Sort of. You can import an official LEGO set into Studio, but it's not assembled.
On a Mac, the command to do so is File - Import - Import Official LEGO Set.

To succintly answer your question, yes all the official LEGO sets can be imported
in Studio, just not the way you expect them. Instead of a built model, you get
all the parts for it nicely arranged on a plane like you would do on a table
before starting to build the real set if you are into knolling.
Of course, with all the parts present, you can then proceed to build the set
in Studio after the digital instructions you can get from the LEGO.com website.

I wondered, but then remembered that that would make them a horse in the desert,

Was it an instant checkout/instant invoice order? Or perhaps the buyer marked
the order as paid? Anyway, at the bottom of the order details page, there is
a button that says "edit order". Click on that and then next to "payment status"
select "none" from the drop-down menu. You should then be able to add a shipping
charge and send an updated invoice.

Click the little paper icon to the right of the order date. That will allow you
to send an invoice with the shipping cost included. I believe yours will not
have a check mark since you have not yet sent an invoice. Note that you may want
to credit them for the amount that they have already paid.

Hmm, I see a few problems with presenting the list:
0. I’m not sure being presented with the 20 pages of lots from my WLs that I
just spent a couple of days already poring over would not be annoying.
1. The “Wanted List” (search my WLs in this store) link doesn’t exclude items
already in cart (I guess first because it doesn’t bother but also because that
allows to check you’ve already found them and to add more). So this function
would need to be more precise / present different results or it would annoyingly
give you your cart.
2. There’s also the items in joker colour N/A in the WL: if I already bought
them in colour X, I don’t want to be told I didn’t bought them at all or that
there’s other colours available. Or maybe I want, I change my mind sometimes.
So I’d be for this suggestion but only as a button/link to check the items in
my WLs (that would lead to the same results as the “Wanted List” link gives).
That would help people find this feature when they came into the shop another
way but without annoying those who already know about it, and that would prevent
confusions of the “but it’s already in the cart!” type.

| The track indicates a radius of 24 studs (it’s in the name) so the outer perimeter
of the circle is 2 x pi x r, which gives 150.80 studs. Inner perimeter
use 8 studs less for the radius, so the inner perimeter length is 100.50 studs.

| For me, it’s more about having to compare in the first place. If I look at several
Dark Gray or several Dark Bluish Gray parts, I can’t guess which color they are
until I can compare with a part of the other color. Then it becomes evident,
but just having to perform this comparison is tedious.

| Feel free to disagree, but it is pretty clear that they are not required for
a used set based on Bricklink's definition:
Complete - Set
contains all parts necessary to build all of the models (including alternate
models) in the instructions but does not have to contain the original box/packaging
and/or extra parts.
Only the large plumes are shown in the example I give in the instructions. Smaller
plumes never make an appearance and are thus not required to build the model
and are considered extra parts. I'll still call out that they are not included,
but I will mark any sets as complete according to what Bricklink defines.

are not ever shown in the instructions.
|
I disagree on this, because then the extra plumes should not be listed here on
bricklink as a part of the inventory of the set, but should be listed as extra
parts. IMO a set is complete, when all parts listed in the BL inventory are present,
so as it is now the extra plumes have to be there in order for you to list it
as complete.

| Black eyebrow minifigs have been created for 9348 and the changes are all finished
or pending.
In Inventories, tonnic writes:
| I have 2 Lego education sets, 9348 and 9349.
In both sets the males have head 3626bpb0628 (head with black eyebrows) instead
of 3626bpb0121 (head with brown eyebrows).
In both sets the heads are not even with different eyebrows but also with stud
recessed instead of blocked open stud with triangle.
There is a note below the 22 minifigs of set 9348 regarding the two possible
different heads, not with the set 9349.
Also only a note below the list of 22 minifigs, NOT with the individual minifigs.
Eventhough the minifigs of set 9348 have a note regarding the black instead of
brown eyebrows I think this would not be enough, it does not show on a picture
or with the minifig inventory.
So it is very rudimentary in my opinion.
Although I have the minifigs in hands I do not have the possibility anymore to
upload the right minifigs due to the use of an iPad. Bricklink needs a code below
the minifig and parts, this cannot be done with an iPad.
Bricklink cadmin can make a note below set 9349 like with set 9348 but I think
this is not the real Bricklinkway.
If customers do not read the line below the 22 minifigs they might believe they
received the wrong minifig because inventory does not show the alternate head
and because the note regarding the different heads/eyebrows do not show at the
minifigure itself.
What can be done with this isue due to the lack of a laptop/computer?

The catalog is pretty good at showing you the similar molds for the same parts.
So you will learn along as you inventory your collection on BrickLink specifically.
| It is my understanding that there are many, many, cases where different molds
were used to produce the same sets. Sometimes due to different factories, or
changing molds mid production. Sometimes the same factory was using different
mold variations at the same time on different machines.

Yep, the Alternatives section on set inventories will inform you of all the known
different production runs. From there you should pick the single alternative
you have the most parts of at hand and stick to it for this particular set.

I believe the Additional Notes on part 6628a already cover the variants that
are possible, including the ring below the tow ball (what you are calling the
collar). The parts will not be split.

| As long as you get your seller status, you've jumped through enough hoops
that most buyers won't care about your feedback. I had a friend recently
go through the approval process and it's crazy what you need to provide as
proof to open a store now. It's great for buyer protection but I can't
imagine going through that myself just to sell some lego.
In Feedback, Bulklotboy writes:

I have been a long time lover of Lego, and several years ago I got out of my
"dark ages" and began buying up a ton of bulk lots locally. My goal is to complete
my Classic Space collection first, and then move onto Futuron, etc.
The second intent is to sell complete or nearly complete, used-vintage sets to
keep the hobby going. I'm sure this is what many of you are doing as well.
I have been building up a very large list of sets, and my thought has been to
"hit the ground running" listing everything at once so that buyers are encouraged
to add some smaller sets to their purchase, to save on shipping costs. The small
sets may be difficult to sell without something rarer or bigger to draw the buyer
in first.
Is this a sound idea?
I have read in several posts here, and on other forums that say it is potentially
a bad sign to list a ton of valuable sets/pieces with very little feedback as
scammers tend to do such things. I intend to provide original photos of each
set with my seller name watermarked in said photos.
I have a decent amount of experience selling items on Ebay (vintage automotive
parts, nearly 500 items sold in 2 years), but none whatsoever as a seller on
Bricklink.
I have been sorting and cataloging hundreds of pounds of bricks off-and-on for
nearly two years now, and hope to get a lot listed here shortly. At this point
I do not intend to sell individual pieces unless they are particularly rare or
valuable due to the fact that nearly 100% is good condition used parts. My loose
bricks will be used to complete other sets to be sold.
Any advice, questions, or critiques are welcomed!

I definitely do my best to get the correct mold variations/era specific pieces,
but I am open to any resources that can educate me further. Often one does not
know what they do not know.
Colours first (old grey vs Bley, old brown vs reddish brown), then things like
pips, font, underside pins, pat pending, etc. Some pieces are functionally slightly
different, such as thin-ring vs thick-ring, and those are easy to spot.
It is my understanding that there are many, many, cases where different molds
were used to produce the same sets. Sometimes due to different factories, or
changing molds mid production. Sometimes the same factory was using different
mold variations at the same time on different machines.
I definitely intend to do my best, but also lead with the possibility that mold
variation mishaps may exist, and to ask me first if there are any concerns.
This is one of several reasons why I wish to add original photos to each listing.
That may prove to simply be wasted time, but I want people to be happy with
what they receive.

HI and welcome!
I hope my comments don't come off as a grumpy bubble burster, but if you
are going to sell vintage sets, you really need to have the correct era parts
to complete them with. If you mix part eras you need to state this in your listings
or you will have unhappy customers. I keep 4 completely separate collections
of spare parts from each decade to complete sets with.
Also learn the many MANY vintage mold variants. I had been collecting for 30
years and didn't know them all. Classic space buyers WILL know and WILL complain
if you don't get the set correct 100%.
OR you need to state in the listing that variants and eras are mixed
Actually the small sets sell and the big sets sit, even at good pricing.
Do not bother with the pics or watermark, spend your time double checking the
set inventory for accuracy instead.
I got my start selling vintage sets. People will buy them even if you have low
to no feedback, so let the "trust" thought go. The old stuff sells itself.
Otherwise, welcome

| Of course, you aren't in competition with all the other sellers, but you
are in competition with the sellers that have the same "business" model in your
local geographical region. I sell mostly sets and very few parts but I'm
an avid buyer for the same reason as you, so it's possible that we will be
in competition to buy parts to restore the same set, and then be in competition
to sell it. Your announce could have made me nervous if I was staking my livelihood
on my BL store which I thankfully don't need nor want to do.
Although if you're missing a bunch of Light Gray/Dark Gray parts, feel free
to browse my store, I can't stand these colors and I'd like to get rid
of my two inconvenient bags.
In Feedback, Bulklotboy writes:

Honestly, I don't see it as competition much. The people selling are also
the people who are buying, or at least that is the way it seems on Bricklink.
Vintage sets often have missing or broken pieces, discoloration, damage, etc,
and there is only so much "out there" in terms of filling that need to get a
nice complete set. No two sellers are going to have the exact inventories in
the exact same area. If there was no "competition" then there would probably
be no buyers either, hehe.
I have an extensive parts-needed list here on BL (BL is utterly fantastic in
this feature alone) that has been slowly whittled down by finding pieces I need
in additional lots I find. Inevitably I will still need to order parts from
other brick fans here on BL.

|
Yes.
| Regarding a bricklink claim bricklink will take side according to Bricklink shipping
address.
|
Not if payment was made using PayPal.
| What if customer pays with something else than PayPal, where should the seller
send it?
|
I don't know, I was only talking about PayPal.
| If seller should always send to PayPal address, then why does bricklink have
addresses for buyers?
|
I can think of no other reason.
However, I must say again: Sellers *must* ship to the PayPal address or they
lose seller protection.
| Why does the invoice say that items will ship to bricklink address?
|
My invoice template does not say this. I have not changed the language of the
invoice template.
| If seller wants to be safe, he have to check both addresses. And if he doesn't
check both then he'll have to accept the risk of it.
|
Yes, and the seller takes on risk when they do not use the PayPal address. Before
PayPal stopped refunding fees, there was a simple solution. The order could be
cancelled and the buyer could re-order after updating the PayPal address. Now
there is an issue as to who pays the fees for the cancelled order.
| If you order something from lego.com: if you have recently moved and your credit
card is still registered with your old address, but you provide the new and
correct address to lego.com. Who's fault would it be if Lego send your package
to your old credit-card address?
|
Lego would be at fault, because they ask for the shipping address before processing
the order. I don't know rules Lego's payment processor has.

| Just list everything that’s ready to be listed. As long as sets are accurately
described and competitively priced, they’ll sell. People will buy small sets
individually. Town sets don’t tend to sell as well, but any 80s-90s space, castle,
and pirates will move. I have not noticed people adding on small sets to larger
orders. Sets generally take a lot longer to sell so don’t get discouraged.

That's exactly how it works with IC - the BrickLink address is the PayPal
address for the order.

I can't see that your store terms says that you ship to PayPal address. Was
his bricklink address also wrong? If not, then it's seller who did a mistake.
I would also blame seller even if terms said that you ship to PayPal address.
From the eyes of a buyer, he added his shipping address in bricklink, he buys
from bricklink. Invoice says it will be shipped to bricklink address. When paying,
he doesn't see his PayPal address which could have been added years ago.
I'd say that it's sellers responsible to verify that PayPal address and
bricklink address are the same before shipping to PayPal address.
|
I disagree. Sellers *must* ship to the PayPal address or they lose seller protection.
If you do not ship to the PayPal address, the buyer can open a PayPal case and
the seller will automatically lose even if the shipping status shows that the
package was delivered to the "updated" address. This is a common scam.
|
I doubt this is common. 90% of my orders used to go untracked worldwide for many
years, so it would not even have mattered if addresses matched or not, and I
never had a single problem with that. If people want to steal, they can do this
easily whether addresses match or not. Just order untracked or disallow PayPal
to draw funds form the connected bank account. That will undo the payment without
even needing to start a claim. Bottomline, it's easy to get screwed over
as a seller with PayPal in either case But it's just not common - or,
at least, never happened in my case.
The Bricklink address is the address the buyer expects the order to be shipped
to, otherwise why would they enter it. It doesn't serve any other purpose
than that, while PayPal address do have other purposes (e.g. the billing address,
or account verification). So the most logical assumption would be that the Bricklink
address would be used (also because that's similar to entering a shipping
address in webshops).
Of course, sellers can specify otherwise in their terms if they want, but it
has to be really clear.
I agree though it's not an ideal system and ideally there'd be a system
where they automatically match so any possible confusion would disappear (or
maybe it already works like that with IC?)

so idk what imma do
but if anyone has alot of these pieces i might be interested

Yeah, well, I thought you already had some of the parts but if you haven’t any,
and if you don’t want to build or complete an old set, I wouldn’t buy them just
to use on a MOC. Not only this system has been discontinued, it didn’t last
very long.

| I shipped an order (from USA) to Mexico a couple weeks ago. The shipping cost
was over $50, which the buyer paid. I just got the notification that the package
is being returned to me "because it could not be delivered as addressed."
I entered the shipping address in PayPal exactly as it appears on the BrickLink
order, so the fault is not mine. The buyer has made a slight change to his shipping
address and wants me to resend it. But now I'm worried about who's going
to pay for it? If I tell the buyer to pay another $50, I fear they will balk
and want a refund instead of reshipment. Then I am out $50 anyway.
Fellow sellers, what do you think is the right course of action?
|
How slight is the change? We had a similar case and was able to remove the return
stickers, change the address with a pen, and reship it. It arrived no problem
and no one had to pay another shipping charge.
Then there was another case where the post office returned the package even though
the address was correct. We just reshipped it with the same label and it got
to the customer.
So no one may have to pay another shipping charge.

Of course I've had figs removed that got listed before the rule can into

Uhmmm - now that you know the rule, you might want to go over your minifig listings
again. You have several with comments saying there are parts missing...
