That graph shows everything. The tool was needed, and it was needed long before
Instant Checkout should have ever gone live. Better late than never, but the
new tool is obviously a success and will help fill in the data for IC quickly.

The tool depicted in that graph was me.

Obviously a pretty sharp tool.

Niek.

Mileage will vary

When viewing a Catalog page, and I see packing dimensions missing (i.e. with
a question mark) it would be so handy if there were an Add button right there,
that takes me to the correct page, with all the parameters preloaded, and all
I have to do is enter the correct numbers. That would enable, and encourage,
many missing PDs to be added.

Uhmmm - can't you just click on the question mark? For me it brings up the
"change item" form.

A friend of mine has informed me of a promotional set "Kamille" given out to
children at one or more LEGO events by the Danish supermarket "Bilka". Kamille
is one of the supermarket's mascots. The set came in a LEGO zip-lock bag,
and it's unknown whether or not it came with instructions in the bag, it
may have been available only to the event hosts. A PDF version of the instructions
have been made available by Bilka on request.

Please see attached images.

Is this a set that is allowed to be put on BL?

/Jan

I don't see any reason why not; plenty of promotional sets are sold here
on BrickLink. You'll need to create a catalog entry for it first, though.

Yes, the catalog, that's the only thing I'm interested in. I don't
think she plans on selling the set. Because the set doesn't come with building
instructions, I don't believe it's actually worth much (it's just
standard bricks in a standard LEGO zip-lock bag).

Actually, I've found out that there is more than this single promotional
set from the events. There seems to be at least 4 others. I'll dig into it
and try to get my hands on some details.

971 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 2004

I own the set and kept it built since I bought it. Just recently disassembled it for storage and using BL inventory to ensure I have all parts.
Note: I have the Blue Box version, so that is the only version to which I applied this change request.

Just parted out 4 sealed sets of the 75940, and 2 had the above tile.
Hence this inventory addition request.

I'd also like to include a little chart showing the effect of releasing this
tool (see Image 3). And we still have 4 more days to go in April.

Here is the chart with the final April numbers, in addition to all the data from
the last 3 years. There is about 6 months of data from right after Instant Checkout
was released that is not included here, but we'll have that with a future
update. It will not be much different than what's shown in the first part
of the graph.

In May of last year, we experienced a surge of requests from the community which
resulted in an overload of the manual process. We had been planning to add Packing
Dimensions to the standard catalog change forms from the beginning, as can be
seen from a footnote to the original Forum article on Packing Dimensions in October
2017:

2) integration of the System Packaging Dimensions field into catalog submission
forms

But it was really the gentle push from the community that put this project on
the priority list.
