Please consider making a mobile-friendly version of the site. I really love Bricklink,
but the browsing experience is absolutely terrible on a mobile device. E.g. constantly
having to zoom in/out to interact with the website is extremely painful from
a UX perspective.

Alternatively (or in addition to the above suggestion), consider developing a
mobile app. That would be awesome!!

Thank you for your consideration.

Hello.
I would like to indicate a problem when it comes to register my adress in the
bricklink system.
I am from Belgium and more specificaly from the "Province du Luxembourg", which
is different from "Luxembourg", the country.
In the system, when I have to chose my region, I can only select "Luxembourg"
and not the "Province du Luxembourg" and end up with an adress ending with "Luxembourg
Belgium", instead of "Province du Luxembourg Belgium". Needless to say that
the firt option is a mess as the post offices get completly confused when it
comes to chosing in which country the lego should be sent...
Could you fix this please?
Thank you!

When entering a part number, instructions or minifig to inventory if said part
and color, instruction or mini Id number matches alert message displays, Item
in inventory. You can have this as an option to turn off or on in Want List section.

Hi!

I bet you that many of the doors 3188, 3189, 3192, 3193, 3194, 3195, 445 and
446 marketed on this site are in fact doors with thin handle, which means that
they are incorrectly marketed.

Isn't that a problem for a market place, and shouldn't BL solve this
problem?

The doors with thin handle should be marketed under the part id 3188a, 3189a,
3192a, 3193a, 3194a, 3195a, 445a and 446a.

So the doors with thin handle are more plentiful on the market, sellers almost
always sends me the door with thin handle when they should have sent me the door
with a vertical hole beside the handle. Some sellers, which I admire, label the
door with the description "open handle" whereas the thin handle door they label
"closed handle".

At the same time, all these doors with thin handle only turn up on the inventory
list of one, that is 1, set on BL, set 341-1!

BL could solve this by inserting the door with thin handle as an alternative
in all those sets which contain the relevant doors. Or say that the door with
thin handle is the normal part, whereas the door with open handle is an alternative.
This would stop the potential for disputes between buyers and sellers, and make
life easier here on BL.

Also I wish that BL would instruct the sellers on BL to label their doors correctly.

Hello!

I bet you that more than half of the bricks marketed here on BL as 3009p01 are
in fact 3009p01e.

Isn't that a problem for a market place?

I have been buying several lately and always I have received the brick with embossed
print.
At the same time the surface print 3009p01 is said by BL to be included in 19
sets, whereas 3009p01e isn't appearing in any set at all. The brick with
embossed print is (probably) more plentiful on the market but it shouldn't
appear in any set?

I think BL could resolve this by inserting in those 19 inventory lists the 3009p01e
as an alternative part?

It would stop the potential for disputes between byers and sellers and diminish
aggravation.

At the same time I think BL should instruct the sellers on BL to learn the difference
between surface print and embossed print, so that they could label their products
correctly.

I think it might be helpful to be able to sort our searche of the catalog by
item number.

It would be particular helpful when needing to determine the next number in sequence
when adding new parts with patterns and minifigures.

Shops seem to have this functionality but not the main catalog.

I have two suggestions which would make it so much better bricklink experience.

1. Save the amount to view to the user, and not cache. I really dislike the default
of showing 25 items. I always have to click on the drop down to show 500, but
then it doesn't automatically load, so I have to refresh the browser to actually
see the 500. Then going to the next item page, and again it's back to 25.
This is the same in stores as well when viewing the items from a given store,
it default at 25 and I have to keep clicking the drop down to select 100. Can
we save it in setting for user so it's the same no matter what computer we
are logged into?

2. When viewing items for shopping, can we save the option for selecting where
the seller is from? I'm from the USA, but I will never buy from anywhere
other than USA, but it shows from all countries as default. I have to click on
"More Options" to select Seller Location to be set to USA only. When I go to
the next item, same thing. Can we have it saved to setting so it will always
show whatever we set it as? In my case, it will always be USA.

Title says most of it. Would like a checkbox, like the weight missing in catalog
to be able to view all inventory with any of the dimensions missing from the
catalog. Most parts aren't an issue but some large ones slip through and
it really hurts customer service telling them you can't ship what they order
for what they paid.

Hi,

I just noticed the current maintenance reminder which shows the time with the
EDT time zone.
Could you please use the time zone the user is currently in?

The best way could be JavaScript. There you can determine the users time zone
and keep up markup caching while changing the date information after page load.

I think this would be helpful for users around the world.

cheers,
Sebastian

Hello,

This isn’t a suggestion but wanted to let you know there is a typographical error
in the message regarding alternates that appears when getting the parts list
for a wish list set, “production” is misspelled as “prouction" on the first line.

Wasn’t sure the best way to bring this to your attention, sorry if this is the
wrong place.

Please allow us to re-arrange our want lists (click and drag.. or number them)?

Example: When we are adding parts to a certain want list, we don't have to
scroll to add it, we can just move it up to the top which is auto-picked/highlighted.

1) I see there have been other suggestions on updating the Excel format we can
download.
In the meantime, I am using CSV, but most formats have the same problem (for
me) -

In the "detail items" rows, it would really useful if the leading columns were
not blank, but had the data from the initial order row duplicated.

IE, the columns :
Order ID, Order Date, Seller, Base Currency, Shipping, Insurance, Add Chrg 1,
Add Chrg 2, Credit, Coupon Credit, Order Total, Base Grand Total, Total Lots,
Total Items, Order Status, Order Status Changed, Pmt In, Pmt Method, Order Note,
Tracking No, Location

This would allow the spreadsheet to be sorted by any criteria, without loosing
the connection to that 1st row.

In fact, when the detail items are listed, if that data was filled in, then there
is no need for the initial order row.

This is specific to the spreadsheet form, but as CSV is used in the same ways,
I think that should be done the same way too.

I would also make these suggestions -
2) The xml format does not seem to honour the "detail items" option - why not?
3) The file names all seem to default to *.txt - where as .xml .csv etc would
be better

I hope this is useful feedback.
Regards, Ian
.

Bricklink should implement something in Studio where you can group pieces together.
so that if you were making a robot mask or a robot leg you could make it and
group the pieces together so that they can be easily moved around without highlighting
the entire thing and making mistake in the process.

If a set comes with instructions that are across multiple books please allow
listing each book separately. Many retailers are indicating a specific book
in the description which breaks all of the handy search tools. It also makes
it difficult as a buyer to be sure I'm getting full sets.

As this has been a controversial topic recently, perhaps we should make it a
buyer select-able option.

Allow the buyer to choose to receive paperwork with the order, or to have the
order shipped without paperwork. The seller would then be obliged to follow the
buyer's selection.

thank you, Nita Rae

Hi,

maybe this has been mentioned already: It is super annoying when I browse the
gallery and after a refresh or when I come back later my current position is
gone.

I guess you are using a database with a cursor but isn't it possible to adjust
the url to the current state?

It would be great if I could make purchases from my own store, in a ghost mode
that doesn't allow for feedback and doesn't charge fees.

Often when I'm restoring a batch of used sets, I have a wanted list for each
one of them to figure out what I'm missing. Then, once I go through my unlisted
bulk LEGO, I find that have parts in my store that I need to complete these sets.
The only way I can figure to get those parts is to use the inventory search tool
to select items on my wanted list, pull them from my drawers, and then adjust
my inventory quantities appropriately for each item.

It would be much easier if I could just treat it like a regular sale, so that
I could remove all the parts from my inventory in one operation and then pull
them from the drawers the way I would any other order. Maybe I'm missing
something and there's an easier way to accomplish what I want to do?

When you select the Studio tab and have that page active, the icon description
changes from Market to Shop (the old description). I noticed the font appears
slightly different (I think because the Studio description doesn't bold like
it does when active under Market or Community).

Hello, can Wanted Lists (or all lists) default to an alphabetical sorting or
can we have an option to set an alphabetical sorting by default in our accounts?
Currently it only seems to do this when using your Wanted Lists while in a store.

Also, can we get a Filter/Search option for all Wanted Lists to make it quick
to find multiple Wanted Lists by key word(s)? Currently it only seems to allow
this when adding items to a Wanted List.

For example, the most useful situation for both items is when "moving" parts
between Wanted Lists, as it sorts in order created currently, which does not
make it easy to find a Wanted List at times.

Thanks

Why is it not possible to search for 2, 3 or more items at the same time ?

Often I am looking for more than one minifig and would like to buy them all from
the same store. I can only search for one minifig and manually have to check
each store if they also have the other minifigs I am looking for.

So please: Make it possible to search for multiple items across stores so results
can come up with store that have all the items looked for. It would be a time
saver of gigantic porportions.

Can we please have an option to search our inventory for items without dimensions
in the catalogue? There is already an option to search for items without a catalogue
weight or items that won't work with instant checkout, but it won't help
with finding items that are set as weight bound by default with no dimensions
(Curved train track, some rollercoaster track) which are potentially too big
to send in a letter.

Prohibiting new sets from being inventoried without all the parts having weights
and dimensions would be a big help too, providing users don't add arbitrary
values which seems to be the case for 99% of instruction books at the moment.

Hey there, hope your all doing well!

I wanted to run an idea by you guys see what you think, I think it would be really
beneficial and helpful. In the price guide, for any particular set, you can see
the purchase history ( which is awesome). I was thinking, would there be a way
to add which country an item sold in? I feel like that would give us sellers
an idea where an item is hot, and compare that with the pricing. Anyways I think
it would be great, let me know what you think
