  Hi everyone,

I made a purchase a few weeks ago of 2 minifigures and a saddle horse blue. All
in used condition. No more description.

20€ minifig (sw0341) Very very bad condition.
5€ minifig (sw0793) Very good condition.
0.80€ blue saddle horse (missing)

The saddle horse never arrived. The expensive minifig has a scratched torso,
with teeth marks. The minifigure's helmet is in even worse condition, as
it does not fit the head properly. The seller says he has not received my email
with photos and video. I have sent it 2 times and still no reply.

Conclusion:
Fraudulent advertisement. Very expensive minifigure in very bad condition. No
response from the seller.

What can I do to get some of my money back? Negative vote yes, but... What about
my money?

Any help please?

Send it with links to the photos and video through Bricklink message on the orders
details page.
Start NSS on Bricklink in the Problem Center.
Eventually you can start a dispute on the PayPal website for a (partial) refund.

The order details page has a tracking number field.
The seller can enter it there after shipping.

  Received email from a buyer:
"What are shipping costs for the items in my shopping cart?"

I replied that I cannot look into carts. I have automated checkout so shipping
costs should be visible. I also explained that sometimes there are items without
weight and the shipping costs are "TBD". If that's the case, please email
me back which item has no weight listed and I come back to you.

Later that day I receive an order form the same buyer: 6 items in 4 lots, totalling
40 cents. Yes, 40 cents.
Buyer selects 'collect locally' for shipping (that is an option I'm
offering).

I mail back: do you really want to collect the items at my location? Because
he lives 1 hour by car from my location (you know what gasoline / benzine costs
today). No reply, instead he added an item to his order, a 2x2 white round plate
for 4 cents. So this makes the total worth of his order 44 cents!

Couple of minutes later I receive the question what the shipping costs would
be.
I answered that shipping would be € 1.97, according to the weight of the order
and my shipping policy.

Next I got an email to cancel his order because he longer needs the parts.

Holy moly!

I cancelled his order and calculated that he kept me busy for half a day. For
44 cents that never came into my pocket!

So let's call it a day.

Martin

BTW: if you want to add this buyer to your stop list, please contact me. Buyer
has a 15 FB rating which I think he doesn't deserve.

As it's probably not the first time of this behavior you could have filed
a NPB which protects you against any feedback from this buyer.
The buyer has the option to NPx, cancel the order and accept the penalty.

Part it out in multiple of 3 instead of 1.

to part out and do buy all with just one list. Is there a way to combine wanted

On the Buy tab you can select multiple lists.

I have an international order that came through recently. Bricklink did not
automatically invoice the customer because the item ordered did not have a catalog
weight and dimension. I went to try and add the shipping costs and invoice the
customer but I am being prohibited from doing so. When I hover over the shipping
costs on the order in the "Received Order" screen it get the pop up "You cannot
change prices after an order has been paid for". The order has NOT been paid
for. The order is currently in "Pending" status. I tried changing the status
to "processing" or "ready" but I am still prohibited from entering a shipping
cost.

Can anyone provide some guidance?

Respectfully,
Nicholas

With the edit order button you can change the payment status as none and the
order status to ready.

over the past 3 months, he refuses to even read them. I am getting a tad annoyed
awaiting him. So here is the question: should I continue contacting him, or should
I just delete the order and forget about it? Or is there a separate way to get
him to email back?
-Bricks of Faith

It's possible that the seller read the message in his email instead as Bricklink
message which would stay as unread.
Did yoy check your email spam folder for an email from the seller?
Buying it or not depends on if the answer is important to you or not really.

Make sure that you update the refund details on BrickLink, if you've refunded
the buyer then the NSS should be removed (but BrickLink doesn't know that
you refunded the buyer if it was done through PayPal only).

If you've refunded, update the payment status by clicking the Refund button
on the order dettails page.

Neutral feedback should neither be considered positive nor negative.
When displaying a store's positive (or negative) feedback score, neutrals
should be excluded.

In its current state, there are 2 problems:
1. Leaving a store neutral feedback does the same amount of damage to its overall
praise percentage as negative feedback, even when the customer considers their
experience neither more positive or more negative.
2. Buyers are less likely to leave neutral feedback when they have genuinely
neutral experiences, because they don't want to harm the store reputation.
This leads to a much less honest picture of the actual experience of buying
from that store.

I think [2] well represents most long term BL users. Newcomers are more likely
to provide honest neutral feedback, without realising the unintended harm it
has on the store reputation.

Or hey, just be honest and rename them "positive, kinda bad, negative", as that's
realistically what they've turned into.

This has been suggested before.

For quite some time too, both our suggestions:

It could be combined with bringing back the feedback smileys.

Must've missed this 11 years ago. Though never used the "smiley" myself,
it sounds good and is supported. Better late than never

Recently had someone purchase, request invoice- I send invoice never hear from
again....6 days later no payment no return correspondence. I cancel give natural
feedback explaining what happen. Than the same buyer does the same thing again
with the same purchase; invoice request....etc....

Don’t just cancel, start the NPB (non paying buyer) process.
If you cancel it opens you up to negative feedback.

Put them on your stop list, so they can’t buy from you again.

Thank you,
After doing this there is still an option to give and get feedback.
I just dont understand why someone would buy something not pay get canceled and
buy again repeating what they just did.

Where is the stop list?

  Hi everyone!

As someone who has just rediscovered the magic of Lego, I wanted to start this
topic because I'm curious about your experiences. As a girl growing up in
the 90's I didn't have that much 'cool' Lego myself. My mom was
happy to have a daughter, so the few sets I had were actually from the very girlish
Belville and Scala.

I am now 30 years old and I look (with admiration and maybe some envy) at the
amazing things adults build on programs like LegoMasters. It inspired me to get
my boyfriend's childhood Lego out of the basement... and that was the start
of a new era! The Dark Age is over, now I am busy working on my plans to build
my own city.

No more creepy Scala-dolls with 'real' hair, but good old minifigs. Or
maybe amazing NEW minifigs, because all the new sets look absolutely amazing
compared to the somewhat boring and discoloured 90's lego I am sorting now.
I bought a few small boxes and polybags, mainly because I was so curious about
the 'real life' look from current Lego.

And now I'm at a bit of a crossroads. I want to build my own city, probably
an island city. I have some old base- and roadplates and even though they are
somewhat discoloured I don't mind using them. But they are big, so I have
doubts if they are really practical. The new roads look great, but they seem
expensive and the budget is limited. I also have to buy some new buildings after
all and many cool sets (especially the Lego creative expert sets) are quite expensive.
So many choices to make!

I am curious about the experiences of my fellow Bricklink-users.
How did you get started after your love for Lego returned?

And if you have any tips for me to get started, feel free to share!
Surely there is something you wish you had known before starting your collection.

PS: My native language is actually Dutch, so if I'm using unusual English...
don't attack me for it please.

Welcome,

I returned to LEGO with collecting the missing 80's and 90's knight's,
pirates and space sets of of my childhood. The interest expanded into more themes.

If you dislike the new roads you can use tiles to create your own roads.
Cover the large baseplates with green, yellow or tan plates for sand or beach.

Many themes have sets which fit in an island theme.
Google will show many great examples.
The bigger the island the better.

  Hey everyone,

First time posting and unfortunately it is about a scammer.

I just want to say that I gave a little too much trust into the sellers on here
(All other sellers that I have transacted with have been amazing.) I was in the
market to purchase a Darth Revan Minifig from "Cheeseontop17" https://store.bricklink.com/Cheeseontop17
and their PayPal wasn't loading when going to check out. I messaged the seller
and asked if he can send me an Invoice to my email and that I would gladly pay
it. He replied and said sure thing, but 2 days passed and there wasn't an
invoice and he messaged me asking if I had seen it. At this point, I thought
that it was an issue between countries and PayPal. I've experienced the PayPal
block before and had other ways around it.

Cheeseontop17 mentioned we can do an Amazon Gift card, and this is where I paused
and thought about it. As I mentioned, every seller was 100% genuine when I've
messaged him so I told myself it should be fine. Turns out it was a scam, seller
gave me an invalid tracking number and when I asked him about it, he said that
it was weird but that it was sent. I asked him again and I haven't received
a reply.

I had my GF message him through bricklink as if she was going to purchase it
and ask if it was sealed. He replied with yes...

Please be aware of this seller, **emailadress removed** Cheeseontop17"

Thank you all!

I remember being in similar situations where I was on the lookout for a discounted
Technic Bugatti Chiron and there was someone selling one for $170 brand new from
an add I saw on eBay. It took me to a website that I never heard of and I couldn't
find any reviews of it. I did buy it since I was desperate and more gullible
back then and it turned out to be a scam. I ended up calling my bank and they
canceled the transaction but was left disappointed.
Btw I hope you got into contact with admins. best of luck

You can do that in the Stud.io dedicated forum here: https://forum.bricklink.com/

Wie geht man mit solch einer Situation um?

Vielen Dank für eure Rückmeldungen im vorraus.
Gibt es bei bricklink Richtlinien/Bestimmungen dazu?

Nein, gibt nicht.

Why should I pay for my Brick Link fees when you can not help me with a problem
I been asking about.
This order with a NPB
I can not upload the items back in my store because of the status of complete.
Please help me out after ten years of no problems in my store and a simple question
of help is not being addressed.
Also I am being charged fees on this order when I put in a Non-paying buyer

Minifigs_Galore

This is the forth time I tried getting a hold of someone to help 5/4/22

You need to complete the NPB process then your fees are refunded.

Dear Sadler_bricks,

thanks for your answer, much appreciated! I am starting to be a little worried
because I have asked some new sellers and their verification process was very
fast (it took days or even less than a day (request submitted in the morning
and approved in the afternoon)).

After I submitted my request, I added more pieces to the inventory in order to
be ready for the opening by reaching a decent amount of lots and pieces: do you
think this discrepancy between the original inventory in the submission for verification
and the current one might have caused any issue to my request?

thanks in advance

Simone

Check your Store Management if the Open button still greyed out.

Yes, of course. I think there is no other way to do that.

If it's paid, did you changed the payment status back from paid to none?

Bricklink shows that the order was paid and ready to ship, however there is no
record of the payment in PayPal. I contacted PayPal and they verified that the
transaction is not there.

I am wondering if anyone knows what the issue may be in this case?
My store and settings are well established and I have never had this issue before.
The buyers account is brand new (0 feedback). The total order was very small
(under $10)

Thanks

With the edit order button you can change the payment status as none and the
order status to ready, add shipping and send the invoice.
You might need to separate the payment column and the order status column in
the settings.

I hit the pay button I get a pop-up box with red lettering stating there is an

I have searched for an answer but haven't found one. I am unable to complete
my order and the seller and I have tried to brainstorm ways to complete the sale.
The seller is overseas if that matters. Has anyone had that problem before? How
can we fix this?

Where the shipping cost added to the order in the invoice?
Are you paying in the correct currency?
Maybe the payment did get through anyway?
Maybe the seller does not accept cross border payments via PayPal?
Try Stripe instead.

It is written that shipping and handling fees will be seen on the invoice.
Am I not committed to buy the product if the invoice is already issued?

If the store has instant checkout you'll see the postage at checkout.
Or if the stock has request quote enabled you can click the request quote instead
of place order at checkout.
Or contact the seller and ask.

They may have some mental health issues, however I feel sellers should be made
aware in case they cross your path.

Background :- buyer places +/- $11 order in my store. Which they acknowledge
was delivered.

Almost two weeks later they claim I sent an incorrect part, a right hand wedge
plate instead of a left hand part.

I always correct orders promptly and send the correct part if I make a mistake.
Before this instance I will do so even if I suspect they are “scamming” me (ie.
they didn’t order the correct quantity, and claim I sent too few).

In this instance the claim of me sending a right hand part wasn’t possible, as
it hadn’t been in my inventory for six months (BO has complete history of every
part), also the quantity remaining of left hand part was correct (it would have
been +1)

Therefore I know with 100% certainty I sent the correct part. I called them out
on this and asked them to check other orders they may have placed.

This buyer went off the rails, within minutes filing NSS, negative feedback and
a chargeback also sending me many obnoxious emails (unfortunately directly rather
than through the BL message system)

I immediately refunded the order in full.

But it hasn’t stopped there they seem hell bent on “trashing me” by posting derogatory
information in public forums, and allegedly contacting my past customers (using
information from BrickLink to contact them - illicitly).

I have now blocked them both here and set email to auto delete any more messages.

Rather than post their user name, it’s easy to find - being the only negative
feedback i’ve ever received!

They maybe underage, the emails are rather childish.

… I guess 13 years without a negative is pretty good! and this one is definitely
undeserved!

Can one find deleted or removed items?

Unless you have a wanted items file it's not possible to retrieve deleted
items.

Also does bricklink have a phone line where I can contact someone that way??

Thanks

The store you left the retaliatory feedback has over 12,000 feedbacks and only
one of those is a neutral and no negatives. There are very few stores with over
12,000 feedbacks with only one neutral feedbacks and now you have made it two
simply because he did not leave you a feedback? That is basically just being
retaliatory. You should really consider removing your retaliatory feedback against
this store - other stores that see this post will block you from shopping in
their stores not wanting to also receive a bad retaliatory feedback because of
not leaving you a positive feedback quick enough.

Jim.

Why is it like that?

As a buyer my part is done as soon I have paid. Why does the sellers wait or
even never give feedback?
I not really care for my numbers of feedback because i will only buy. Aslong
the seller dont give feedback I will also not rate them. Or should I give neutral
rating cause of the lack of them giving feedback?

Some say a transaction is completed only after the buyers says it is.
Some sellers leave feedback in batches once a week/month/3 months/6 months.

You can always send a message to the seller and ask to leave feedback or
to inform them you would gladly leave feedback once the seller leaves feedback.

Feedback is voluntary from both sides. I would not leave neutrals for not leaving
feedback.
You can protest with your wallet by least favorite the store or add a note to
member.

If it's automatically added, then i need to create some extra methods specifically
for tracked orders, so hence the question

Trackingnumbers aren't automatically added to the tracking number field.
