| As a newbie who has jumped straight in without reading any instructions, am not
sure if this is already possible.
Link the orders generated from a wish list to that wish list. Then when I mark
an order as complete give the user the option to update the inventory in the
wish list. This then updates the "HAVE" values as per the quantities
from the order for a particular item.
Also, from the order details page, add a hyperlink to set the order to "Complete"
If I go to my wish list and "ADD ORDER" allow multi select of many orders
to update my wish list "HAVE" values.
If I have more items than I need from a particular order put the extra items
and quantities into another Wish List or into my Parts as stock as, I have them
but not using in any build.

| I would like to suggest a sub section for a sets inventory page, one that shows
the exclusive parts to the set, as I think this will help many people when looking
to rebuild models and is also a way of seeing what parts are exclusive to what
sets. I desperately need this feature to help with rebuilding sets, and specifically
to make sets out of other parts that are already in my collection. I'm aware
that a way to do this already exists (go to a specific part and look up what
sets it comes in), but I feel like this will be an easier and quicker solution
and will help people a lot to discover what parts are needed. This could also
be expanded to exclusive minifigures, and who doesn't love exclusive parts?
thanks,

| Can we unban Russians?
Not trying to get into a politicial argument, this is purely economical but all
the ban has done is make Russians buyers get their orders sent to sorting offices
in Kazakhstan, Belarus and other countries neighbouring Russia, to then be sent
to their addresses in Russia.
These sorting offices require tracking numbers and international tracking is
very expensive. I personally have had to end sales to both Belarus and Kazakhstan
because of this as 2/2 orders have got lost due to me sending them without tracking
(as I wasnt aware at the time) and has cost me over £100 as I've had to give
out full refunds.

|
| As a builder, wanting to find available parts, or as someone wanting to research
a part in my hand, it would be useful if each piece, in the database, was associated
with the connections on that piece. The obvious connections include studs and
stud-receivers, technic pins and technic pin holes, small pin holes and small
pins, bars and bar receivers which include clips, hands, and open studs, and
several others. Additionally, this implies the ability to filter a search by
selecting the possible connection types.
I imagine this filter as providing a checkbox for each connection type and
an optional number field. For example, design ID 20482, "Tile, Round 1 x 1 with
Bar and Pin Holder", includes one stud-receiver, one bar, and one small pin hole.
One problem is that there's no standard for describing "small pin holder".
If you search on "pin holder", your search is overwhelmed by technic pieces
while not revealing many pieces which include a "small pin hole". Many parts
with such a connection, call it a "pin hole" or "pin holder" rather than a "small
pin" something. Other descriptions use the word "hat". Most such parts don't
provide any information at all on this feature. Nor do the parts which include
the "small pin".
Another problem is that many parts don't follow what most of us consider
the standard for dimensions. Is it a 4x1 or a 1x4? This becomes a bigger problem
if the part isn't exactly one brick tall. However, I can count studs and
enter that number into a filter.
The first goal is to standardize the vocabulary. For example, do you say "stud-receiver",
"anti-stud", or "antistud"? The word "pin" should be stricken from the database
and replaced with either "techpin", "smallpin", or "handpin". (are there other
pins?)
Finally, imagine having this feature in Studio. wow.

devices today this should be a top item to work on - getting this site mobile

It would enhance so much on both sides from the buyer to seller - the ability

| Dear BrickLink,
What a great website! So much LEGO all in one place. I've begun to add my
current sets to my inventory. But, I've noticed that if I make a mistake,
and accidentally add sets or parts as "New" when they are actually "Used" there
is no way for me to modify that inventory. I have to delete the old inventory
item(s) and add new ones.
But, since your site reminds me every time I part out a set, there is no way
to bulk delete items from a particular set. It would be tremendously helpful
if we could modify our inventory, piece by piece or set by set, so that we could
change the status of a set/piece as "New" or "Used."
I hope this is something you can deliver for us.
Again, great site! It is my go-to spot for anything LEGO!
Enjoy building! Thanks!

| Ho ho ho,
I noticed Advent Sub-Sets are always on far fewer Wanted Lists, listed less,
and sold in smaller quantities than their minifigure counterparts.
Sealed polybags or not, the prices are very comparable. I understand if buyers
are avoiding additional parts or accessories, but that doesn't explain the
equal vacancy for non-exclusive minifigures.
Are casual buyers missing out?
Suggestion: Update the festive figures with new relationship links.

|
| Suggestion: Please Add one more Confirmation Step before placing orders that
have Manual Invoicing.
Reason: It is too easy to place an actual order that does not include
a payment step with full Auto-Checkout.
Explanation: Buyers have gotten used to Auto-Checkout procedures that
offer many stages/clicks in order to fully commit to an order and make payment.
This allows buyers more opportunities to be sure they really want to place that
order.
With non-Instant Check-out orders, once presented with the Shopping Cart, there
is now only ONE Click required to place that order. Buyers who expect that next
click to give them more information such as shipping charges or a Grand Total
end up placing an order.
The Green Button to place the order does NOT even say PLACE ORDER -- it
only says AGREE AND CONTINUE
Side Note: I just fell into this trap myself. After having previously
placed some Instant-Checkout orders, I found myself in a manual invoice shop.
Even tho I was aware of that fact, I clicked the Green button and placed the
order. It surprised me very much and left me rather unhappy.
As a seller, I have been processing too many order cancellations from buyers
who claim they did NOT wish to place the order, but did so by mistake. Now I
know why.
Conclusion: It is too easy to place a manual invoice order now. A lot
of order cancellations may be due to buyers placing orders unintentionally (by
accident or mistake). By adding ONE MORE Confirmation Step, it can potentially
reduce the occurrence of unintentional orders, unhappy buyers, and unhappy sellers
who must process order cancellations or deal with those unhappy buyers.
Also, the final step should explicitly state PLACE ORDER, not simply AGREE
AND CONTINUE.
In my opinion, this is a very simple fix that will solve a lot of unhappiness
and cancelled orders.

| Currently price guide settings only allow a buyer to include only items in stores
for a single country.
For example, I can select the price guide to only show items located in United
States or Germany, but not both at the same time.
I only order from around 12 countries that have favorable shipping terms but
have to scan an exhaustive price list from countries I have no interest in purchasing

| Loving the new My Collection feature, I'd like to suggest some new features
for it that would really improve its usefulness:
- Add the ability to sort by quantity
- Allow parts in colors not in the BrickLink catalog to be added. It takes a
while for new colors that come in new sets to be available in the BrickLink catalog,
and there are a variety of parts that I have in my collection that are not in
the catalog but were produced by Lego in other ways. Would be really useful to
be able to add these to my collection just like I can add these to my wanted
lists
- As others have said, an "Add Order Items to My Collection" button is a must
have
- When you download a wanted list then try to upload it to "My Collection", you
get an error saying it's incorrectly formatted. This is due the
encoding="UTF-8"? line that is added to the top of the wanted list xml for some
reason. This should be recognized when uploading to My Collection, because downloading
and uploading the same format from the same site should just work
Thanks!

| Can we get clarification on any "unknown" colors for parts? Any part listed
in an "unknown" color should either be changed to confirm it is a known color
or that color should be removed for that particular part. If a part was released
in a particular color, that color should be added to the known colors for that
part, even if there are no parts listed in that color so sellers can list the
part in those colors if they should happen to have them without doubting or second
guessing if they have correctly identified the color for that part. One specific
example is Bionicle parts in Flat Silver and Pearl Light Gray. My understanding
is Flat Silver may have only been used during the final year Bionicle was released
but also that some sets may have used Flat Silver in some countries while using
Pearl Light Gray in other countries for the same part in the same set. I don't
know wether this is actually true or not but sellers could definitely use some
clarification as whether the actual dye was different or not, there are definitely
color variations among these parts. Thank you.

| I'm buying a lot of parts to build a specific thing.
I also have a lot of want lists and before I check out I always see if the current
seller happens to have any of those parts/figs.
Often they will have a fig I want, but they are asking 2x the going rate for
that part. For instance, recently a seller I was buying from had a Harry Potter
fig for $16 that usually sells for $8 if you check the global sales stats. During
the checkout flow, I'd like be able to offer $8 for this fig in addition
to the rest of my order, and then the seller can decide if they want to add it
to the order or not.
I think a lot of times the seller just doesn't regularly update prices for
the figs they are selling and would often toss in extras at market rate for an
order that they are already shipping, since it is easy.

sometimes parts at not competitively priced and there are huge ranges on some

It would save me a lot of time if there was a way to quickly find *reasonably
priced* items on my wanted list at a given store. I.e. "Add to cart all items
on this list at this store where the price is within 10% of what this part usually

There are a ton of parts that I have basically infinite demand for at the market
price, or slightly below. Every time I shop at a store I want to add any copies

I've read several suggestions but would like a clearer answer on who's
been there before if possible.
I'm starting my collection of minifigures (all after 2014 except 3 between
2000 and 2011), which will be "locked up" and protected inside a display case
not exposed to the sun and inside a bookcase therefore without sudden changes
in temperature (and will not be touched again).
I'm asking for help figuring out (being new to Minifigures collecting) if
there is a way to dam or prevent cracks on minifigures, I've read that
some individual pieces (like 93095 or 99780) may take the stress off the minifigure,
have you ever tried? how do you make sure they don't crack? and then they
all die or not?
Thanks in advance to everyone

|
| Currently rules are as follows:
New Parts - Parts are brand new, taken directly from new sets or were purchased
"as new" in another form such as accessory packs or Pick A Brick and have been
handled only for sorting. These parts have never been used in any manner. If
a minifigure or part assembly was originally sold assembled by LEGO, its component
parts after disassembly can also be listed as new.
Plus:
New Minifigures - Minifigures are brand new, taken directly from new sets
or were purchased "as new" in another form such as accessory packs or Pick A
Brick and have been handled only for sorting. Minifigures may be listed as new
either assembled or unassembled.
Scenario - I buy a NEW minifig from a seller with an intention to part it out
and sell as parts. But the seller is inconsiderate enough to assemble the new
minifigs for sale.
Rules only allow the sale of the previously assembled minifig's parts as
'new' only if the said assembled minifig was originally sold assembled
by LEGO.
@BL Team - please explain how this is not contradictory and/or fix this
once and for all. Disallowing the assembly of NEW minifigs for sale would be
the sensible thing to do?
OR! And this would be the worst way to solve this and thus I assume the most
likely one - add an additional setting for 'assembled' or 'unassembled'
for minifig listings and specifically disallow the sale of minifig parts as new
if they were previously assembled by someone else other than LEGO.
This must have been raised a million times before. Why is there such a strong
unwillingness to address this?
---------------------------------------
If the rule change is made, there should also be an exemption for listings with
IDs that precede the date of the rule change. Plus perhaps a greyed-out small
text added to ALL 'mew' minifig listings telling the buyer to familiarize
themselves with the rules.
Being a bit acid on this topic is, I am afraid, becoming mandatory. You know
why.

| Suggestion: Give member-admins additional privileges, regarding other members
buying and selling.
I'm reading the post by BrickinNick (1373076) and it occurs to me, considering
that the actual BL team/help desk is usually "useless", may it be a good idea
to give reinstatement privileges to "high ranking" member admins/moderators/whatevers?
I would not say that any reinstatement would be permanent, but perhaps the admin
could do temporary reinstatements, for 1 week periods (and/or number of orders
allowed, etc). They could also communicate directly to a help desk email their
reasoning, etc, so that the actual BL team would be informed. Or better, reinstatement
would be on a new as-of-yet unbuilt page, that has an extensive comments field
for the member to state all reasons and actions, etc, to be included in an auto-report
at the time of reinstatement.
Same could be said for selling. Maybe there's an errant NSS, selling got
revoked, and seller has contacted help desk (3 weeks ago...). The member-admin
could review and reinstate, temporarily.
I'd also suggest that BL auto-email any suspension information to the member-admins
that have this privilege. They'll get the info automatically, and so they
can review all official info, plus member direct, to make their call.
There are obviously serious situations where this wouldn't be the best. There
are many simple and/or dumb situations that could be resolved in 5 minutes, if
only the help desk, well, helped in a timely manner.

| Feature suggestion: Make it possible to list a part in your wanted list as "any
variant accepted." This would allow store listings of all variants of a part
to be considered by the "Buy All" function of the wanted list.
This would be extremely helpful if, for example, the cheapest listing of part
2436 was more expensive than the cheapest listing of part 2436b, and you didn't
need either specific version for your project. In this case, the "Buy All" function
would automatically select 2436b.
It may also be useful if you were able to mark certain variants as accepted but
not all; for example, if you wanted any variant of part 4085 except 4085c, the
"Buy All" function would search listings of all 4085 variants except 4085c.

| Hi all,
it strikes me that some items are in the catalogue and sellers do not use a tier
pricing, but a new listing instead.
For example:
Catalog: Parts: Minifigure, Headgear: 88287: Price Guide
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?P=88287&colorID=1
but all listings except 1 are from the same seller!!
I understand these could be different batches, but it would be nice if a seller
would use a tier price instead.
Or am I just OCD on this one?
Have fun

| This was suggested twice a LONG time ago.
2011 - https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=543963 - Starbug
2010 - https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=475633 - FigBits
I want to be able to specify, and then have a buyer see a lot minimum purchase
quantity. e.g. (10+) Of course the minimum qty should be enforced when attempting
to add to the cart.
I'm ok with combining the minimum with bulk, or for simplicity make it either
/ or with bulk as Starbug suggested.
If not shown in the price guide to start...I'm ok with that. But I'd
much prefer the price guide also show the min. amount followed by a + . For
example (200+) say for a tiny $0.01 part where I only want to use the counting
scale.

| Using the mean price to display for the "Avg Price" field is misleading. Averages
are prone to be skewed by large values, whereas Median is not.
Look at set 6426244-1. The New Avg Price shown is (currently) $80.91, which seemed
high. When I looked further, I saw there is one listing at $900. When I calculated
the median of this list of values, I determined the median value to be around
$51.15.
Looking at the full dataset, the median value is much more representative of
the "average" value. So my suggestion can be summed up as:
Use the median value for Avg Price

| What BL calls Light Purple is described as a bright color by LEGO. This term
can be very confusing to sellers and buyers alike. I’ve received many Medium
Lavender bricks after ordering this color. Changing this would also establish
some consistency with its transparent counterpart. Both colors are relatively
rare but the current name is too general.
Maybe Reddish Purple? Medium Purple? It is the only bright LEGO color that BL
calls ‘Light’.

| It would be nice to have a click box for each of the sub sections in the inventory
area to select just sets, or parts, or MFs. Its a pain to click the ALL box at
the top and deselect sets and MFs when i just want parts. And vise versa.

| Hi there,
Lot's of items has alternative item numbers. It would be great if those are
also exported in API calls like "Get Item" and so on.
Thank you for considering this.

| Hi,
I've been using Bricklink extensively. Have a long list of items all with
max prices set for them. What would really be useful for me is to be able to
rank items
for a given seller based on the relative difference in prices. So first would
come items that are way cheaper than my max. price, and then increasingly close
together, and items that are progressivey more expensive than my max. price.
Another feature that would be really useful is when using the Buy option and
it considers which shops have what on offer. I can sort that list on Lots and
Item Count, each have their uses. The problem is that Item Count does not refer
to the number of items
I'd like to get from that shop, but the number of items that shop has in
Lots I am interested in. Although one could change that, what would also help
me is to be able
to sort based on the value of whatever that order would be: now I need to clikc
on Select to get that Total. Sorting on that Total could be a great help to quickly
find buyers worthy of a closer investigation.
Thanks,
Jur

| The catalog search has a list of keywords which are excluded from searching.
Yet some of those keywords are being used in catalog titles, and are essential
when trying to locate a catalog entry.
As an example
‘Up’ is used in the title, but that same keyword is being excluded from searches.
The suggestion is to synchronize the exclusion with the inclusion of certain
words.
Thank you

| Hello,
Is it possible to get an option integrated into the site to change the default
sort setting for Wanted Lists? It always defaults to Newest but sorting chronologically
isn't helpful for me, and judging by other forum posts is a gripe for many
other users. I would like to have it default to sort alphabetically. Ideally
it should be a user selectable default in account settings so people can choose
whichever view they want as default.
Thanks,
Ron

| We already can create a Want list. Actually I miss creating Have lists. For collectors
this function is as much important as a Want list. My suggestion is to add this
function to the website. Collectors use other websites for this function. With
this function, in Bricklink, collectors are more active in 1 place.
One other issue. We can export a Want list. The export shows a Lego number to
show what Lego set it is about. Can you adjust the export, so more information
can be shown? Information such as: setname, theme etc.
