I've only used site for a week (with two toddlers screaming I want that one
the whole time) so this may be an option somewhere but it would be great if there
is a way to search for local sellers by zip code

Hi everyone.

I was wanting to give one of the many Lego building software's a go preferably
one that works with brick Link. I don't mind paying but a free one would
be preferable.
What does everyone recommend? The simpler the better I might add, I'm not
bad with technology but I am going to be trying to teach my grandson how to do
it.

Sincerely BrickMark1960

Hello, would it be posible to add a custom payment method option for "local"
(national) payment options like "Swish" here in Sweden or "Ideal" in the Netherlands.

I dont think it would be that hard to implement but it would help a lot. At the
moment I have added a note to my bank transfer option thats say that I also accet
Swish-payments, but I still have to ask the buyer which method he wants to use.

When getting an order thru Instant Check-out I would like to see a copy of the
"order notification email" along with a copy of the "invoice" email just like
when a non-instant order is placed.

I have saved these for future reference for years.

Thanx, Milissa

I know it's already been hashed over and over that sellers want to be able
to buy in their own store, and, for reasons I still cannot fathom, BL has refused
to allow it. But that isn't why I'm posting here.

The real problem is that I'm unable to test my store settings from a customer's
perspective. This is %$#%@# ridiculous. No store on the planet has a policy
that stops employees and management from taking items to a register and going
through check out process (and then void the sale, or abandon it before finishing).
Now this new instant check out has me setting up a system that I'm barred
from using without going to someone else's store to experience their *different*
configuration.

I guess I need to set up a shill account in violation of BL's terms just
so I can make sure my store works as I intend?

Hi,

why isn't a copy of the invoice sent to the seller on instant checkout?

I'd like to see that a) it is sent and b) keep a copy

Until the automatic checkout feature is able to calculate state sales tax, allow
orders from specified USA states to be blocked.

This should be done at the store level. Very similar to the check boxes for countries
to ship to.

In my case, I’ve tried to get around the lack of a tax calculation line item
by creating a special shipping choice for Florida residents which includes a
6% fee. I can still lose out on up to 1.5% because cities and counties can have
additional taxes.

In practice, none of my orders from new buyers select the Florida Residents option,
so I am out 7.5%.

All measurement units and weights should be converted to Metric.

All other measurement units should be abandoned including stud lengths and imperial
units.

Thank you,

Is it possible to have emails sent from the actual address when someone contacts
me through the Bricklink site? Rather than having them generated from blservice@bricklink.com.

When I hit reply, the response goes back to Bricklink instead of to the email
author.

Either that or have it sent to a dead email address so at least I will get an
error that it wasn't delivered.

This has probably been suggested before.

I have just had an instance where a buyer has placed an order in my store and
paid with an echeque. I had set the status to clearing whilst the echeque cleared
and the buyer has
gone and placed another order which instead of creating a new order has been
added as an addition to the old one. This is making things messy.

My suggestion is that any order set to clearing should have the same status as
paid or packed and not allow any additions but create a new order.

Hi,

With the exception of one message (October 13) without the standard subject "Regarding
BrickLink Order #_______", all of my Inbox and Outbox non-Order# messages over
the last few months have been removed.

I did not delete these messages, and as a matter of routine do not delete any
BrickLink messages, since they're eventually cleared out after six months
or so. Recent messages are important, because they provide a record of shipping
quotes and other communications with potential buyers.

Please restore them, Matthew

Hi Admins,

Please consider-

We have set up multiple shipping methods to handle different shipping box sizes
and weights, all these have been "grouped" as one as they all refer to one shipping
option for the buyer that being UK domestic 1st class. The system is designed
to offer only the lowest priced option within the group to the buyer and so far
this seems to work well

However it makes the shipping terms look very messy with rows of options looking
exactly the same of which only one will be offered to the buyer at checkout (see
our shipping terms as an example). Would it be possible to "hide" all these options
and just show a summary description of the shipping method by "group" in the
displayed shipping methods?

Thanks,

Robert

It would be nice to see a topic choice added to the forum for Instant Checkout.

I'm not sure where best to post re: Instant Checkout. Shipping? Selling?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I have never noticed an option for two-factor authentication
on BrickLink and I think that in this day and age most websites and services
should include it.

So...

I propose the addition of two factor authentication (via SMS code).

Hello
I would like to suggest a category split:

I like to purchase printed tiles, but I am not interested in parts that have
stickers already applied. Currently, the category for "Tiles - Printed" has
a great number of parts which are not printed but actually a sticker.

My suggestion is to create two categories: "Tiles - Printed" which is reserved
only for true printed parts, and "Tiles - with Sticker" for the others.

thank you for your consideration,

-allan-

A recent forum message just reminded me of a concept I thought of awhile ago.

Please consider creating 3 options for wanted list viewing among users.

Private:
Default option. No one else can see your any of your lists.

Limited:
Much like reserving items where you enter a user name. This would allow one
person of your choosing to view a specific list.

Public:
One or all of your lists can be seen by everyone.

I recognize that this isn't the most important upgrade that is needed, however,
a feature such as this has been wanted by many for a long time.

It would be very helpful if in the part descriptions submitters were required
to put colours where appropriate. For example and especially for minifig torso
assemblies.

If someone submits a new minifig torso or legs assembly they should fill in a
short form for Hip colours, leg colour(s) as well as torso colour, arm colour
and hand colour.

If we could get this as a requirement it would make life much easier especially
when using tools like goatleg.

If the description doesn't include all this information then Goatleg doesn't
always find it and that makes identifying some of these parts much harder than
it needs to be.

I have noticed that, there is no easy way when using the auto select option on
wanted lists to compare it to the actual wanted list. Sometimes the selector
will get more than 100% of the parts needed and there is no way to see what parts
are being doubled up on. Also, when not all 100% of parts are located there
is no simple way to see what parts haven't been ordered so I cannot select
alternate parts. Basically unless I get a 100% match I cannot place an order
without either wasting money on parts I don't need or ordering an incomplete
model

Hello all. I have been going through the Members - Feedback ratings list, going
on page 21,158 to find information on something that I have been wondering about.
Well in doing this I have seen thousands of users that don't seem to be
"active" users. So I am thinking the 731,476 registered users is somewhat irrelevant.
Many are a once and done, sort of user.

I would like to suggest, that leaving the registered user count intact, but add
the count of "Active" users. Have BL not count the inactive users after say
6 months or 1 year, of actual log in date. This would give us all a better idea
of how many actual users are using BL. This could work just as the purge orders
after 6 months. This would still allow a user to log in after being put into
not active, and then would be in the active number for the 6 months or year.

What say you?

Dave

Hi,

I recently commented that the apparent BrickLink-imposed delay of 29 (or 30)
minutes may wrongly give customers the impression they must complete their order
within this time frame, as opposed to my and others' store closed messages
which often state to simply contact the seller for a bypass password, allowing
for however much time, often days, a seller can provide a particular customer
to finish their shopping cart. In short, I think the store closure message is
more polite than the 29-minute countdown.

Another consideration is that the 29-minute delay means the store is simply not
closed when a store owner wants it to be.

For example, I recently made a large discount error across many more lots and
item types than intended. I didn't know how to quickly undo the change without
messing up other pricing considerations, so I "closed" my store to ensure no
orders were placed with erroneous pricing.

However my store was not actually closed, based on BrickLink's imposed delay.
And during the five to ten minutes needed to set things straight, an order could
have been placed based on unintended pricing.

I recommend that stores close at the moment when store owners want them closed.

Sincerely, Matthew

For many years, I have used the "Item Finder" instead of "Search" at the top
of most pages as I find the functionality better, specifically for filtering
the country of origin of seller.

I again find the "new" search pages not as helpful. I click on "USA" for origin,
then click details, and it shows all parts, not just the sellers in "USA" for
example.

I wanted to pass along this user feedback and see if anyone else has easier and
better ways to find parts. I do not see the "Item Finder" on the new pages,
and suggest that it remain.

Team,

I have been waiting to open my store for over a month. I am more than ready to
start selling. Do you need help in this department? Volunteers to assist in matters
like this?

Cheers!

I've been going through my old sets and reviving them for my kids. There
are quite a lot of parts missing, so I've been ordering the missing parts.
When doing this, I need to track what I've already ordered, so it would be
pretty awesome if the invoice/order overview also could show the part number
and color, not only the part descriptions.

Thanks,
Joakim

Hello

Of course - everyone has his own system - but mine is:
Color first - item number second

Unfortunately this setting is not available in "orders settings".
Is it possible to have this setting option too?
If yes - where to ask for it?

Best regards

Please update the item numbers of items marked for deletion to end with "-md"
or something similar. I am putting together older figures and keep running into
guys that are marked for deletion. There is no way to know they are marked for
deletion on Brickstock until I pull up the catalog or try to upload the parts.

The best solution would be to delete the items marked for deletion.

Thanks,
Cob

Dear Bricklink,
There is a part I would like you to add to Stud.io.
It is: Black Tile, Round 1 x 1 with Large White Square and Small White Square

Hello,

I think that implementing a shipping method setting allowing or disallowing to
buy without VAT would be very helpful for VAT-registered sellers from the EU.

All orders received from buyers outside of the EU are automatically placed without
VAT, but sometimes sellers can only sell without VAT using particular shipping
methods. Of course VAT can be added manually to order if needed, but what about
upcoming instant checkout?

This setting would allow sellers to set shipping method to automatically add
VAT to orders in checkout when buyer selects such shipping method, even if the
buyer is from outside of the EU.

What do you think sellers?

Best regards,
Tomasz

Maybe I'm missing this option somewhere on the site, but I don't see
a way to quickly revisit a store you ordered parts from recently. I liked the
services of some of these stores so I want to go back to them to see if they
have the additional parts I need.

I would have expected a link on the My Orders page to see the seller's store,
but all I can find is detailed information about the seller minus a link to his
actual store.

I would also have expected a link to the stores I've ordered parts from under
recent activity, but again I don't see anything.

I did find a way to add the store as a Favorite, but that involved a decent amount
of work to copy the seller's id into the field to add them to the list just
so I can get a link back to that seller's store.

Is this an odd behavior to want to revisit a store?

It would be nice if there were some sort of explanation given when a suggestion
changes status.

For instance, explain how what the suggestion asks can be done when the status
goes from “open” to “implemented” or “already exists.”

Take this suggestion: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1053439
It has recently been marked as “already exists.”
However, the situation didn’t change: When opening a “cart,” we’re not taken
directly to the cart. It depends on the store’s settings.
How can we go directly to a cart?

Rules and regulations on the forum have been mentioned several times before with
others suggesting a feedback limit or a set age on an account for posting, but
I think the best option is for a moderator to manually comb through all new threads
before they get posted on the forum.

This unfortunately tends to clog up conversation, but it seems like the only
full-proof way of getting rid of the spam here. I check the forum maybe once
a week and when I do it's always filled with these scams.

I would prefer to see the fee schedule laid out as attached so I can specifically
track each order and the original fee, additional fees, reductions to fees, and
the final amount.

I do not like the separate popup that details the fee adjustments. It seems
completely disconnected from the fee schedule to have the fee adjustments listed
separately. It is very hard to cumbersome to track back and forth the fee adjustments
to the original order.

Attached is my example.

Thank you for taking this into consideration.

The Bricklink catalogue has the perfect base for this change but it is a question
of whether the developers feel they can do it with minimum effort. Each item
in the catalogue has a PCC as well as its mould or design id number associated
with it. The PCC code is Lego's element id and it is what they print in their
instructions.

There have been lots of comments both in and out of the forum concerning part
weights and how there is a variance between colours of the same part number.
We have also experienced this. The simple way to deal with this is to add a weight
field against the PCC in the catalogue. This would allow the system to hold the
individual weights for each colour part and could be used to more accurately
provide cart weights for instant checkout when it comes out of preview.

Losing order items when changing pages if I forget to 'add to cart' first.
For chumps like me, how about a reminder pop-up, or 'Add to cart' next
to each item?

Hello BrickLink Managers,

I know you're working hard but, as for the New Layout.....

Everything I wanted to see at first glance is on that classic front page. I spend
hours a day working on my site and I'm all over that page. I would prefer
not to have to keep changing pages....it just adds to the time I need to work.
The first thing I check is messages either to see them or send them. Then I go
to Catalog to add parts or figures. Later, before end of day all of my orders
are out that can be out. Please don't change it; it's not broken and
in my humble opinion it doesn't need fixing. The old format was an inspiration....at
least to me.

Thank you,
Nancy, Sierra Trade

I think it would be very useful to be able to have separate email addresses for
your buying and selling activities.

I operate a store but also have wanted lists and buy from time to time and being
able to separate the various emails to different addresses would be helpful.

e.g.

To the "Buying" email address:

Any messages regarding orders you placed e.g. Invoices etc.
Wanted list notifications

To the "Selling" email address:

Any messages regarding orders received e.g. invoices, payments
Emails about Fees

Perhaps there could even be a configuration page for users to select which emails
they would like to go to which address?

Yes you can probably achieve this with filters on your email client if on a PC
but not sure about phones and other devices.

Thanks,
Steve

Funny, I was thinking about it this morning and then received an e-mail that
the main Dutch second hand trading website Marktplaats.nl has just implemented
it: iDeal as a payment method.

This is not as much a major issue as supporting IBAN, but still it would be really
nice thing if BL would choose to add iDeal. More than 300,000,000 transactions
the Netherlands per year, most Dutch people are comfortable with it and use it
regularly. The Netherlands is a large country on Bricklink, so I think that if
it is not hugely complicated to implement, it would be a really good upgrade.
And, for the Bricklink team probably very nice: It is an onsite, instant checkout
compatible payment method.

Maybe I somehow missed it, but it looks like there's no way to modify checkbox
settings for entire lists of inventory detail pages at once. I now delete zero
quantity lots by clicking tons of "delete" checkboxes.

Shouldn't there be checkboxes for this at the top of the page? I've made
a picture of what I mean. It seems likely to me it already exists and I just
fail to find it, if so please point me to it, otherwise, let's add it?!

Hi, in the section Catalog/Statistic there's a old feature "top sold".
The feature seems a little bit buggy, because if you search "top sets sold" the
full result list contains mainly minifigures, parts and accesories.
Anyway, the resulting list is limited to few rows, compared to the catalog.

The complete feature for searching all the sold sets/minifg ordered by historical
total sell count could be a great help both for buyers and sellers.

The cherry could be the drill-down in detail of any record to see the chart (or
the plain data to keep it simple) showing the sell counts over year (or quarters),
or only the best and worst selling period in the set life.

Example:

PAGED LIST OF THE HISTORICAL SETS SELL COUNT, ordered by bestsellers, filtered
per year range.
In addition, after clicking on the set 7621 Indiana Jones we discover the sells
count distributed over the time from 2008 to 2017.

Hi,

I have a couple of suggestions to improve usability of the Wanted List feature:

One of the things that would really make life easier for me is to be able to
group Wanted Lists. Say like this:

Wanted List Group: Cars
- List: Ferrari California
- List: Peugeot 205 T16
- List: Porsche 911

Wanted List Group: Jets
- List: F-14 Tomcat
- List: F-15 Strike Eagle

etc, etc. It can be purely cosmetic in the UI. So I don't want extra functionality
for groups. At least for now

Another request would be to have a quick filter (checkbox?) to hide completed
wanted lists. I know I can sort lists on completion, but hiding them can still
be useful.

Thanks for considering these options!

A happy user!
Bert

For sets there is a box entry but WHY NOT FOR GEAR?? the only way to sell the
boxes is by going through the set entry and then place a comment 'only the
box', but this is very confusing and not helping those who are actually selling
the gear that is complete.

And how difficult can it be??

Most of my first time customers have said that they had difficulty finding the
pieces they wanted when first coming to Bricklink. Perhaps a link on how to navigate
the catalog or use the wanted lists, or a guide as to how to learn what piece
you need on the main page may be useful to people first coming to the site. I
believe this should be prominent.

And the "How do I find Items?" page is not what I'm thinking about. Maybe
a short youtube video explaining where the numbers are on Lego pieces, what they
mean and how to look for pieces you don't actually have. ie set inventories.

Thanks for considering,

Tyson.

The site map on the old My BL page was quite handy and must more condensed than
the full site map.

I would like to suggest that it be added to the new page in some form. Maybe
a button that when clicked opens/expands the old map without changing pages,
if possible.

Also, the new page is nice to look at, but it has too much empty space leading
to unnecessary scrolling. Only half of the page is displayed on a 22" monitor
w/o scrolling, whereas before 3/4 of the page was displayed with 100% of the
major info on one.

in oppose to some previous comments i've seen, i actually like the New My
Bricklink Layout.
it's bigger and easier to navigate, props to BL on always trying to improve.

my suggestion is:
with a larger New My Bricklink page, maybe it's possible to add a notification
for "replies made to my forum comments"

right now if i write a forum comment i save it on my browser so i could later
check to see if my questions or comments were addressed- perhaps if there was
a notification available it might be easier.

Thanks for considering.

I wanted to reply to the thread of the same subject, but it was locked by BrickLink,
so here's a follow up.

Quote from QA_Sheryl:
We would love to hear some constructive feedback about what you do not like about
the new My BL page. Without specific complaints we aren't able to make the
new page advantageous to users that don't currently like it. Please feel
free to contact the help desk with any suggestions for improvements.

The original post was right on the point: there is nothing to fix. The "old"
My BrickLink page is quite fine the way it is.

Seriously, there is nothing to fix there, please don't fix what isn't
broken.

The old page is highly practical: we can _immediately_ see everything we need
to know, and obviously without having to scroll anywhere. And on the same page,
without having to scroll, there's this very useful table of all links to
all of BrickLink. What else could one ask for? It's perfect.

The only thing that's broken with the "old" My BrickLink page is the huge
banner on top the messes up both the horizontal and vertical spacing. That could
be fixed.

I like the functionality a lot of the classic page and do not like the replacement.

I do not see any user advantages to new layout.

Is it possible to make a version of BrickLink Studio for
Virtual Reality? VR is the ideal platform for Lego
building, especially with VR hand controllers allowing
you to snap Lego bricks into place.
It also would be fun to build Lego together online
with Facebook friends, and shrink down to play/socialize with Facebook friends

It would be helpful if the city/state was also listed on the item results page
when searching for lots, instead of just country. If a store or buyer is closer,
it can mean 2-3 days less in transit time for shipping.

Please consider adding the option to add another column to the orders placed
page. I suspect that many of us using desktops have room to see the tracking
numbers next to our other selected options.

Why is it ?

You pay for what you order - OK
Then your post & packaging - again OK

Then they charge another payment for ?? WHY
Lets say i order something with no min order worth 48p Then i agree to pay p&p
of 99p = £1.47.
Then i find when i go to pay the invoice in have an additional charge of £1.25
on top.

What is this actually for ?

hello, I made an account in 2007, and I was going to make a purchase with a member
who is no longer here. the order was placed by mistake early, and even though
I contacted them, they still gave me negative feedback. is there a way I can
get that feedback removed, or will it stay there forever? I recently logged back
in after finding my username and password. I'm trying to get back into building
again. thanks,

Store: It all starts with a brick
Since January i have the same part bought 3 times now by a new buyer and i get
no reply on invoice or messages....

This time it is Jeremybryan , regitered on August 11 and placing the order within
10 minutes.
Never logged in since and as said above no reaction on invoice, message or email...

I started and will cmpl the NPB incl a negative Feedback.

Only bad thing is that within the system the parts are stuck for a min of two
weeks.....even three weeks if he/she reply's to the NPB with a "bogus" message.

In my eyes this procedure should be a lot shorter,

My suggestion would be:

-Make starting the NPB possible after 3 days instead of 7!
-Make completing he NPB possible after 3 days of starting it.
-If buyer reply's to the NPB within the three days then make completing it
possible 3 days after that.

This way the parts are not stuck so long.

It's especially annoying wenn the new buyer doesnt log in inbetween the order
and the completion of the NPB.
It's a cmpl waste of time.

Can the Tracking Number field be added to the Orders Placed screen?
If the Seller fills it in, which I do, have it feed over to the Buyers orders
placed.

I just noticed that in the 6/6/2017 release, purging of problem orders was eliminated,
even after 6 months. While that's all fine and dandy, the number next to
Orders, will never ever decrease now. I always thought it was silly that Cancelled
orders was summed up in that number, but ignored it as they'd disappear in
6 month anyways. But now they don't get purged, and that number will never
be able to hit 0 again. Can we make that number ignore cancelled orders? Or maybe
ignore filed orders?

Thanks,
Bill

Hello Admin,

Please consider adding a link to Item in Order Removal Request when clicking
the Problem Order link on the Order Details page.

Currently it's only possible to Cancel the order or start NPB, NRS or NSS.
It would be much useful have IORR added.

Thank you.

I'm sure each store has its own cart for a good technical reason, as the
databases are probably separate.

However, if I go to my cart, I'd love to see each store on a single long
page, with the items showing which I have for each store.

Thanks! Keep up the great work.

The current XML order download allows you to get member ID or real name. It does
not include address/city/state/country. Please add those fields.

I think it would be helpful to have a field on the order summary for Tracking
Number that can be entered by the seller. It is something that applies to a considerable
amount of transactions, yet currently requires either duplication (update messages)
or clunky work arounds (using the VAT field for example). If it does not apply,
it can be left blank.

Please remove the image upload limit of 50 images per days.

It is annoying that I have to use multiple days to add pictures to my items and
in the meantime, I have to move items to stockroom because they lack the needed
picture.

A picture says more than 1000 words and is just better to show the condition
rather than trying to explain it.

Hi,
I would like to see quotes highlighted like invoices are, so that when a quote
comes in I see that I need to act on it - I keep missing them and the sales that
go with it.

I do find value in them, so please those that hate them or wish for them to go
away, please respect this and reserve your negativity for another location and
stay away from this post - we all do business in our own way - thank you.

So it would be good that when I click on the store I get the following messages:

X orders not invoiced
x orders not shipped
x feedback not completed
x quotes not quoted

Thank you,
Kind regards,
Dave

I suggest that these two messages should be consistant.

That is, if the seller does not ship to my country, the message on the store
should be:

"Seller does not ship to your country."

That way, correspondence can ensue to find a shipping location mutually acceptable
to both parties.

USPS has GREAT tracking at low price.

If a person is stop listed, the message can remain:

"Seller does not ship to you"

Teos does NOT ship to Canada, at last check I am not personally stop listed by
him, so this is a good example.

I'm tired of not being able to ask for a quote on an item through the system.
Twice in the last day I have sent an email to a seller asking for a quote and
then have then change the price of the item. It's making me want to just
put through the order and then cancel if I don't like the shipping terms.

Bricklink really needs to swings towards the buyers in terms of usage. Take
care of the buyers and things work out better for the sellers. Catering to the
sellers just creates a poor buying environment.

And, of course neither seller will honor the price that I was asking for a quote
on. Of course not. If the thing is in my cart waiting for a shipping quote,
they shouldn't be able to change the price.

In the forum I may see a red box under a seller's name. I hover over it
and it says
"Seller does not ship to my country"

I go to their store, and the message at the top is "Seller does not ship to me".

I can't help it, the second message hurts my feelings!

Is there any way we can make the messaging consistent with the actual reason
I can't buy in their store? (Country/Person?)

Please add the item type to the wanted list.

I have various instruction manuals, original boxes and parts in my wanted list
and for some items it is difficult/impossible to tell which is which.

Example 1917 King's Catapult. Which is the set and which is the instructions?
In this example the box is apparent.

Thank you,
Cob

It'd be nice with a link to the feedback for a purchase from the price guide
of a product, to get an idea of how happy the buyer/seller was with the purchase
for the price they gave.

Does it annoy any other Sellers that when you visit your quote page you see EVERY
quote you have ever given? Please add a FILE option so that once a quote is no
longer valid, has been rejected or is even accepted and finished we can make
it go away.

Also, the number in parentheses beside the Quotes (4) link should only represent
open, active, or incomplete quotes. Every time I see it I get a jolt thinking
I have left something undone.

My suggestion is for invoices for new users to automatically go thru the BL message
system (as well as email). This may cut down new users not seeing invoices in
their email for whatever reason.

I don't see that receiving BL invoices via the message system & email is
labeled as the default setting, so I thought I'd suggest it.

The on/off button is currently found in the My Settings: My Contact Settings
section.

There can be a link to disable the feature within the message.

I really like having this feature on at all times, but I can see how some may
find it bothersome.

Hey folks!

Buyers can't see their cart weight unless they enable some obscure option.
Why is that option even not enabled by default? Why can't I, as a seller,
force buyers to see their cart weight in my store?

This means that if buyers aren't aware that this option exists, they have
to guess the weight, ask the seller continuously as they add batches, or request
a bunch of quotes.

Why force this upon ourselves when the website can automatically do it for us?

I suggest we allow sellers to show cart weights to their buyers, even if the
buyers haven't enabled that option.

Thanks for voting!

Hey folks!

I think this option is counter-productive for buyers. (See image below)

Sellers are allowed to turn off the display of cart weight in their store, even
if the buyer has chosen to see cart weight.

This means that if buyers are cost-of-shipping-sensitive, they have to manually
calculate the cart weight, or ask the seller for a quote.

Why force this upon ourselves when the website can automatically do it for us?

I suggest we force sellers to have the weight of cart shown within their store.

Thanks for voting!

Miffy.

In my opinion the largest problem of the Bricklink page is that the final shipping
costs are often unknown till the invoice. It is much too late. I suggest calculating
the maximum shipping costs before the final checkout.
Let me display an example:
The buyer Alice orders parts which weigh 80 grams. The seller Bob states that
the shipping costs are 3 EUR up to 100 grams and 4 EUR up to 200 grams. Bob means
the TOTAL weight while from Alice's point of view the weight of packing materials
is unknown and never stated. This way Alice doesn't know the final price.
(Btw. I suppose it is against the EU law.)

Once I have come across such a case that in seller's opinion the maximum
net weight of parts was about 30 grams to keep the total weight below 100 grams!
Is it fair and clear?

I can see the following solutions:
(i) suggest the buyers to state their shipping costs precisely, in terms of net
weight of parts or dimensions of parts
(ii) apply automatic calcultion of maximum shipping costs on the checkout page
so that the seller couldn't apply higher costs.
The latter one is much better.

Best regards

When you click on an item in a store at present, you go first to the small image,
then have to click again to get a large image. Why not go straight to the large
image?

If your goal is to go to the item in catalog, the picture you go to first makes
no difference.

If your goal is to see a bigger picture of the item, you still have to click
again, why not go straight to larger picture?

There are a number of slow shippers on Bricklink, but bricks are perfect when
they arrive.

I actually like ebay system of being able to rank item/communication/shipping
separately.

hi

not sure if this has been suggested before

I have been a member for a while but only recently started buying lego off here
and I like to keep track of what lego I have but its a pain writing it all down
when I buy lego, as you have an inventory for sellers I think it would be a good
idea to have one for buyers.

as orders arrive I would like to be able to add it to my inventory and also see
a total amount I have of that lego piece next to each item when in a shop, so
it tells me how many Technic, Liftarm 1 x 7 Thick, Black, next to the qty that
the seller has if that makes sense?

not sure about anyone else but this would make it so much easier for me as I
then don't have to keep checking if I have that lego piece when im looking,
this will help me decide if I need more of that lego piece or if I have enough
of them for now and stop me maybe ordering the same pieces from 2 different stores
days a part when I place orders

thank you

Hi,

I don't use the forum very often, but was on yesterday and was annoyed by
the amount of spam that was flying around offering passports etc.

Can i suggest that the forum is restricted to members who have received some
(one) positive feedback for either a purchase or sale.

This would prohibit people from just registering and posting SPAM.

As I understand it, BL sellers and buyers are earning BL several million quid
a year via commission. Can I humbly suggest that some of this profit is redirected
into giving the platform an active customer support staff that is available 24-hours
per day. That such a site relies on volunteers to keep the wheels greased is
a bit perverse given the circumstances.

Just wondering if there is a way to remove "my wanted" list from My own store?
Rather than removing parts for a set line by line.

There are people putting a very rare and expensive part at a very low price in
a super-lot in order to attract people.

That is imho unfair, but permitted.
This also spoils the average price in a terrible way. There should be a simple
option in which you can EXCLUDE super-lots as much as you can exclude incomplete
sets.

The System is already able to find out if a lot is part of a super lot, so that
should be super-easy to implement, and would really help a lot.

Thanks.

It's probably been brought up before, but it would be very handy to include
a tracking link for all open orders. Assuming there is tracking. It would make
things a lot easier for the buyers.

And speaking of the buyers, please bring back the lowest price option on the
auto-finder. Making things easier for the buyers make people buy things. If
you make it harder to buy things, you lose sales.

It makes no sense that you can enter a store you are stoplisted from (let alone
be able to fill your cart and only find you are stoplisted when attempting to
checkout)

Please change it back to the way is used to be that when you tried to enter the
store it tells you you are stoplisted.

Thanks,
Paul.

Maybe this is covered somehow, or I'll just make it as a suggestion. If
I'm looking building a set, or parting out a set, I'd love to know what
the most valuable pieces in that set are. Is there no way to do that already?
I'd love to see a sort by average price on the set inventory page!

It can take a lot of scrolling to find my price/quantities in the price guide
overview.
I always use 'sort by price and group by month' (consolidated currencies).
These options should remain.

So my suggestions for the price guide of a part in a certain color:

-As a seller I would like to see my data (price and quantities) at the top part
of the screen, or at the top of a month.

-Most of the time I am not immediately interested in each separate entry (sold
or available). I would prefer an overview of quantities per price. So instead
of seeing 10 separate entries for each transaction where the part sold for 0.01,
there would only be one entry per price. This will hopefully shorten the overview
somewhat.
--condense/collapse the separate entries to one per price
--it should be possible to click on the condensed/collapsed entry to see
all individual entries

In my own case, I don't use tiered pricing or % off at all and rarely
use reserved. Unless I am mistaken, every field in a web form like a page of
my inventory is taking up memory and slowing down processing and I don't
even use half of the fields. If I could turn those off, the site would be much
more friendly to my iPad.

Hello Admin,

Please add the Community tab back on top of the page when in a store.

To go to Community now we have to either click the Bricklinklogo and end up at
the homepage or click the MyBL link and end up at My Profile and then we see
the Community tab.

Preferrable add the Search too.

Hi,

Is it possible to have a check box within the quotes page to allow us sellers
to remove quotes that have been cancelled/accepted?

I can see the future scenario of where sellers will have multiple pages of quotes
and none of them will be relevant...

The reason I suggest name change is that

NOW

Catalog order:

Mini Doll ...
Mini Fig ...

AFTER CHANGE:

Mini Fig ...
Mini Friend ...

Because having Mini Doll first is driving me crazy.

Also Friend is matches brand name of series for those searching.

Would it be possible to have a number pop up on the my store button when an order
comes in like it does for a message on my bl? I send a lot of time on bricklink,
but not a lot of time checking emails so I would be good to see I have an order.

With instant checkout looming around the corner, I would like to have the option
for my buyers to be able to use the instant checkout option when purchasing my
electronically delivered custom model instructions.

However, at the moment, I cannot differentiate these electronic instructions
from actual paper instructions. I am not allowed to set the weight to zero grams
or selecting a checkbox that these are electronic. How will this be handled during
instant checkout with causing some sort of error?

Please allow for an option for sellers of custom instructions to be able to allow
instant checkout.

There are other sellers who use Bricklink for selling these and would benefit
from this implementation. It would also cause less issues and confusion if this
is properly handled. Lastly, this will draw more sellers of custom instructions
to sell through Bricklink instead of other venues.

Thank you for the consideration.

Howdy guys! I was wondering if it is possible to have our picking list separated
into New and Used But still be in order of item number? For example, all the
new would be at the top of the list but be in the correct item number order,
then the used (in correct order) would be after the new. It would be soooo helpful
since the New and Used are obviously in different places in our physical stores.
Yikes, dare I say this BUT, that is how Brickowl does it and it is just much,
much easier to pull.
thanks for lending an ear
