Seem rather high, for a part like that.

Nita Rae

My analysis:

It's a useful part in small quantities, particularly for the nose of spaceships
or the front of cars. Blue is used for both Classic Space and Ice Planet color
schemes, and a quick scan shows a few minorly popular MOCs on Rebrickable that
use 43719 in blue for those purposes. Before last year, the part had been retired
in Blue for 15 years and never came in a set in a greater quantity than one.
Given that those sets were released in Lego's own darker ages, it's not
surprising at all to me that a new part from that era in a popular color that
was retired for 15 years would hit $1.50 to $2.00 new. Since it's only at
$0.11 and a 25% selling rate used, it's not extremely popular or in demand,
but definitely useful and wanted.

Say printed slopes together, stickered glass together, and the like? Let me know

Yes, I would be interested.

  Hi Bricklinkers,

the figure lom003, named ALTAIR, from the Life on Mars series was released in
set 7311 in 2001.

Owning over 5000 aliens and consequently also many lime ones I realized that
there are two different lime versions, the normal and a lighter one.

I am not sure if the different shades of lime were an production accident or
LEGO changed the color during the production...

I'm going to have another try, and using educated guesswork.

When you see a part, or in this case minifig, vary in color, it is most likely
due to the batch of ABS pellets being used. I doubt it was a deliberate decision,
and more likely a compromise. At that point in time (a 2001 set, with production
probably during 2000) TLG was using ABS pellets which came with the pigments
applied at the supplier. The system they use today, allows them to tweak the
pigments if needed. back in 2000, they would have to set an anomalous batch of
pellets aside, or send them back, and order more, or decide to use them (because
they were 'close enough' ).

Another set that had a color problem was 8009-1. According to my records, I parted
out 30 copies during the spring of 2003. The trans dark blue parts were (color-wise)
all over the map. They were very inconsistent. Some were translucent, and some
were transparent. But they shipped them to retail like that. Either QA was asleep
on the job, or they considered it insufficient to hold up release. It did not
change the play-value of the set, and was only apparent when there were sufficient
copies to compare. That may be the same value judgement with the LoM minifigs
(close enough, and almost no one will ever catch it).

What this suggests, is that no matter how much we (the AFOL community) want the
part color to have absolute consistency, it doesn't always happen. There
will be unique situations when part colors vary between multiple copies of the
same set. The average consumer will likely never see it.

This subject touches the endless debate about PLG and MS (using acronyms to avoid
triggers). People (on BL) swear that TLG shipped both variants in the same set,
but TLG only showed one 7-digit element number for that part.

Beyond that, and a few years after the LoM parts, TLG made a conscious decision
(and based on focus groups we were told at that time) to subtly change the grays
to bleys and brown to red-brown. In the AFOL community, it caused a massive uproar
(and likely because certain AFOLs were miffed that their investment in parts
based on the older shades was being deflated). TLG was very surprised at the
backlash, and tried to make amends, but did not back away from their decision
to change those colors. I do not believe the LoM minifigs were a deliberate change
of color, but am open to someone who worked inside TLG back 20 years ago, and
might have previously unknown information, to share it with us.

The subject you bring up is important, because it helps us to better focus on
'absolute colors' vs the reality of what happens in a production environment
when hard choices have to be made with little time to deal with them, and the
real costs of chasing 'absolute color consistency'.

Nita Rae

Really interesting post, and very informative. Thank you!

Welcome to the club. Buyer can do whatever they want. Our last Neutral feedback
reads "Order came in a timely manner, good selection, fair prices."

Heads up that you can change that one by contacting the buyer. I looked at your
most recent neutral, and the same buyer left me a neutral with positive comments
around the same time. I sent them a message politely informing them that neutral
is considered criticism, and asked if I could've done anything better and,
if not, could they please change to positive? They changed it the next day. I
recommended doing the same for their other feedback, but it looks like they didn't
care that much.

I am interested in hearing from Sellers, what is your favorite part of being
in the Lego business? Is it finding a great bulk buy? Sorting? Cataloging, pulling
orders or shipping the goods out the door?

I'm one of those 24/7 music nerds. I rarely do anything without music on,
and running a Lego store gives me endless time to listen. I'd say that's
my favorite part of selling -- browsing eBay with the blues, singing along
to classic rock and '80s pop as I sort a bulk lot, letting classical and
jazz soothe me as I count and catalogue, pulling orders to power metal and EDM,
driving to the post office to drop off orders with the wind in my hair and boomers
giving me judge-y stares because I'm blasting Kendrick Lamar and Lizzo. With
most other jobs, I couldn't play my music constantly, especially not at the
volume I prefer.

Music aside, there's no substitute for the constant dopamine hits while going
through a new bulk lot. It's like an endless loot box.

The torso and hips do have the Lego stamp so Im wanting to know opinions here

The lack of Lego logo is NOT a good measure of whether or not a piece is genuine,
unless you're talking about solid studs (on top of bricks, plates, etc).

The only pieces in that figure that should have a logo are the hips and the torso
(on top of the neck peg). No blocked-open stud heads have a logo. No headgear
from that period, including the Boba Fett/Jango Fett helmet, has a logo (it should
have a circled number like 1, 2, or 3 inside -- mine has a circled 2).
No legs from that period have a logo. The only piece that you mentioned that
should is the hips, right between the pegs for the torso. If that's missing,
then perhaps it might be fake.

Honestly, the best test is the eye test. Does the plastic look like Lego plastic?
Is the printing clean and does it pretty closely match the pictures for the parts
on Bricklink? You should post some pictures, because that's the only way
you'll get a precise assessment from the community.

Lego had QC problems with Reddish Brown and Dark Brown in the late '00s and
early '10s, and a lot of parts from that era -- specifically bricks and
plates and tiles, it seems -- were brittle. It is a common defect. Lego might
be willing to replace the parts for free through Bricks & Pieces, at least the
ones they have in stock, if you try.

US customers or EU customers? Using tracking here is not that common, especially
for low valued items. Delivery confirmation is more common but that is not tracking.
It doesn't help the buyer much, as it doesn't update until after the
package has been delivered. I never bother giving tracing (no k) numbers to buyers
when I use delivery confirmed items.

If US customers rely on tracking to know when a package will be delivered or
when to collect from a PO box, then it is understandable if they are used to
expecting it on every package. Whereas if you are not used to using it, it doesn't
matter too much. It is not that big a deal to people that don't expect it.
Especially if the 'free' service ends up costing more.

I'm not sure why you're taking this position, beyond a possible rise
in prices? Which I doubt would be necessary -- I've seen domestic EU
shipping costs, and they're comparable to domestic USPS First Class costs.

It's the obvious consumer-focused choice. There is no downside to consumers,
only to public/private postal services and their budgets. And it's not just
about a buyer looking up tracking. It gives peace of mind, and it's a way
to hold both buyers and sellers accountable through an independent service. I
never have to worry about buyers lying about package arrival, because even if
PayPal decides to give the buyer a refund, as a seller I'll still get compensated
by PayPal through Seller Protection as long as tracking shows it was delivered.
Yes, your delivery confirmation service would serve the same function... but
everything is scanned. I didn't mean all mail. I meant us, our phones, our
faces, our driving habits, our internet habits, virtually everything. And it's
only going to increase in the future. At some point in the future, all mail worldwide
will certainly be scanned. That's the future of everything. So why not now?

As a U.S. buyer and seller, I assure you, tracking services are useful, practical,
and very appreciated by consumers. Not because it's an expectation, but because
it just. makes. sense.

Why would the EU need to force paid for (but labelled as free) tracking on every
parcel when many customers do not care about tracking a parcel en route?

It's 2021. Everything is already scanned, at least for internal purposes.
Why wouldn't they, if they were actually consumer-focused?

And many customers do care. I can't pull a percentage out of my pocket, but
it's certainly a significant number judging by the amount of questions I've
gotten around tracking from my last few hundred orders even AFTER adding the
tracking number to the order page and emailing it to them.

If this is happening on 40% of your orders, why do you leave negative/neutral
feedback for so few of these bad orders?

I've been asked this a few times as well, and I don't think the question
is fair, as it's not generally asked in good faith and borders on a capitalist
form of victim-blaming. Anyone who's participated in e-commerce knows exactly
why buyers don't leave neutral/negative feedback -- primarily fear of
retaliatory feedback. That's why eBay stopped allowing sellers to leave feedback
at all.

And no, the arguments against this -- "no one looks at your feedback as a
buyer," or "one or two aren't going to hurt you," or "you should leave feedback
anyway to inform others of your experience so the same thing doesn't happen
to them" -- don't resonate with most people and aren't particularly
good arguments anyway. Buyers don't balk at leaving neutrals/negatives because
of their logic brain. They do it because of their emotional brain. It can be
hugely difficult for the average person, much less someone with an anxiety disorder
or depression, to deal with negative feedback of any type from a stranger (hence
why road rage exists), especially negative feedback that isn't deserved and
is merely retaliatory. I deal with negative feedback better than many people
I've known, and it's still ruined my day and been something I dwelt upon
for weeks when it happened. And just because a person doesn't experience
strong emotions in response to even the suggestion of receiving negative feedback
doesn't mean they should discount how much it affects others.

And that's completely ignoring how everybody makes mistakes. The standard
isn't whether or not you make a mistake, it's how well you fix your mistakes.
I'm thankful that we don't live in a society where people are punished
for every little mistake, especially when they do their best to apologize and
fix them. When a seller does that for me, I'm not going to punish them. I'm
going to praise them for taking responsibility.

I've probably placed 60+ orders over the last few months. I can say without
exaggeration that on at least 40% of those orders, there was no tracking number
provided. It's annoying enough when a seller can't be bothered to put
it where it belongs on the order form for the customer, but when I then go to
Paypal looking for one, and it isn't there, a simple annoyance becomes an
aggravation. Not providing tracking for customers shows an indifference to the
needs of the customer. That, and it's just plain lazy. There's also the
matter of sellers not bothering to check the merchandise for accuracy before
shipping. Twice in the last month I've had to deal with Batman figures, ordered
for a specific cape type, arriving with the wrong capes. Again, this is lazy.
Any kind of business that sells something has even the most basic quality control
practices in place. One can certainly tell the difference between pro sellers
who take what they do seriously, and the fly-by-night pop-up stores that are
just here to get the most bang for their bricks while they unload their unwanted
Lego. These lackluster sellers are contributing to an overall downturn, IMO,
in what should be a pleasurable buying experience, and frankly, I don't believe
the platform should continue to offer them the privilege, if they continue to
make customers unhappy. Go to Craig's List, place an ad in the paper, have
a rummage sale - whatever. Just take your bricks, your laziness, and your ineptitude
elsewhere.

I hear you. As a buyer, I was frequently frustrated by these issues too. Some
U.S. sellers wouldn't send tracking even when asked for it (and the EU really
needs to catch up with the U.S. -- for once -- by regulating and requiring
free tracking on all packages sent by public postal service). And then there
were the mistakes -- my overall error rate was 33% to 40% on orders with
at least one error in listing/packing, and well over 50% if I count orders with
at least one damaged piece but no incorrect pieces as part of the error rate.

That's why I run my store the way I do. I try to do the things I wanted as
a buyer on my 750+ orders. Tracking is uploaded to the order page AND included
in the Drive-Thru email for every single order. Turnaround time on shipping is
1-2 business days max, regardless of how busy I am. Orders are dropped off at
the post office rather than a dropbox, which often saves an entire day of shipping
time. Parts are bagged neatly and labeled if necessary. And most importantly,
I have a robust QA system that triple-checks every single order for accuracy
and quality. With hundreds of thousands of parts sold through various platforms,
I've never had a reliable report of a missing or incorrect part in an order
(though I admit that I have missed minor damage a handful of times). As a seller,
I hold myself to a very high standard, and I struggle to understand how other
people's standards for themselves are so low.

I have one of the largest used-parts inventories in the country, so feel free
to try out my store if you'd like. You'll get great service and great
parts, just like it says.

Yeah, it's genuine Lego, sure as I can be without seeing it in person. I
have a few parts from my original '70s and '80s sets that have similar
studs, and there are those cool old Samsonite parts from the '70s, often
1x6 and 1x8 bricks, that have mixed studs. Along with varied orientations and
fonts, they often have varied amounts of depression of the stud just like the
pictured parts. Most aren't as deep as the pictured ones, but I've seen
a few that are.

I have never seen this color or style. It has 4 lines of ribs on the back side.
It is a very light yellow color. I don't believe it is a "discolored white"
as it is very uniform and not the ugly off white color of discolored old lego.

It is a discolored white plate produced in the 1970's into the 1980's.
I am not sure exactly when Lego eliminated the raised ribs on the bottom of plates.

From buying old sets, I'm guessing they were phased out in the early '90s
over the course of a couple of years as stock was used up. I haven't been
able to determine anything more precise than that, but I haven't found any
in sets after 1995 or so.

out of ideas how to search for it in the catalog. Do you know which part it is?

It's this torso, but with the wrong hands:

Part No: 973p66c01 Name: Torso Space Spyrius Pattern / Black Arms / Red Hands
*
973p66c01 (Inv) Torso Space Spyrius Pattern / Black Arms / Red Hands
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor. {Blue}

1) The nostalgia value of the Forestmen sets, which are probably the most beloved
of all of the Castle subthemes.

2) Easily the set with the most interesting and varied minifigs of the Designer
sets.

3) No Castle line is currently out, and the Creator 3-in-1 castle is underwhelming.
This is a cleaner design than any official castle I've seen, along the lines
of the Ideas Blacksmith Shop but looking more like real life.

4) I disagree about the design -- I think it's gorgeous and unique, with
lots of details but without clashing colors or design elements (as opposed to
the 3-in-1, as the graphic designers and fashionistas I know agreed that the
design and color scheme were appalling at best).

5) The 360-degree design is very appealing, and there haven't been enough
Castle-style sets that don't rely on facades. Even Lowenstein needed the
unofficial expansion to be 360 degrees.

6) The set is inspired by 3 of the original Forestmen sets, and it feels kind
of iconic because of that.

7) Scalpers buying copies to resell after what happened with the prices for Lowenstein.

Neither was I! But then my partner showed me that you can set your own working
combination for it, and I understood why people like it. What's most surprising
to me is that the Bionicle set probably won't be made.

Few sellers would bother doing this for 2 cent parts. I've been in the same
situation as the OP and what I did instead was order 3 - 4 times what I needed
and then sorted the color variations myself. I've always been able to match
up enough to complete the set. You have the lighter and the darker versions,
so it's a 50-50 shot with each one you order.

I had to do the same thing for years, ordering 3x or 4x the amount I needed from
a couple different sellers so I'd get the shades I needed. But earlier this
year, I needed the specific 2001-2009 shade of Dark Red to Bricklink a copy of
10182 Cafe Corner, and I decided it'd be better to specifically request it
from sellers. Most were happy to help and found the shades I needed, but ironically,
the most expensive and longest-tenured seller I ordered from put in the least
effort and sent almost all incorrect shades.

So that's why my large store, which launches in 2 weeks, will fulfill any
requests for specific color shades or unlisted mold differences, wherever possible.
Free of upcharge, of course. And many of those different shades are already separated
for convenience.

lighter than the transparent orange parts in some of my other sets (including
31008: Thunder Wings and 4200: Mining 4x4). I am struggling to figure out what
that lighter color of orange is actually called since both Brickset and BrickLink
label it as the same color as the orange parts in the other sets. Any assistance
would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I know it's not sun damage since I have extra parts in both colors.
I can upload a comparison photo if that helps.

My store is still 2 weeks from launch -- July 5 is the target date --
but I do separate between the shades of Trans-Orange (as well as the differing
shades of Dark Red, Trans-Neon Orange, Blue, and other colors) in many of my
listings. And for the ones that I don't separate, I'm always willing
to fulfill requests for specific shades. I know exactly the type of Trans-Orange
you're talking about and would be happy to help. If you don't want to
wait 2 weeks, feel free to send me a private message and I can move just the
parts you need from my stockroom to the live store so you can order them.

Just spontaneous thoughts when creating your account, or were there personal
significance to any of the three bits of proffered self-identification?

No matter how trivial you might think it, others often find such things vicariously
enjoyable. Even if your post seems inconsequential to you, it's often not
to others and can be a fun distraction for both author and readers alike.

Some of the best reads here over the years for me, have been the more personable
anecdotes. I’d like to read yours. That is if you're bold enough to share?

-popsicle

Love cats. Love portmanteaus. It occurred to me spontaneously while trying to
think of a name on the spot, and I loved it, especially the three different primary
pronunciations -- BRICK-it-y, bri-KITT-y, and BRICK KITTY. (I love all three
but generally lean towards the first, like the word "rickety".) Checked it out
and no one had taken it. My partner designed the logo in Photoshop, but awhile
ago a generous and talented user on BL built the cat with real bricks, took a
picture for me, and gave me free use of it, so that logo will be going up in
the next few weeks.

Also, "kitty" is my principle pet name with my partner, going both ways. So there's
some special significance there. It's one of the most positive words in our
lives.

From one plastic cat to another: get more stock. There are official individual
Lego sets with more parts than your entire store. Minifigs sell best, and you
only have 2 figs. You need to make a much larger initial investment and be prepared
to stay in the red for awhile as you build up your stock. As a buyer with hundreds
and hundreds of orders, I've virtually never bought from a store with fewer
than 25,000 parts, because I can always find all those same parts plus more at
a bigger store.

Thanks, Stan.

As a buyer, I've bought thousands of instruction books to complete sets for
my personal collection and sets to sell. I'm a completist and want the instruction
book for ever set I own, small or large, common or rare. I've paid $0.001
for a book, and I've paid $150 for a book. So they do sell! But they won't
sell nearly as well until a few years after the set has retired.

I would only advise it when someone has a quite some non positive feedback.
The most important reason why not do do it all the time is it takes a lot of
time.
In fact you need to take pictures from several angles, if not you might have
‘missed’ a spot, so also underneath a minifigure arm etc.
I think Paypal wouldn’t take much notice of your pictures, it is only the way
you send them, not how they might have been delivered.
So think well about it, it might help you in rare cases but is it worth all the
time?

Not so sure I agree. First, it doesn't take much time if you plan it into
your packing routine. Second, I have very little experience with complaints on
BL, but I encountered scammers like this all the time on the auction site. Simply
telling them that I had pre-shipping pictures that showed they were wrong was
enough to drive 90% of them away. In the few situations where they asked to see
the pictures, I could generally assume that they were genuine complaints (usually
due to buyer error) and send a small refund to be generous, or at least an apology.
I've only had to use pictures in a PayPal dispute twice, I think, and I won
both disputes. Not sure if that's because of the pictures.

There's a store in the USA that is selling many uncommon/rare minifigs as
new, though advertising that they have been in a display case.

Is this now considered acceptable use for new minifigs?

I think this is risky, as it is not too far off from how I "use" Lego sets.
Most of my personal Lego is assembled once and displayed only. Even my own minifigs
are typically bagged and set aside in plastic drawers.

The official BL definition seems to be that new parts have been "handled only
for sorting," but the general definition is that a part is used once it's
been connected to another part. The Help Page does make an exception for assembled
minifigs to be listed as new, but only the figs themselves, not accessories
or display stands. Therefore, if any of the display figs from this seller were
connected via their feet to another piece, like part 88646, or if any accessories
were placed into their hands, then the figures aren't new. I would also venture
that they're used if they've ever been cleaned, even with compressed
air, or collected dust at all. And finally, what about sunlight? If they've
been exposed to direct sunlight for any amount of time, they probably shouldn't
be considered new, even if they were inside a display case.

But what about when the figs are set on a flat surface inside a dust-free display
case in a basement and have never held an accessory? Seems like a gray area.
Personally, I'd vote that they're used if they've been on display
for any length of time, but then again, I think figs should be considered used
if they're connected in any way that they didn't come in the original
packaging. But sadly, I don't get to define these things.

I have a customer that left us neutral feedback because we are out of one part
(which we credited him back in full). Is this something that is normal? I
know this is a very common issue, but never knew people could have it count against
stores.

As a buyer, no, I wouldn't leave a neutral/negative if a seller had an inventory
error or two. However, if they mailed the package before notifying me, or if
they didn't notify me at all, I would probably Least Favorite them and leave
no feedback whatsoever. And if I sent a message complaining and their response
was rude or unapologetic, they'd probably get a neutral/negative. An inventory
error is completely understandable, but it's no excuse for bad customer service.

Other people in this thread have mentioned refunding partial or complete shipping
costs, but I only expect that as a solution if I've already received the
order and the seller can't send a replacement. If I'm notified before
the package is mailed, why would I expect shipping costs to be refunded? In that
case, I have the option to cancel the order and buy elsewhere.

Now, THAT BEING SAID, I have higher personal standards as a seller. If I make
an inventory error, I pull the part from my enormous personal collection and
buy myself a replacement at a later date. I've done that a few times. If
I don't have another copy in the house, I buy a replacement for the buyer
from another seller. Every single time. I wish all sellers had this standard,
but I try not to judge them if they don't. It just kills my soul a tiny bit
each time.

ahead and expound on what credentials you possess that give you standing to critique
my methods. You come in here with a single anecdote about how a seller wronged
you and apparently you seem to want to take it out on me? That's a lot of
nerve, my friend.

Yes, I must be a very poor seller indeed. Look at my terrible record. Why don't
you get back to me after you've packed a couple thousand orders, many with
lot counts numbering in the hundreds. No serious seller has the time to read
a description for every part, especially since, historically, images were more
than sufficient. I never had color mistakes until the new renders surfaced.

I apologize. Your original message didn't state that you only look at a picture
and don't read the description, and nothing I said was intended to be pointed
at you. I thought I was sympathizing with you. But I was distracted when I was
replying to the post, and I misjudged your comment and the situation in general.
The only point I was trying to make was that I strongly believe in double-checking
orders before sending them out, and relying solely on a picture leaves more room
for error. I do actually have a lot more experience in this area than my BL feedback
shows, in the hundreds of thousands of parts both as a buyer and a seller, with
a near-perfect track record as a seller because I double- or triple-check
everything. I like to emphasize how important I think that is. But right then
I was speaking from recent frustration as a buyer, and I didn't think of
how my words would come across. My phrasing was -- well, poor -- and
I didn't mean to insult you or anyone else.

In my opinion, if you're depending on a tiny picture rather than a clear
description to identify the part you're packing, you're already a poor
seller. Maybe that explains why so many parts I order arrive in a slightly different
color. I had a horrible seller send me a cheap Red piece instead of a rare and
valuable Dark Red piece back in February, and then insist he had packed the correct
one and that I was lying despite sending him pictures and having the part sitting
right in front of me.

For regular dirt and mud and dust, or for parts smelling of smoke, I soak in
soapy water for a day or two, then soak in water and white vinegar (10:1 or so)
for a day or two, then dry spread out on a towel for a few days. The vinegar
prevents water spots when drying and takes smells off of anything except tires.
A laundry bag is very useful for soaking.

If it has sharpie, paint, pen, sticky dust, or other hard-to-clean items, you
may need to clean parts individually. In that case, a microfiber cloth, some
91% rubbing alcohol, and a little elbow grease will take care of almost anything
except superglue.

He sent this pic, claiming the ones on the right are trans orange. I read somewhere
that trans neon orange has changed over the years. Is this just a case of old
vs new trans neon orange?

I also included a pic of the three shades of orange I have in the round brick.
Is it old TNO, new TNO and TO?

You are correct, and the buyer is wrong. Everything in the first pic is Trans-Neon
Orange. The parts on the left are the older shade, which glows more under a blacklight
and was used until around 2006-2008, from what I've been able to pin down
from collecting various sets. The parts on the right are the newer shade of Trans-Neon
Orange that has been used since. In the second pic, the parts on the far right
are indeed Trans-Orange.

If the buyer doubts you, tell them they can check the parts under a blacklight
and see that they fluoresce, because they do.

Hello, could somebody please change the 98835pb022 part to be listed under counterparts
in set 41288 (Mojo Jojo Strikes)? Thanks!

You can actually do it yourself pretty easily! It took me a few minutes to work
through each step the first time, but by the third time it was really easy and
quick.

Here's the link to the help page for making an Inventory Change Request:
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=215

And here's the link to make one: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvChange.asp

You'll want to enter the set number (41288-1, don't forget the -1), then
put 1 under Number of Entries. On the next page, you'll want to choose Add,
ignore the Inv Item ID field, put the part number under Item No, find the correct
Color ID on this page (https://www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp), enter the
quantity into the Qty field, choose Counterpart under the dropdown menu for Type,
and ignore the Match ID field. Then you're done and you can verify the changes!

I get an error saying that the piece is not in the catalog, but if you search
the part ID ( 98835pb022) it pulls up. Am I doing something wrong?

Huh. I see it in the catalog as well. I've never encountered that error before.
Perhaps, looking at the way you copy-pasted it in your message, you accidentally
put an extra space before the start of the part number and that caused the error?
The only way for me to check was to submit the Inventory Change Request myself,
so I did that, and it went through, so no need for you to submit it now. Thanks
for trying, though! Next time I hope it'll work better.

Actually, after trying again, I would say they don't fluoresce like regular
Trans-Neon Orange parts, but they do react differently to the light (even though
it may look the same on the image).

Thanks for the pic! That's really interesting.
