Where do you get them and at what price?

I look for the ones that are "Used" on Amazon - typically just the box

If I use Priority Mail I typically use my own boxes with the commercial Priority
Mail Cubic rates through Pirate Ship. Sometimes UPS Ground (also through Pirate
Ship) turns out to be cheaper and I use that instead. Flat rate isn't worth
it in most cases unless you're sending something heavy (and Lego are not
heavy).

Do you ever bother with FedEx or is it just UPS that is sometimes cheaper?

UPS is sometimes cheaper than USPS Priority Mail. I don't bother with FedEx
as I don't have a way of accessing commercial rates from them. The retail
UPS rate would never be cheaper.

Thanks! They should seriously consider changing that, as I'm sure the majority
of used sets no longer have their instructions and even more so without their
box. It forces sellers with complete sets to mix their listings in with the incomplete
ones.

The rules for used sets are different

The minifigure, Twitch has 2 antenna on his head, but the manual shows this rare

What do you think? I thought it was a bit odd.

Same error in the online instructions

I understand the 3626 numbering as far as tha first letter a/b/c but what dictates
the next 1/2 letters.

"pb" is, I think, "printed brick" or "patterned brick"

The first letter (a, b, or c) refers to the type of head

a = solid stud
b = blocked open stud
c = hollow stud

So a hollow stud printed head would be 3626cpbxxxx, e.g.

Part No: 3626cpb1700 Name: Minifigure, Head Alien with Black Eyebrow, Dark Azure Mechanical Left Eye, Silver Head Plate, Medium Nougat Chin Dimple, Frown Pattern - Hollow Stud
*
3626cpb1700 Minifigure, Head Alien with Black Eyebrow, Dark Azure Mechanical Left Eye, Silver Head Plate, Medium Nougat Chin Dimple, Frown Pattern - Hollow Stud
Parts: Minifigure, Head {Yellow}

"vented stud" heads are under a different part number entirely:

[P=28621]

my sets. I have 47 sets - some are complete, some have pieces missing. I have

I'm in Minnesota.

Anyone interested?

Thanks

You need a seller's account to sell on here and it takes time to get verified.
You'd probably be better served by listing them on FB marketplace

I’ve been very polite and asked if the items could be replaced, leaving it to

I now find my self stoplisted by someone, seriously !

I’ll not lose sleep over it but I do wonder what their reaction would have been
if I’d just posted negative feedback, I’ve already posted positive feedback for
a couple of these stores as the odd mistake is not the end of the world.

Now to check if they’ve posted negative feedback too.

Sometimes I get the impression that there are sellers who think they're doing
buyers a favor allowing them to order from their stores.

they often are but whether thru stripe or Paypal it's always a $20 or so
fee as a slap in the face basically

And Stripe recently changed their terms so that you get dinged for the $15 even
if you win (because they get charged by the bank regardless)

As I am sitting here building 10316-1, I suddenly wondered why Elrond put Bilbo
up. I know Bilbo helped Thorin, but did he help Elrond? Will Elrond put up
anyone who will follow the rules?

Because Elrond (and Gandalf) knew Sauron had captured Gollum and tried to (and
continued to) use him to get to the Ring. They knew Bilbo was likely next and
so him being in Rivendell both protected him but also protected any information
he knew about the Ring.

So he was a prisoner and didn't know it or didn't own it.

In a way yes - when Bilbo first sees Frodo again in Rivendell after *checks notes*
18 years or so, he mentions that he thought of going back for the Ring but that
Gandalf and Elrond wouldn't let him:

"I hear all kinds of news, from over the Mountains, and out of the South,
but hardly anything from the Shire. I heard about the Ring, of course. Gandalf
has been here often. Not that he has told me a great deal, he has become closer
than ever these last few years. The Dunadan has told me more. Fancy that ring
of mine causing such a disturbance! It is a pity that Gandalf did not find out
more sooner. I could have brought the thing here myself long ago without so much
trouble. I have thought several times of going back to Hobbiton for it; but I
am getting old, and they would not let me: Gandalf and Elrond, I mean. They seemed
to think that the Enemy was looking high and low for me, and would make mincemeat
of me, if he caught me tottering about in the Wild."

That’s what NET weight would mean

AFAIK, you will have to sum all the individual weights.
Maybe BrickStore can do it for you.

Problem: the same part can have different weights IRL, depending on colour (transparent
parts in PC are heavier) or depending on the variant.

If not, every set has normally its weight indicated.

Note that this one can vary too IRL: some sets have leaflets / catalogues or
different versions of the instructions (different language for instance).

You could make an educated guess by taking the weight of the set and subtracting
the weights of the box and instructions.

e.g.

Set No: 10497 Name: Galaxy Explorer
*
10497-1 (Inv) Galaxy Explorer
1219 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 2022
Sets: Space: Classic Space

The weight of the set, in box, is 1758g; the weight of the instructions is 290g;
and the weight of the box is 264g. So the parts plus bags (which are *very* light)
should weigh about 1204g (approximately 2 lbs 10 oz). Of course BL doesn't
have weights for every box and instruction booklet.

As long as your customers paid onsite the sales taxes were collected by BrickLink

When I file my quarterly sales and use taxes return in my state I list all of

I'm sure it was at Gandalf's request, otherwise Bilbo could have been

How is this store still being allowed to sell on BL?

I guess not enough of the people leaving negative feedback are starting NSSs?

Anyway, I agree with Nubs - start an NSS and file a PayPal claim (if you paid

Both are in the catalogue in Brown and Reddish Brown, though neither the brown
one with reddish brown arms, nor the reddish brown one with brown arms, actually
exist in sets (obviously). I suspect they should be consolidated?
Cheers,
Patrick

The first torso was only released in reddish brown, the second torso only in
brown. Since they have different arm colors (reddish brown/brown), the different
entries are correct. and will not be changed or merged in any way.

It may be just me an my monitor, but the pictures look like they could use some
color correction. The brown version looks reddish brown to me.

anything that Minas Tirith would be one of them, or at least a section of
it like the Uruk-hai Army set has a section of Helm's Deep. In my eyes, the
Battle of Pelennor Fields is a no-brainer set: it could have a part of the Minas
Tirith wall, Eowyn, the Witch King, the orc general Gothmog, a Fellbeast, and
maybe even a Mumakil and the Haradrim, none of which have yet to be produced
by Lego. It might be the biggest missing piece in the Lego LOTR lineup, it's
like the whole design and marketing teams skipped that part of the movie

I would do the gates of Minas Tirith with Grond, minifigures would be Gandalf
upon Shadowfax and the Witch-king plus assorted orcs and trolls.

Thank You,

If it's completed the buyer can still leave negative feedback while you won't
be able to leave feedback in response. It also counts as one of three NRS/NSS
strikes that will close the store. Again, if it's completed.

So you might want to take steps to address it now before it's completed.

He's not named in the movie credits, I think, because his role is not a speaking

in the film, played by the same actor who played Gimli, is supposed to be Gloin

This. Florida's state sales tax is 6%, but there are also local taxes. If

I just checked a recent order I got from Florida and it was taxed at 7.5%. I

*other designers smiling* "I've been told to say that this Dwarf that

My guess is that they were allowed to have another Dwarf but not call him Gloin,
and so designed him to look just as one would expect Gloin to look.

Forty to 50%? That seems very high, I hardly ever see figures with accessories

How would that possibly be enforced?

Also the people selling the parts have to buy the set in the first place!

the standard parts has been uploaded some 10 days ago, but not a single one of
the new parts has been included. I wonder if there is a political order by TLG

All inventories are done by volunteers - I see that this one is already pending
approval so someone is working on it. In fact you can see that it's progressed
pretty far already and is in good hands:

No need for any conspiracy theories about TLG or or the BL admins.

I am finding t5hat if I get a price on UPS that when I go to paypal and ship

use the quote from the USPS or UPS site?

I would not quote a retail rate (which is what you will find if you go to USPS
or UPS) if you can buy the postage at a commercial rate - take the commercial
rate and add a small amount for handling (say, $0.50 to $1.00). Your customers
will appreciate your inexpensive shipping.

However I do find some small stressmarks/scratches/cracks under the arms of 2

Can anyone please tell me if this are cracks or not, I really have no clue.
If you need more pictures, for example in dark with a flashligt, let me know.

and it was later revealed he stepped on a Lego brick and ceased to exist

Nubs_Select believed his years of collecting Lego had toughened his feet to the
point at which he could step on a 2x4 brick and feel no pain. And so when he
came downstairs and saw a silver 2x4 brick on the floor, he went to step on it
even though his feet were bare. "I have the hardened feet of a karate champion,"
he said to himself; but upon reflection he decided to pick up the silver brick
instead and stow it carefully away, lest he damage the delicate piece with one
of his many thick calluses.

Later that same day, he resolved that, should he find another Lego brick on the
floor, he would indeed test the strength of his bare foot against it. And so
when he saw the strange, dull black brick on the floor - it's probably not
even Lego, he thought - if it gets broken I will just throw it away and it won't
be any loss! when he saw it, he pulled the fluffy sock from his right foot and
stepped on the brick. Unfortunately, the brick was an experiment by Lego in a
new material - antimatter ABS - and when his foot came down upon the brick and
he put all his wait upon it, the magnetic containment field that allowed the
brick to be handled safely shattered, and both Nubs_Select and the brick disappeared
in a cloud of particles, never to be seen again.

Simple: I bought myself these chineese knock off, and was not happy with the
quality.
This is why i am now buying exclusively original parts.
I keep these chineese knock off in a box as to not mix them with original Lego
parts.

These chineese parts have a slightly different mechanical design and it is easy
to spot a knock off from an original.

Yes, typically the studs won't have the Lego logo on them - is that the case?

The page I get states “The page cannot be displayed because an internal server

I already shipped items to buyer. Sent Paypal invoice. Paid fees. Buyer paid

There is no option to choose "shipped" only "ready", "packed","processing",
"pending"....so status can't get to completed.

Has it been a while since you've sold on BrickLink? Things have changed a
bit starting in 2020. BrickLink collects sales tax (and VAT in the EU) now, so
if the buyer orders from a place where BL collects tax, payment has to be made
on-site (and the invoice should be sent from BL).

If you collected sales tax on the order, at the very least you should refund
that to the buyer since you have no way of remitting it (unless you and the buyer
happen to be in the same state and you're registered with the state).

The buyer pays the sales tax (USA) or VAT (EU). PayPal charges a small fee for
processing the sales tax/VAT payment (so, I assume, does Stripe) and that will
come out of your funds. But just the processing fee - the tax that the buyer
pays in will also come out.

No it shouldn't add automatically as the buyer might want to keep the coupon

That makes sense. At what stage in the order process does the buyer see that

It is not very prominent at all, to be honest.

We are currently offering 15% off all minifigures and 30% off everything else.

Domestically, we offer flat shipping of $5.25 and free shipping for orders $35 or more. Additionally any order of $50 or more will receive a free minifigure, valued under $2, our choice, while supplies last.

On a personal note we're trying to help fund a very important trip that we've been wanting to take for a while, and were supposed to take in 2020 before international travel was shut down.

Thanks for having a look, and we hope to serve you soon.

So , you mean you find normal to order and than to fill an OCR if you find postage
costs are too high ?

Yes, that is totally normal:
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=79
"Seller provided a shipping fee that was too high (not clearly stated in T&C)"

But I will spend my time to cancel orders ...

You're not really getting so many orders that you would spend a lot of time
on this. It probably wouldn't take any more time than putting a quote together
(which won't necessarily turn into an order).

Higher than expected shipping cost is a valid reason to cancel an order. You
don't have to allow the cancellation but I think most sellers on BL would.
Given that, I think the message you sent to the buyer was unnecessary, as was
the retaliatory negative feedback you left.

  Hi everyone .
I received an order .
Buyer asked no quote before (no mail , quote request is impossible ).
I answered him about costs .
No mail again and as answer , he filled an OCR .
Obviously I hate this way of doing things .
I cancelled the order .

Than I mail him : "Next time send a mail to request a quote .Oh but there
won't be any next time here !!!!"

Still no answer but ... he gave me a negative feedback .

Is it normal ? possile ?

Can I cancel this feedback ?

There was no transaction . No payment .

Thanks for your answers .

You could try tracking the packages on usps.com to see

No need to since VAT wasn't paid by the buyer - just fill out the customs
form as normal and the buyer will pay the customs fees and/or VAT on delivery
or pickup.

  Hi,
I'm in the US and rarely sell internationally. I recently sold parts and
shipped them to Norway. VAT charges were included by BL and at the top of the
orders page was clickable links to download the receipt and IOSS No. papers needed
for shipping. Very easy to understand.
I now have an order to Moldova, part of the EU. These links were not at the top
of the orders page and no VAT has been automatically charged. The only thing
that shows this is an international order is the declarations form filed out
at ShipStation.
I have read the BL help pages and am more confused than when I started.
How do I get this same information for this Moldova shipment?
THANK YOU!!!
Lori

Currently Moldova is a candidate for EU membership, not a full member, I don't
know what that means with respect to VAT - I suspect it means it won't be
collected.

It doesn't matter, in any case you can cancel once you've filed the OCR.

They're mold numbers. In fact you'll see similar numbers on many parts.
Probably others on BL who could tell you more.

Trans-clear simply comes in two varieties. The trans-clear bricks (your seller
A) that look a little bit more yellow are/were actually the norm for decades.
Only in recent years, they have gotten a little bit more of a blueish hue. These
are all LEGO, and are all new.

Could be the new MABS trans-clear instead of the older polycarbonate

I don't think BrickLink could give an IOSS number (indicating that the buyer
has already paid VAT and that it shouldn't be collected again) when the buyer
has paid off-site (meaning BL didn't collect VAT)

Either:

Refund the entire payment and ask the buyer to pay on-site so BL can collect
VAT, and send the package as usual, or:

If the buyer paid the VAT amount to you in PayPal, refund that amount and send
the order without the IOSS number - the buyer will then have to pay VAT when
he or she receives the package.

Keep in mind that Germany also has those weird packaging recycling regulations.

buyer who wants me to ship an order to his daughter that lives in Canada. Its
unclear to me if this would cause any issues. I imagine that BL will automatically
calculate the taxes for his state but that would be on him to pay. Is their
any risk in sending to an alternate address from a sellers point of view? I
know many stores have in their terms they will only send to Bricklink address,
but I am unclear what the issue is. Thanks for any guidance! -Maureen

There is basically no need to do that.
This is an American buyer. Is he also a seller (i.e.does he have a shop, even
closed)?
- If no, ask him to change his primary address on Bricklink, change it his daughter
address, and then, submit an order.

- If yes, he basically cannot change his address because if he does, his store
gets closed and he has to go through seller validation again. But he can open
a second account just for the purpose of buying. This is allowed, see

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1257474

does anyone know if that means we are allowed to just open an account for that
reason or do we still have to notify the help desk. recently I got an American
and European shipping forwarding address so if I want to use them efficiently
it would help to have a second account

I would notify the Help Desk just to be safe.

BL does get inventories from Lego, those inventories have to be checked against
what's actually in the box and new pieces, minifigures, sticker sheets, etc.
have to be added to the BL catalogue.

I actually parted out a set today that didn't include one of the extra pieces.
I think the first time that's happened to me that I can recall.

I would definitely recommend, if you have minifigure parts, that you try

if they're missing pieces and those pieces can be had at a reasonable price.

Even LEGO.com itself generates much more traffic.

On the other hand, when I Google "wildchicken13", BrickLink is the first

This is definitely an area where sellers could help themselves, not just SEO

Close it seriously using serious one or more zip ties (Rilsan).

You could put them into a pillowcase and then stuff that in a mesh laundry bag
