HI all

I'm not sure is it the right section to ask this question but I dont understand
the VAT policy. I write regards something which has happened in the past and
now it feels a bit confusing.I took order in Indonesia, which was covered with
VAT, yet at the polish bourder i was charged same but i never paid attention
to this. What brickling charges this VAT for? does it cover everything? Is it
my fault for not reporting, that VAT was charged allready ? I feel like i was
double taxed in this case? I just dont understand this relation beteween European
regulation and internal bricklink rules. The officer at the bourder saw my invoice

Thank

I noticed it was still pending, and if there's anything else I need to do.

Just wait,

Its not like Bricklink is owned by a multi-billion (DKK) company whose annual
profits are rising year on year and could if they wanted actually make bricklink
the premier Lego parts supplier.

Waiting for new inventories, parts etc is daft. Especially when brickowl seems
to be able to get new inventories on within days.

What exactly has TLG done for this site.

Salty but yours is one of what seems like many a week asking the same thing.

I`m sure someone will come back with the usual "the catalogue admin are volunteers"
Well here's an idea, employ a few full time on good wages, increase the fees
a few % to pay for it if you have to.

Just to clarify this is not a rant at the OP, its just a frustrating state of affairs

Every single day new item availability within the catalog is delayed, is missed
opportunity for both vendor and site, with longer term adverse effect on activity
if consistently and simultaneously available elsewhere.

It's basic understanding of competitive resale marketplaces, which makes
the frustration real and shared by many, as regularly expressed here in the forum:

So I signed-up to be notified when the LEGO Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck
is back in stock. Get an email this morning that it's back in stock, yay!
Go to check and out of stock online and in my local store. The email is 35
minutes old. Apparently I should have checked right before I left for work and
may have had better luck.

original stickers or not..

I believe it was transparent (I can't check for certain as I sold the one
in my inventory - but I seem to remember its being transparent, and if you look
at the picture it seems to have the off-white color of the backing and not the
bright white color of stickers with a white background).

Hello all,

My first time posting here.
I got a White Dragon Horse Jet (80020) set recently and something odd caught
my attention when building Mo's small craft.

In it, a technique is used to make a small frame for the craft, with stud options
to basically all sides. The core of this is specifically a 4733 piece attached
to the side of a 4070 (headlight) piece. As I progressed through the steps I
felt the final craft had a lot of tension on the frame and when disconnecting
a single piece other studs disconnected.
Never have I seen or done this before. I tried it out with other pieces I had
to the same result. Not that I have much of both those pieces lying around.

I left the craft unassembled as I was worried the pieces were getting to much
stress.
I tried looking up the technique but couldn't really find it. Recreating
it in Stud.io gives no warning at all, and the mere fact that this appears in
a 2021 lego set gives me the impression its totally legal. I am wondering what
more experienced builders think, thanks in advance.

Is this 21-day hold a new thing now?

Yes, there is a market for it. The more you have, the better it sells. The masks
would be the first things to concentrate on.

I have a question about the hinge brick top plate assemblies. The catalog contains
3937cxx variants, which include the 3937 1x2 hinge brick base and some color
of 3938 1x2 hinge brick top plate. All of these assemblies are counterparts in
set inventories, none are regular.

However there are no assemblies in the catalog including the 6134 2x2 hinge brick
top plate. This is the other piece designed to fit with 3937.

Why? Is there a reason to include one but not the other? Or just that nobody
has requested this? I saw no mention in my forum search for "top plate"

It's because you can easily destroy this assembly trying to separate it:

Part No: 3937c02 Name: Hinge Brick 1 x 2 with Black Top Plate (3937 / 3938)
*
3937c02 (Inv) Hinge Brick 1 x 2 with Black Top Plate (3937 / 3938)
Parts: Hinge

whereas the assembly with the larger 2 x 2 plate on top is easily separable.

I respectfully disagree. The larger plates also easily damage the assembly. I
believe the reason it is not in the catalog is due to the nature of how the hinge
can be built with the large top plate. We would need two entries for every one.
One with the plate facing forwards and one with the plate facing backwards. Both
of these techniques are used in official sets.

There are other minifigures in the catalogue where there are variations based
on whether or not a backpack style assembly comes with a figure, including all
the original Ghostbusters minifigures.

Minifig No: gb002 Name: Dr. Peter Venkman - Plain Arms, Proton Pack

and so on. Plus others where there are no stickers applied even though they should
be, such as:

Minifig No: uagt013 Name: Agent Curtis Bolt Complete - No Sticker on Shield
*
uagt013 (Inv) Agent Curtis Bolt Complete - No Sticker on Shield
Minifigures: Ultra Agents

Minifig No: uagt013s Name: Agent Curtis Bolt Complete - Sticker on Shield
*
uagt013s (Inv) Agent Curtis Bolt Complete - Sticker on Shield
Minifigures: Ultra Agents

All these variations would need to be removed for consistency.

And the price that an item is listed for should not dictate whether it should
be removed.

The horn photo doesn't appear to be taken from LEGO.com, but there's
no evidence to suggest that this part ever came in the older color. This part
in Phosphorescent Green is known to be more opaque than other parts of the same
color.

The seaweed/vine photo was taken directly from LEGO.com and belongs to Phosphorescent
Green. This is also a more opaque part.

The other four are multicombination parts from 2007 and Glow in Dark Opaque was
not in use anymore.

All PCCs should also be moved to Glow in Dark Trans.

Who knows the reason? Probably nobody.

The whole thing with the assemblies for 3937/3938 was a really wacky idea by
some catalog admin that makes almost no sense. I guess some sellers with used
parts do utilize these listings, so there is some tiny bit of logic in creating
these catalog entries. One lame reason given is that these parts are supposedly
not easy to separate after being assembled. These parts have never come from
the Lego factory assembled, yet the BL catalog contains the long list of assemblies
of various color combinations.

Contrast this with the elimination of part 3830c01.

Part No: 3830c01 Name: Hinge Brick 1 x 4 Swivel
*
3830c01 Hinge Brick 1 x 4 Swivel
Parts: Hinge {Light Gray}
Marked for Deletion

This was a catalog entry that was in heavy use by sellers for years and utilized
thousands of times, yet was eliminated for some wacky nonsense reason. One lame
reason given is the these parts are easy to separate after being assembled.
Another lame reason offered is that the component parts never came from the Lego
factory assembled.

And YET -- we have the opposite catalog position on one type of assembly
versus the second example. So there is no consistency of policy for the catalog.

I consider the whole situation ass-backwards: the most useful listing 3830c01
eliminated but a whole slew of mostly silly listings for 3937/3938.

You can say that again! I got in a 25 pound box of "assorted Lego pieces" for
very cheap. Turns out they were almost entirely Bionicle and Hero Factory. So
many little pieces, so similar, and yet tiny little differences, like flat vs
round ends, angled legs on the ball joint holders vs straight, open sides vs
closed. Driving me nuts!

Honestly, bionicle is a pain to learn. Your best bet is to figure out what sets
are there in partial, and then part out those sets so you don't mix up the
variants. I made a number of mistakes when I started out doing bionicle

Also check all the ball joint connectors for cracks.

Hello! - does anyone know if the sticker sheet for 75895 Speed Champions Porsche
is the transparent type or the opaque solid colour type? - I'm building a

original stickers or not..

Every now and then, a brief discussion comes up whether to assign a color to
a sticker sheet - the color would be of the background of the sticker sheet (so
most times trans-clear or white). See for instance

I'm curious as the what character it is. I know of ; [G=3916]

Is there something I'm missing in settings that notifies the buyer of their
shipping/tracking information? When I mark things as shipped it just tells them
it shipped. Paypal just holds the information and I have to look it up in order
to send to a customer. I used to be able to send a notification while I was printing
the label but I can't find that option now.

Anyone find an efficient way to do this??

I don't use ShipStation but I do notify buyers who use Paypal of the tracking
numbers. When you click on the buyer's information on. your Paypal account,
there is an option to "add tracking ". I copy and paste into the space, select
USPS and send it. I also copy it into the order on Bricklink from the orders
received page.

The instructions for this set only show the assembly of one minifig, the others
are just parts to build the others however anybody wants not in any specified
way.

That's a bit weird. I realize that the instructions are canonical in the
event, say, the picture on the outside of the box and the instructions differ,
but why can't the picture on the outside of the box be used where the instructions
don't specify?

Hi Bricklinkers,

the figure lom003, named ALTAIR, from the Life on Mars series was released in
set 7311 and 7322 in 2001.

The figure's torso came in two different lime "versions", the normal and
a lighter one. The lighter one was not an "official" variant but the torso looked
very close to medium lime.
If you compare the torso to the legs or regular lime part you directly see the
difference.

I am still in need for 21 "similar to medium lime" torsos part no. 30375.

Please do me a favor and check your inventories of lime torsos part no 30375,
lom003 ALTAIR figures or sets 7311 and 7322 and feel free

1) get in contact with me through Bricklink or
2) to reserve those torsos for me on bricklink.com,

if you have 1 or more. We can negotiate a good price, I think .

Very thanks and greetings
Farid
