Hi guys,

just a weired information about the Bricklink Studio Gallery:
This week's "Staff Pick" in the vehicle section is a speed champions
size Lambo Sian, which is, as far as I can see, a 1:1 copy of the Mould King
set 27003.
You will find the published "creation" at https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/design.page?idModel=527945
If you want to find the official MK set, just google for "MK 27003".

It is probably an honor for Mould King but sadly not for the "Staff"
at Bricklink.

A bit disappointing what is going on in the Studio gallery section.

Kind regards
Linse

So if mould king copies a design protected by lambo thats fine, but a copy of
a copy isnt cool... seems like a few rights violations

To make it clear, I don't support or like what MK is doing with stolen
designs and I only buy products that are clearly licensed by the designer.

But to be honest I am not sure if MK has stolen their speed champions style cars,
cause these cars use a lot of pieces which are not available in the "LEGO
world" or at least not it the used colours.

The posts from BL user "dangmanhvtv" look to me like he only wants to
generate clicks on his youtube channel and I assume he is not the original designer
of these cars.
So these posts clearly violates the terms of service for publishing on Bricklink.
Seems the BL "Staff" does not much care about their ToS or they would
have checked a design before giving it a "Staff Pick".

And to be honest I don't like that development here on BL, that more and
more published creations are only "advertisements" and posts that are
violate the ToS are approved instead of removed.

Kind regards Linse

Well, the staff can’t know everything… but, indeed, they could at least make
a google image search :/

There’s also no simple way to flag a design (or a comment).

We (mods) can now moderate comments… but who writes an open gallery with a comment
section without any way to moderate it from the start?

Hi SylvainLS,

my suggestion would be, add an additional/new "Report MOC" button, perhaps
right under the "Stats" box right next to each published MOC.
This is how it works perfectly on Rebrickable for years.
Cause as you mentioned the official checks are done by humans, who cannot know
everything, so the community does the final "check" of each MOC.
A click on "Report MOC" opens a simple formular page, where you can select
the report reason and add some additional text, e.g. with some links to the original
design.
I assume this formular is generating an email which is send to the admins. Normally
it takes only a few hours or less and the reported MOC is removed from RB.

Kind regards Linse

Yes, that’s my suggestion too. And another button for the comments.  And one
button for the posts here.  And… well, no, actually, I don’t want a poney.
