Looking at the sticker sheets of the two sets this part comes from I believe
the narrow one is from set 6386 and the wider from set 6540
Maybe there should be a remark about this.
Besides: how can I show a sticker sheet in a message?

The actual catalog guidelines page will be opened for public comment and subsequent
modification before being implemented. So watch for that and take the opportunity
to provide feedback on anything you find objectionable or frightening.

| Hi StormChaser,
thanks for taking part in the discussion and for explaining us the reasons of
this rejection, I perfectly understand that first of all you Admins want to get
your guidelines figured out before taking some decisions, but from your words
I suspect these guidelines will become more and more restrictive, and this fact
scares me enough: how could more restrictive guidelines help the catalogue to
become more precise and accurate?

a image with the difference. Cheers!

Duplo bed, part #4895 has a mold marking in the center of the bed while Duplo
bed, part #76338 has a mold marking inside a bottom tube.
Is this something that should be added to the catalog?
I checked 17 beds, part #76388, and they all have mold markings inside a bottom
tube, and 7 beds, part #4895 that all have mold marking on top of the bed (in
the center).

Do you mean already retired sets? If so, look on brickset, they have data the
sets were available direct from LEGO so about as close to a retirement date as
you can get.
For future retirements, there are only guesses.

Thank you!

| | As far as I know they are not assemblies because they came separate in the sets.
I have separated hundreds/thousands without causing any damage.
|
I believe that assemblies are not only made for pre-assembled parts in sets.
Example:
* | | 2878c02 (Inv) Train Wheel RC, Holder with 2 Black Train Wheel RC Train and Chrome Silver Train Wheel RC Train, Metal Axle (2878 / 57878 / x1687) Parts: Wheel |
This part is even easier to disassemble than the hinges, and have no risk of
inducing stress marks.

I was about to sell a lot of assemblies of and and found out
that no such assemblies exist in the catalog like they do for the 3939c* assemblies
with tops. So if I want to sell them on BL, I have to disassemble them
and I have found that to be very difficult. In many cases, it leaves stressmarks
on the small hooks on the bases, and then I need to discard them.
So, is there any project planned to make assemblies for these? They come in two
flavors depending on whether the top turns upwards or downwards, so the amount
of parts needed would approx. be doubled compared to the 3937c* assemblies. But
IMHO, it would really help sellers.

It doesn't appear to cause any problems to change instructions to
sets, so for existing instructions this is probably what will occur - except
possibly in cases where there are large numbers of items for sale.

I tried listing those instructions when I listed the sticker sheet for the set

Agreed - and I definitely don't want to miss the opportunity to catalog them
still attached like this - as I'll wager there's not many of these left
still intact like this (aside from the few and far between sealed sets for this
set).
This definitely ranks at the top for one of the rarest discoveries I've had
in a used pile. That and a 10123 set with all the factory bags still sealed

see a catalog entry for the sails still being attached. I'd be happy to
submit them as an entry if they are quantifiable. I'd plan to straighten
them before posting a pic - They're still a tad bit wrinkly from taking a
bath, I mean, they are 31 years old
