Colour 2 would be Tan… but that’s in the BDP2 palette.
(Or Green if it’s the LDraw colour code, which is also in the BDP2 palette.)

If you want the box, ask for pictures of the box. How complete is the set? Does
it include all parts and minifigures?
Factory sealed is one thing but if the box is damaged badly enough parts bags
and or minifigures may have fallen out or have been removed by the seller or
someone else.
I would want to be very sure of what I'm buying, so I personally would ask
for pictures and verification of contents included with the box. I would advise
you to do likewise.

| The average sale price in the last 6 months is around 600. That's for a
sealed set I'd assume with the box in good condition. I'd expect someone
willing to pay 600 for it would want that nice box too. I don't expect you'd
get that much for a set with a damaged box, but I think you'd be able to
sell it for more than 325, although I'm not sure how much more, or how long
it would take to sell.
Now if you were to part it out, apparently you could make over 600, but it would
be more transactions/time/energy, etc,
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogPOV.asp?itemType=S&itemNo=75053&itemSeq=1&itemQty=1&breakType=M&itemCondition=N&incInstr=Y&incParts=Y
Just my 2 cents.

| Just wanted some advice! I have someone who wants to sell me 75053 for $325 factory
sealed but a damaged box. Is that a good deal, I would resell it on my store
but I don’t have too much knowledge on that set, any advice would be greatly
Appreciated!

There’s a few here but they aren’t easy to find (they should be in there: https://www.bricklink.com/browseCustom.asp
, but research by keyword doesn’t help much, so you’ll need to browse, mainly
in Instructions I guess, note that the number in parentheses is the number of
“copies,” not of different kind, so there’s not that many pages to browse).
Otherwise, there’s Rebrickable.
(And some designs are, at the same time, detailed, with good instructions _and_
free!)

The process changed. I won’t explain the previous programs (AFOL & BDP invitational’s
3 rounds) because it’s too late anyway.
So, here a summary of how BDP Series works now.
A series is:
1. 1 month for submitting your designs.
2. A couple weeks for voting, “crowd support.”
3. Selection. Up to 5 designs are chosen as “finalists.”
4. 9 months to finalize the final designs (with LEGO’s help).
5. 1 month of “crowd support”: you can pre-order the sets. Up to 20k sets are
sold, 2 of each per pre-buyer. Sets that don’t reach 3k pre-orders are not produced
at all.
6. 6 months for production by LEGO.
7. Shipping.
So, as a buyer, what interests you is:
— step 2: you vote between hundreds of designs,
— step 5: you pre-order the 5 finalists, 11 months later,
— step 7: you receive your sets, 6 months later.
Series 1 is in step 4. You’ll be able to pre-order in February.
Series 2 is starting step 1 today.
Series 3 will start step 1 in September.
And so on.

Just acquired 2 older sets that are semi-sealed. By that I mean that due to age,
the clear, roundish lego sealing tape (on the sides) has pulled away from one
side (on both sets).
Because of this, you can actually get into the boxes, but everything inside is
sealed/new.
Also, there is a number printed on the clear lego tape...anyone know what that
number means?
|
It is a manufacturing code. The first two numbers are the week it was made, the
third digit is a plant code, and the last digit is the year it was made. So if
your set was made in the 18th week of 2002 in the plant with code "R",
the code would read 18R2.
| Any opinions on whether the tape drying out is common on older but new sets?
|
Yes, it is extremely common.

Yes, you can make custom kits and sell them as custom sets in your store so long
as they do not contain modified or non-lego parts. Rules here:
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=103
Custom Sets: Custom sets or instructions may be listed, provided they do not
infringe on any intellectual property rights, including those of the LEGO Group.
Custom sets may not contain modified parts or non LEGO parts such as lighting
kits or electric motors.
Non LEGO Items: Certain non LEGO items that are deemed by BrickLink to be part
of LEGO fan culture may be listed. These include literature about LEGO products,
LEGO memorabilia, and items used to make custom sets (e.g., stickers, instructions,
and boxes). BrickLink reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine
whether a certain Non LEGO Item is appropriate for listing.
|
|
Also remember you cannot infringe LEGO IP, so you cannot create a "Classic
Space Rover" or "Black Falcons Castle" or anything like that.

Yes! Add the set to your inventory as you would a normal set. Then, on the inventory
add page, check the box for "custom item" and upload a picture and enter
the description in the box labeled "comments".
Hope that helps.

Is there a way to create and sell own MOC Sets through Bricklink?
- Create own article numbers e.g. #username_001 etc.
- create BOM, instructions & pictures
- offer and sell it in your shop
MUST requirements:
- has to cosist of original existing LEGO (R) parts
- no licence infringements
Many thanks for your feedback.
best regards
Thomas

| Heat will straighten them out. I used heat to straighten large plates 6-7 years
ago. I cannot remember the exact setting, but it was something as follows:
Set your oven to a low temp of 200
Place items in oven for a short time period, start with 1 minute.
Pull them out of the oven and test their temperature.
Continue to put into oven until they are warm enough.
Once they get warm enough the bends will fall out.
Over cooking will ruin the clutch on the studs so be careful.

Remember to season with salt a pepper and to first oil the part so it dosnt stick
|
And then serve with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

| I'd also like to add that I do NOT fault the seller here!
It was an experiment, I can handle a 10EUR loss
However the seller offered me a refund. I declined. I then got a coupon
Which is like a thumbs up for me to blow more money on LEGO even if the wife
says noooooo
So, I can very much recommend Brickmatey as a great new, fair and reliable seller
Cheers,
Ole

| Warped parts are warped parts. Does it matter where they came from? They don't
meet the quality standards. They should be replaced IMO.
Now, if you stockpiled all your broken reddish brown pieces from the last decade
and tried to make a claim, that's probably pushing it.

I don't MOC/buy or deal with anything the pre 2003/4 pellet disaster in general
This was a test
