE fulfilling the 'reduced'
order.
Conclusion: Those 3 stores I had such 'experience' with, I will never
again buy from them.

| I'm looking for an item most of wouldn't sell, Power Functions Battery
Boxes with corroded battery connectors. 87513c01 or 87513c02.
The electronics and light bluish-gray top portion needs to be intact.
I didn't like how my Seahawks Holiday train looked last year. The height
of the battery box made the Coal Tender too tall.
I had a corroded battery box and did some modifications. It's now 1 brick
shorter and uses an external 9v Li-on rechargeable battery.
A friend has a 3-D printer and has offered to help make a replacement case so
the battery can sit inside. If it works as expected, it could help others building
Lego trains.
PM me if you have some damaged battery boxes so we can work out a price and handle
the sale properly via Bricklink.

| Hi
just wanted to ask how many else have similar problems and any tips what to do
if it happens. I bought a quite expensive set here from brick link site and i
got in few days as promised.Nicely wrapped and all the intructions and box where
in good shape but it had unfortunately parts missing ( there were plenty of extra
parts but none of them helped). I was in touch with a seller first response was
from him that i have missed them and are somewhere in the box or bags. 7 out
of ten times that can happen but not in this case i went all parts thru separated
them in to bags and douple checked everything. In sellers add it was said it
is complete set. I been in touch with seller he responded to me compensating
me with 7€ and i can look the missing parts myself. Is it my job to look those
parts ..? Money plays no role here its just what are those sellers responsobilities
on these issues. Comments tips much appreciated

So I have created a wanted list. I have found the magic button that can create
carts. But is it possible to put some criterias to that creation ? For example,
I would like to shop only in stores in my country or close to it. Is there a
way to do that or to search for such parts in stores of such country ?
Also why is an item number on this website different from the one found on the
instruction booklet ? Is there a way to show the number used by Lego in the manuals
?

I'm embarrassed to say that, because I was in a hurry, I accidentally ordered
from an EU seller with an exploitative fee (25%) added to the invoice after the
order. Two questions:
1) This fee is not stated on their Terms page. It's only mentioned in the
banner announcement and the slogan areas. Is this permissible? I thought all
fees had to be mentioned in the Terms. I checked their Terms page before ordering
and saw a "5-10 % - handling, paypal, bricklink fees additional to order," so
I anticipated a smaller fee but not a 25% fee that was only mentioned in the
banner/slogan and seems to be exclusive to non-EU customers for "VAT reasons"
even though we have no VAT.
2) The 25% fee was calculated on the shipping and tax charges as well as the
order. Is it permissible to charge a 25% fee on the shipping/tax?
My order was approximately $106 USD, but the combination of a very high shipping
cost (which I believe was deliberately overcharged as well, based on other orders
I've made from Denmark), tax, and this exploitative fee that's also charged
on shipping/tax adds almost $80 to my order cost. Do I have a valid case for
cancellation based on either the contradictory statements around the fee, the
fee being "hidden" in the banner/slogan, the fee only being charged to non-EU
customers, or the fee being calculated on the tax? Can I report this seller for
avoidance of Bricklink fees?

| A few years ago I bought a large box of light grey / LBG unsorted.
The seller didn’t want to spend the time sorting one from the other, we all know
that’s not always easy especially with faded bricks mixed in.
Looking for anyone else who hasn’t sorted these and want’s to unload them, if
so, I’m interested.
I’ve plenty of time on my hands at present and need something to distract me
from feeling sorry for myself. .
