On the order page you should be able to click report problem on the top right
and do it there

I send it like an invoice, so the price is automatically calculated and you can

Thank you!

Glad I could help!

You send the quote just like a regular invoice but from the quote screen. Quotes
are non binding so you can’t send them as an invoice. If the buyer accepts it
it will auto invoice the buyer with the same info as the quote and then they
can pay

So far I haven’t found any of the black ones. I’ll keep an eye out. I have
sorted the tubs yet, just raked through.

Thank you so much! It doesn’t look like there are any wheels in the mix unfortunately
but I may luck out and find one or two buried in there. Like I said, I have
2 large tubs to go through. Mostly 2x’s, plates and ~20 of the larger baseplates.
There are lots of nice windows of different shapes and styles, fence pieces
and plenty of the white wheel bricks. A few printed bricks with the Lego logo
that stood out. Looks like I have some sorting to do!

The white shows the underside. I have many of them and they are either 10x20

You found a Samsonite lot.
The holey bricks are to attach wheels to your LEGO build

Hi There,

This is the first time that I am posting. I was looking for a couple of parts
for the Trafalgar Square (21045) on the inventory page. The parts are easily
identifiable from the inventory and a many number of sellers available across
the world. I am based in the UK and so think that it will be easier to buy UK
to Uk.

Why is it that some suppliers (I have noticed it seems to be German) have
stocks of 2000 plus when Uk/US and other suppliers have 1 or 2 of the same item.

Just curious.

Hello, I have a few orders that have been sitting in limbo for about 10 to 12
days now due to the buyer no paying for their order and I have sent an invoice
twice. I am courious if other sellers have had this issue and if so how much
time you waited before putting in a cancel order due to non-payment. I am trying
to be fair as I know emergencies happen and life does go haywaire sometimes.

Thanks
Steve

No need to wait 10-12 days. Fairness is a wonderful virtue, but in my experience
anyone who does not pay or contact you within 3-5 days is never going to pay.
Here is what I do:

1. After four days no payment, send a polite reminder. Wait for one day for response.
2. If no response, initiate NPB by day seven.
3. If no response, or payment, complete NPB. Leave negative feedback to warn
other sellers.
4. If the buyer responds to the NPB with payment, then I complete the order,
and leave positive feedback.

About cancellation. My process is to agree to cancel an order if the buyer requests
it prior to the NPB. After the NPB process is initiated, I won't agree to
cancel. When I agree to cancel an order, I tell the buyer that I will be leaving
no feedback, either negative or positive, and I ask them to do the same, since
in a way, no transaction has actually taken place.

What do you do if the buyer indicates to you circumstances beyond their control,
for instance: injury, illness, or family matter, and wishes to cancel after you
filed the NPB? This is assuming they are forthcoming with relevant information
and are willing to back it up if necessary.

Sometimes life gives people circumstances that take up all of their spare time,
and they miss your NPB or assume they can come back later to sort the matter
out. If they have serious problems they had to deal with and told me of them,
I for sure would just retract the NPB and move on with cancellation of the order.
But that's my take on such matters. What's yours?

Cheers ...

Turn on instant checkout for at least the small stuff and this problem becomes
nearly non existant.

You can export as XML and try BrickStore or Brickset to price the items.

I cannot say I have used the My Collection feature here. There is a similar one
at Brickset that allows you to calculate a rough value.

Depends on when exactly, the white ones are older. They were used until 1970,
sets from 71 on use black ones. (At least that's what the catalog says.)

You can make sure you don't have the "exclude superlots" box ticked,
or use the advanced search https://www.bricklink.com/searchAdvanced.asp?utm_content=subnav
and make sure you allow superlots.

Or were you hoping to show all superlots listed no matter what they are? I don't
think you can do that.

I was hoping to search all superlots on Bricklink. Using the advanced search
to find superlots, you can only search for a single item or set and hope it is
in a superlot. Very slow and clunky.

If you click on the link at the top of the individual order (think it is called
report a problem) you can see the date where you can initiate a non paying buyer.
I work to those times.

I have multiple parts that belong to and are unique to the 8880 Supercar. I would
like to sell them all together. I tried setting up a superlot but no success.
Are there any simple instructions to follow?

Many of the existing parts are lots themselves (tires + wheels, sold a x4). Can
a superlot include superlots itself? (nesting)

Click on the 'problem detail' on the order sheet and follow the instructions.

Good luck!

make sure you remove it and you do NOT complete it!

I am not sure why you opened an NSS? This should be your very last move and for
that you have 6 months. If the seller has shipped, the seller should submit documents
to Bricklink hat he shipped and Bricklink customer service has to verify them.
Then the NSS would be removed even if you did not receive it. This only makes
extra work for BL and that seller (who probably sent your order).

If the seller do not answer after multiple contacts and did not let you know
if he shipped or not, then it is recommended to submit an NSS strike and after
few weeks, complete it.

Any reason for the price? I suspect something like the dark purple motorcycle

Btw, I did sell one of these last year.

The price is about 15% higher compared to what it was in 2019 (sold 2 then),
so not a shocking price increase.

It is an single item in your inventory. Think of it as a Stock Keeping Unit
(SKU)

Speaking of lots, OP, you might want to consolidate. Looks like you have multiple
lots of the same item, which can make your items difficult to find (e.g., if
you have 100 Technic pins spread across 5-6 lots, buyers looking for quantities
of 100 might not find your store).

Hi,

If you can find a way in Mecabricks to export your model into the LDraw format,
then you could import it in Studio… but AFAIK, Mecabricks can only export to
Blender, in a way that makes it impractical to convert in anything else.
The cloud is magick… the cloud is a trap.

Honestly the only good thing about model team sets is the nostalgia, everything
else now a days is so much better. Some things are meant to stay history and
not be drudged back up from the depths of the 80's and 90's.

If you are feeling nostalgic pick up some of the sets in modern colors and parts,
with a few substitutions I bet they aren't too bad.

Do you at least have one of these?

* set up your automatic Shipping Methods,

That's it.

Please be aware that if you sell a lot of instructions, the shipping calculator
uses an algorithm if there is no data in the field. The algorithm often reports
a size that is too big.

I recommend using the "No Packing Dim in Catalog" checkbox to catch things
like this.

I don't recommend using shipping methods which are already made - I suggest
you create new ones and figure out the costs ( averages or however you determine
it) based on current USPS rates online. Even if you plan to offer discounted
shipping b/c you use Pirate Ship, you still need to make sure that your orders
come in under that cost. Otherwise you will lose money every time. Shipping rates
just increased in January for USPS so I expect yours are out of date.

I don't recommend stacking the bricks. For one thing, they can break if not
taken apart carefully so you run the risk of negative feedback from buyers or
having to refund alot. I sell quite a few bricks and I never stack them. Just
adjust your padding on the shipping costs so you provide extra padding for them.
You can adjust for weight, dimensions of the package in each shipping option.

Your terms are a little light on specifics - for example, what kind of resolution
will you provide - refund, replacement bricks ? Imagine if you were the buyer,
what kind of terms would you want to see. Are you offering any kind of customer
service - what do you look for in other stores when you buy ? Ask yourself those
questions and see if you think your terms are adequate.

Oh me too - I've maybe one Manual Invoice per month or couple of...

I mainly sell parts; so I very rarely have this case of no weight/dimension...

It's fun to see how my shop's terms have been copied and changed over
time! Those look good.

2) I picked what appeared to be a good shipping package from pre-made ones, however

There is no 'good' set of shipping methods here. No one checks them and
no one maintains them. You absolutely have to create your own shipping tables
based on the current USPS rates.

If you are using Pirate Ship, then you are using the Commercial Base USPS shipping
rates. Learn how to look these up and how the shipping zones work. BrickLink
doesn't account for zip codes do you have to do your best to average out
the costs. Also, commercial rates allow First Class mail up to 16oz, not 13oz.

3) "LOTS" This term confuses me and I am not clear how it applies to
my inventory and to sales. Could somebody clarify?

A lot is a quantity of one particular part in one specific color. If you buy
5 Yellow 1x4 Bricks, that is 1 lot. If you add 1 Red 2x2 Brick to that order,
then you have selected 2 lots. Add 100 Green 1x4 bricks, now you have 3 lots.

I realize time is valuable and I thank you in advance for taking time to give
your input!

Good luck,

looks okay to me. Do you require insurance over a set value? You may want to
post that in your terms.

You need to update the "pre-made" ones with current rates as they have
changed recently, be sure to include your packaging cost (an average will do)
in your shipping rates. Also, you can ship up to 16 oz instead of 13 oz. via
commercial USPS rates.

It is an single item in your inventory. Think of it as a Stock Keeping Unit

I realize time is valuable and I thank you in advance for taking time to give

I use an easier solution (for me anyway):
* set up your automatic Shipping Methods,
* set up a fall back Manual Shipping method for what doesn't have size, weight,
etc.

That's it.

If that works for you...

I said "goodbye" to manual invoicing years ago, and I've been very
happy with how Instant Checkout has worked (*and* with how Instant Checkout has
reduced the number of NPBs I've had to 0 since implementing it!)...

If you are set up for Instant Checkout and have ever had a Buyer contact you
and let you know they were trying to buy something from your store, but they
were unable to checkout, and you were confused as to why…

This has happened to me before (and once again recently), so I figured it
was something to share (it pays to keep up n these sort of things when you are
adding a lot of inventory!)…

When using Instant Checkout, you need to make sure all the items in your store
inventory have the volume/weight required to allow for it to use your shipping
methods to calculate shipping costs... unfortunately, some of the items in the
catalog are missing volume/weight, and prevent Buyers from using your shipping
methods to purchase those items using Instant Checkout (the error reads something
along the lines of "no shipping methods available..."... so, unless
you add the appropriate information to your items, they may be unavailable for
Instant Checkout...

Because I just had a Buyer send me a message that they were unable to checkout
of my store the other day, I had to recheck my own inventory; and, sure enough,
one of items I recently added did not include information to allow for Instant
Checkout… so I fixed it, and the Buyer was able to purchase what they wanted
from me… That said, I felt it a good time to remind everyone using Instant Checkout
to verify all your items are set up to allow them to be bought this way, and
I created a simple step-by-step to verify all the items in your inventory are
set up to allow for Instant Checkout…

You can follow along with the image I created, and/or follow the steps below…

The simplest way to check if any items in your store inventory are missing information
that prevents them from being purchased via Instant Checkout is by:

1) Go to "My Store--Inventory"

2) Make sure the "Instant Checkout Unavailable" box is checked

3) Clicking on the “Go!” button to view those items (if any are listed, they
are missing information that would allow for Instant Checkout)

4) Add whatever information (volume or weight) is missing manually (as you can
see in the screenshots,
I added weight to the items in my inventory)...

5) Once you have added the appropriate information that was missing, click on
the “Submit Changes” button at the bottom of the list, and you should see them
all disappear—if any items remain, they are still missing information to allow
for Instant Checkout…

Years ago, it was quite a lesson in frustration in trying to find out why a few
Buyers couldn’t check out from my store (and those were the Buyers that actually
reached out and asked—there are likely others that couldn’t, and just decided
to stop trying!)… Once I figured it out though, I am continually reminding myself
after adding inventory to check again, so that I don’t have items in my inventory
that Buyers cannot actually purchase…

Hope this helps some Seller out there that was unaware of this little ‘feature’
of Bricklink & Instant Checkout…

Life is Good.

Do they have different purposes?

Thanks!!

These are evolutions of the same brick with the same purpose. They were made
in different years, but there may have been overlap with older and newer molds
being in use simultaneously.

First iteration, yellow: stabilization of the side walls by a separator that
links every second pin to the wall.

Second iteration, blue: stabilization wall is lowered by half a plate, so that
it does no longer interfere when placing the brick at a half stud offset on open
studs.

Third iteration, red: improved stability by adding extra stability walls. This
also prevents the not-connected bottom pins to break off.

Fourth iteration, green: reducing the amount of plastic by making the bottom
pins hollow. Accidentally this also adds connectivity for hair accessories with
a 1 mm pin but I don't believe the holes in the brick's bottom pins have
been formally designed for this purpose.

They look like they were played with outside on concrete.

I checked the sellers feedback and this seem to be a normal thing for them, again,
I don't get it.

Contact the seller to invoice you with PayPal Onsite as payment method.
Bricklink has to be able to add tax.
You can connect your credit card to your PayPal account and make the payment.

Thanks for the answers. I have only recently set up Paypal and had no idea you
can pay to an email address which is what I ended up doing but every other time
a simply "pay" button appears. Thanks again

Ar you sure the payment was received vy the seller?
If the seller invoiced correct a pay button would have appeared.

As far as I am aware, you can't get rid of that. That wording was put there
because some sellers were instructing buyers to pay offsite, thereby preventing
BrickLink from collecting sales tax.

Thanks - that's what I figured.

Also, for what it's worth, I skip over that part when reading the invoice

If you edit your store you can change the message templates (last under shipping
options) and remove whatever default text you like from any of the templates.

I'm not sure one can say this - this seller doesn't even get feedback
from a majority of his or her buyers

Reading the comments, the actual words, many of his buyers are happy. That is
why more people keep buying.

Yes, more than 50% don't leave feedback, but then even happy buyers dont
always leave it. Are 40% of your buyers not happy? Those who don't say, don't
count.

He seems to get some repeat buyers or buyers placing multiple orders at once
or over a short time. It may well be that some don't leave multiple feedbacks,
just one. Or it may be he has a lot of scared buyers. We simply don't know.

All we do know is out of all the non-positive and missing feedback, he doesn't
have three completed NSS.

Happy? Or too scared to say what they really think out of fear of retaliation

Either way I wouldn't be surprised if that sellers days here are numbered!

Visa? You probably mean by Stripe or PayPal?

Just found some older ones (new old stock) that DO NOT have a logo. I know this

It's not your problem, but the seller's one.

alright, yeah it helps. How do I instruct the seller? doesn't seem like he

On the order page there is a button at the top that says issue refund

I can't find such a button

Only the seller has it. Otherwise a buyer could submit their own refund?

Oh I see, so I should tell the seller to click on the issue refund button (this

if this works)?

Yup the seller needs to do that

The seller continues to say that he cannot file an OCR and that I have to. Just
told him to check the orders tab for an issue refund button, earlier I simply
told him to 'refund'

There is no "orders tab " so maybe that's where the confusion lies.
He has to open the order and click "issue refund" on the order itself.
That will take him to a page where he can link to the Paypal or Stripe location
where the refund is given. If he cannot manage this, then maybe he shouldn't
be selling on BL. Once the refund is given, then he can change the status to
cancelled by going to Problem Center , entering the order # and doing it there.
There is no option to cancel if the refund is not given.

No, he CANNOT and you CANNOT.

The order MUST be refunded FIRST, and only the seller can.

Gee, it's 10 times we're telling you this!

Run away from this seller please.
He can refund either from BrickLink (the order) or in PayPal or Stripe, depending
how you paid. But he HAS to do this first.

Again, it's NOT your problem, a seller has to do this.

Otherwise, NSS and PayPal claim later on...

read the room! already got that
messaged the seller that he must issue a refund and I told him where to find
it

Well, how does the seller refund it all and then cancel it?

Is the seller asking you that? It should be able to be refunded on-site, then
he or she can set the payment status to "not yet paid" or "none"

Seller is asking me to file an OCR, but when I enter the order ID no "problem"
shows up / no ocr form to fill out

Because the seller first has to refund and set the payment status appropriately.

How does the seller refund it? And the status is set as "packed"

Status doesn't matter.

Seller MUST know how to refund.

Order MUST be refunded FIST.

It's not your problem, but the seller's one.
You CANNOT cancel a paid order.

Hoping it helps?

alright, yeah it helps. How do I instruct the seller? doesn't seem like he
knows how to do it

On the order page there is a button at the top that says issue refund

I can't find such a button

Only the seller has it. Otherwise a buyer could submit their own refund?

Oh I see, so I should tell the seller to click on the issue refund button (this
is my second time ordering off bricklink, or well I'll still be on my first
if this works)?

Yup the seller needs to do that

The seller continues to say that he cannot file an OCR and that I have to. Just

told him to 'refund'

It should look something like this
