Yes, i agree. Molding a bar 5L or 6L was too much to ask for.
Extending the present 4L one by 1 or 2 studs was much too complicated
and probably seen as unnecessary.
Furthermore, there is an already existing one 6 long #63965 already included
in the set, which might have had fit from the beginning?
However it seems to be good enough for most to spend ~630€ on.

I admit, I'm kind of surprised by this, but I also grew up on Girder and
Panel sets as well as LEGO, so for me things need to be structurally sound.
Seems like a new mold(s) would be in order to make this look superb. Think two
bar holders with female ends that snap together on a simple pin/pivot so that
you can get different angles for the cross connector.

| That's the way they are. You can see it in the instructions manual, either
the picture of the designer at the beginning, or in the steps where this is actually
built (3rd book).

if you want to sell yours on bricklink you would need a store first

| Hi all, I'm fairly new member, not new to Lego, but new to selling. I did
a search on this and didn't find anything, but SIAP. For the set 40566 -
Ray's Castaway, that's not one I really need in my personal collection.
I'm curious if most are selling this as a full set or planning to part out?

I ordered mine from a normal shop (not bricklink and also not Lego) and the seals
look damaged (one was even open). My set has 18 bags (no double numbers), but
it only weighs 3332g (compared to the 3404g that it should have according to
bricklink).

I just built this set, it has 18 numbered bags, no steps have multiple bags.
1 unnumbered bag, and a cardboard wrapped baseplate.

Thanks, that helps a lot! I had this unnumbered bag (with plates and energy effect
parts) as well, also the cardboard wrapped baseplate. Wonder why I'm ~70g
off then. Maybe the bricklink information about the weight isn't correct
(because normally I can trust my scale )
