Hi guys,

Venom added to the inventory of the set is wrong:

Set No: 242104 Name: Venom foil pack
*
242104-1 (Inv) Venom foil pack
6 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2021
Sets: Super Heroes: Avengers

According to instruction we need to add the neck bracket and then the appendices
as all the others Venom or Carnage or Batman with jetpacks.

I have already uploaded sh690 and its picture.

I have already request also an inventory change.

Regards,

Mirko

I'm looking at set 4706-1 (Harry Potter - Forbidden Corridor). In the inventory
are stair components, including Light Gray steps (16x 40243) and a Black support
(1x 40244)

In counterparts, this set uses 40243c01 (Stairs Spiral Steps 16 with Support),
but that assembly calls for matching support and stairs color. This assembly
is used in 4 sets, one with LBG steps and 3 with LG steps.

However two of these use a Black support and two of them use a Tan support.
I believe following the standard of Hips & Legs parts, there should be two distinct
assemblies - 40243c01 - Stairs Spiral Steps 16 with Black Support and 40243c02
- Stairs Spiral Steps 16 with Tan Support

Am I reading this correctly?
Thank you!

Another question, trying to get the hang of this...

I just created 21763a and 21763b which are the two parts of 21763c01 and they
were approved.

First thing, the parts do not appear in a search for the item numbers but are
there in the catalog under plastic. Is this something that will be resolved on
its own with time or did I do something wrong?

Also, I noticed that 21763c01 exists as color not applicable and as red but that
the photo was only on not applicable which makes me think that it's the correct
way to list it.

Should we list and/or create plastic parts as not applicable or as their color?

One of my uncles was at a garage/estate sale some 20 years ago and found 2 "sealed"
of the attached samsonite LEGO sets. I say sealed because they are just closed
ends with nothing that really seals them. I did open to verify their contents
as gently as I could. Are these considered sale-able LEGO sets here? The set
number is listed as 216 for white bricks in various sizes. Its dimensions are
approximately 3in x 4in x 1in.

Best Regards,
Michael

Hi!

I just created a door and it was approved.

How do I add this part:

I know it's a relationship but I want to do it correctly and I'm not
sure what relationship to select, I don't see a place to select 'window,
glass & shutter'

While preparing some used bricks for listing we came across something we had
never seen before, a 7049b with no holes.

Should it be listed as a custom item, as a 7049b with a note on it?

I imagine that this is a rather uncommon item that could interest a collector
of oddities so it would sell for quite a bit more than a normal one.

Any help with listing such a strange item would be appreciated.

Why are there no dimensions for torsos and leg assemblies in the catalog?
I think this is messing up instant checkout options, since without dimensions,
lettermail probably does not appear in shipping choices.

Hello Admins (Stormchaser?)

I've been listing several minifig components within my store, and I noticed
that for this item

Part No: 15339 Name: Minifigure Armor Breastplate with Shoulder Pads and Front Stud
*
15339 Minifigure Armor Breastplate with Shoulder Pads and Front Stud
Parts: Minifigure, Body Wear

It's listed to have been released in 2014

I've got one with the 2012 date.

Can this be rectified?

Mine is Flat Silver.

Regards,

Paul

I recently bought set 4748, used and incomplete. I went through the pieces and
there was a mixture of light gray and light bluish gray pieces. All of these
pieces were part of the set.

Not sure if the set came this way or if pieces were added afterwards.

Does anyone know if this set was released with a mixture of both light and bluish
gray pieces?

We're in the middle of parting out 4 copies of the 8110 unimog and have an
issue we're hoping to get help on:
- Part number 5102c03 From set#8110 and part# 21761 from 42043 are the exact
same size and color, we see no difference yet they are listed under 2 part numbers
yet not mention in the listing about them being alternates.
There are other hoses with the same issue:
5102c10 and 21767 the only difference in the listing is one states 8cm and the
other is 80mm which is the same length.
Is this a catalog issue or are we missing something?
TIA

Hello,
Does anyone know when a scala piece goes in the scala category
for example a piece like this

Part No: 6942 Name: Dish 5 x 5
*
6942 Dish 5 x 5
Parts: Dish
is listed in the dish category, however, has scala in its name. I understand
that this piece does come in other sets as well. Is that the reason this piece
doesn't come in the scala category?
Any help would be appreciated

There are two torsos that are very similar, and could very easily be mistaken
for each other. 973pb1563 and 973pb0504.

Could you please make a "this item is similar to" note to them?

Also the name for the first could be changed to make it more clear.

It currently says with dark tan undershirt, or White undershirt. Honestly, it's
hard to tell the colors apart here. The real difference is that one has a printed
vest (arm holes for vest) and the other does not. The printed folds in the cloth
are also slightly different.

973pb1563 add the words, "with vest pattern"

973pb0504 keep the same

Thanks!

Most are golden like in the picture, but a few are more reddish gold.

Is this a normal variation?

Hey, I’m trying to list the 2015 Toys r Us TRUKAYAK kayak and I can’t find it
in the catalogue. Could someone point me in the right direction? Found a discussion
forum from 2018 which seemed to suggest that BrickLink was adding these types
of exclusive sets to the site so maybe I’m missing it.

I noticed a store who is selling Torso's as NEW with description "pants are
glued to Torso".

I checked the same Torso from other sellers, and no other described it as glued
with pants.

Are Torso's and pants sometimes factory glued without the rest of the minifig
parts also glued?

A quick search did not show any results on this topic before...

Is it possible to change how mini doll torsos are identified by color in the
search function? Rather than skin color, it would be better to have them sorted
by shirt/clothing.

Currently there are 5 pages of light nougat, 2 pages of medium nougat and not
much else.

Trying to identify Friends figures now is very tedious and time consuming with
the current classification. It would be much easier to select mini doll torso
and then "dark pink" for color and end up with perhaps 10-20 choices rather than

Was rejected.

I requested to change the name to Duplo Plant Mushroom...Etc. And I'm not
sure why it was rejected; all others in the Duplo plant category have Duplo plant
in the name.
Anyone got an idea of why it was rejected or should I request it again.
All help is appreciated

Hi all,

The picture of

Set No: 21016 Name: Sungnyemun
*
21016-1 (Inv) Sungnyemun
325 Parts, 2012
Sets: Architecture
shows an image of the built set. Strangely enough, the printed tile says "Namdaemun"
while the inventory (and the two pictures of the box and instructions) indicate
the printed tile says "Sungnyemun".

Part No: 4162pb069 Name: Tile 1 x 8 with 'Sungnyemun' Pattern
*
4162pb069 Tile 1 x 8 with 'Sungnyemun' Pattern
Parts: Tile, Decorated
Based on the above picture it appears the Namdaemun tile does exist, but can
anyone confirm this with a physical Lego part? Was this printed tile only available
in sets purchased in South Korea?

Just a bit curious...

There are many old minifig pics in the catalog. Made with 2010 digital cameras
or so.

So I wonder: does it make sense to update those old - and often not so very clear
- pictures with newer ones?
I understand that the first person who submits the picture receives the credit
for the picture, so this might be a sensitive area.

Today I scanned

Minifig No: twn155 Name: Mayor
*
twn155 (Inv) Mayor
Minifigures: Town
with my Instabrick. With very minor modifications the result is the attached
picture.
Personally I think this is a better picture than the one currently in the catalog.

What do you think?

Hi there,
Part #3070bpb085 is listed in Set #21120 as an Extra item, but is not listed
as a Regular Item. It is a regular item in the Instructions Entry, so it seems
like this should be a Regular item in the set.

Thanks for the amazing site!

Why are the mushrooms not considered figures? They are considered figures in
the character packs.

Hi all,

I was just wondering what the deal is with adding a new set to the catalog.

After visiting a Lego certified store today I received the 40450 Amelia Earhart
tribute set, which will be available from February 22 until stocks last. As far
as I can tell, this set has not been submitted to the catalog and no pending
details are available.

Can I add this set to the catalog?

Thanks,

Steve

Hello!

I know I can check a wanted list against what I currently have listed in my store,
but is there a way to do that same thing in my stores inventory?
Thanks!

Sorting through my collection of mini doll torso's, I noticed the variety
of body shapes: I found 4 distinct shapes for boy, girl, man and woman. It seems
LDraw does distinguish these 4 shapes, but Bricklink only distinguishes the two
(?) FTFpb000c00 and FTMpb000c00

Could this be a catalog project to renumber the parts and distinguish the shapes
properly? Should we renumber as FTM, FTW, FTB, FTG (Friends Torso Man/Woman/Boy/Girl)?

Man (LDraw 92242):

Part No: FTMpb001c01 Name: Torso Mini Doll Man White Shirt Top with Open Collar, Reddish Brown Tie Pattern, Light Nougat Arms with Hands with White Sleeves
*
FTMpb001c01 Torso Mini Doll Man White Shirt Top with Open Collar, Reddish Brown Tie Pattern, Light Nougat Arms with Hands with White Sleeves
Parts: Mini Doll, Torso
shoulder width 10.2 mm, breast thickness 6.6 mm

Woman (LDraw 92243):
[p=FTFpb014c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 6.9 mm

Boy (LDraw u9210):
[p=FTMpb002c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 5.5 mm

Girl (LDraw 92241):
[p=FTFpb224c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 6.0 mm

I just noticed one Bar 4L that was clearly shorter (~½ mm) than the other. It
has a LEGO logo on it, so it's genuine. Has anyone else seen this?

It seems clear the one on the left simply skipped part of the printing process
and should not be a new decorated cone.

Although I found multiples with the same error....

If you go to col334 - War Machine and look at photo #1 the very bottom of the
mask below the lip has silver on the center section. Almost looks like a sideways
axe head. Photo #2 shows that everything below the lip is just black.

Is one of them correct or are both valid? Does #2 have the silver worn off? I
find it hard to believe an official catalog photo would be approved with a defect.

For the record, my col334 looks like photo #2 and I want to know if that means
it's worn. It is supposedly brand new thus my concern.

Thanks!

Hi,
I'm adding some counterparts (stickered parts) for the set 60183.
One of the items is a slope with Red and White Danger Stripes Thick Pattern.
See attached picture.

I found a similar item from another set in the catalog:

Part No: 85984pb091L Name: Slope 30 1 x 2 x 2/3 with Red and White Danger Stripes Thick Pattern Model Left Side (Sticker) - Set 60075
*
85984pb091L Slope 30 1 x 2 x 2/3 with Red and White Danger Stripes Thick Pattern Model Left Side (Sticker) - Set 60075
Parts: Slope, Decorated
It's almost the same, the difference is the white dot in de lower left corner.

Should I add 'my' part as a new part or can I consider these items the
same?
And if it's distinctive, what name should I give it?
I'd like to hear your opinion!

Dear BrickLink members,

On Friday we heard from Hygrotus, currently our longest serving catalog admin,
that he was relinquishing his position. This is for sure a setback for our team,
as he was an unequalled expert in many areas and was exceptionally diligent and
careful in his work.

We will certainly miss him, and we wish him the best for the future. You can
read his BrickLink story here:

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1249971

The CEP admin page is not updated yet with this new information. We hope to finish
that by the end of the week.

As part of the regular course of building the Community Expert catalog admin
program, we were planning to add another admin to the team this Spring (Apr/May).
That continues to be our plan.

Hi

Just wondering why a Minifigure I listed was deleted.

This is what it is...Dragon Knights - Knight 1, Light Gray Legs with Black Hips,
Black Chin-Guard, Quiver

This is my Comments: Excellent Condition, no splits or dents. Missing Quiver/Arrows.

Is it because I don’t have the Quiver? Can I list Minifigures if missing parts?

Thank you

The release year is listed as 1987. However, the instruction is copyrighted in
1986 and it also appears in the large 1986 catalogue

Cheers,

Hi,

I need some clarification for the part.

Part No: 3245cpb012 Name: Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Stud Holder with White 'POLICE' on Blue Background Pattern (Sticker) - Set 7498
*
3245cpb012 Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Stud Holder with White 'POLICE' on Blue Background Pattern (Sticker) - Set 7498
Parts: Brick, Decorated

The inventory for this set indicates that it exists with the alternate part

Part No: 3245b Name: Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Axle Holder
*
3245b Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Inside Axle Holder
Parts: Brick {White}

So, should there be a catalog entry for this part with the police sticker on
it?

If so how would it be classified? Alternate part/counterpart?

Regards,
Joe

Hello, I don't know if this is important, but there are two different versions
of this part:

Part No: 3010p04 Name: Brick 1 x 4 with Black Grille with 15 Vertical Lines Pattern
*
3010p04 Brick 1 x 4 with Black Grille with 15 Vertical Lines Pattern
Parts: Brick, Decorated
one with surface print and one with embossed print (at least in white). Maybe
this could be noted in the catalog entry.

Okay, let me explain.

On any piece of lego, as well as the part number there is a second number, on
the ones I am looking at 15-05 & 12-01.

What does this refer to ? Is it a mould reference or a colour reference? If
colour where is this identified.

Thanks
Steve

I found a storage box which is to be used in TLG factories. Are they traded on
Bricklink? I didn'nt find them. Okay, they can not be buyed in a LEGO shop
- but it's also a LEGO product.

I'm wondering if these are the same set? The way they are listed seems strange

Set No: 1944 Name: Basic Set with Storage Case
*

1 Set, 1 Gear, 1983

If one is a set containing a sub-set, shouldn't there
be just one set of instructions and one box?

I had a question from a buyer regarding instructions of CMF’s.

He bought some from a different seller but due to our nice communication (I guess)
he asked me why the numbering of his series 13 didn’t make sense, he also missed
some and had some double.

If I am correct these leaflets are always the same unless you mark the empty
circle by yourself.
But maybe I need to be educated myself in this case...

The packages are marked with a barcode in the earlier series, later with dots/dents/pimples.

So if I am wrong I would like to know and I can give the information to my buyer
too, I will point this forumpost to him to.

Thanks already!
Ton
