Hi anyone have a way of creating an invoice just for extra postal charge,
as client selected incorrect postal requirements and has already paid by Stripe.

normally just get them to pay the extra via PayPal, but this is a stripe payment
and client requesting invoice.

Thanks in advance.

It's easy to create an Invoice (or anyway ask for a payment) from Stripe.

Otherwise, if there are taxes involved, this would avoid part of them - you shouldn't.

You could have Shipping Methods that don't allow this kind of mistake.

I'd say, either:
* refund the whole, reinvoice and be paid again,
* or just pay for the difference.

In fairness to the original post. One cannot make shipping methods which prevent
this kind of mistake. Anyone who has free local pickup enabled will have this
default to the cheap est option. Which is another problem because Bricklink
can easily check if the address is within local driving range. In Canada we
have local options to select for sellers charging provincial sales taxes. There
are numerous other examples where the customer much chose the correct option
which applies to them. I don’t think it’s necessarily the vendor fault.

In fairness to my post, this wasn't said in the OP, I couldn't guess
apart checking the shop, which, sure, I didn't.

And then define "within".
300 mi in USA?
10 km in France?
5 km crossing a border?

I don’t think it’s necessarily the vendor fault.

It's not a "fault" - but you don't set up an automatic shipping
method with zero fee.
Otherwise "everyone" will chose this one, even just "for fun, in
case it'll work"

You can make a manual one that will require the seller to send an invoice first
before any payment.

I should of said we are in the UK. It is has happened a few times where people
order a larger part, but pay for Large Letter, not Small Postage in the UK system.
It happens rarely, but I want to give my customers the options to buy larger
parts on easy checkout.

There's nothing specific about UK or not here.

You can define different shipping methods accepting up to different sizes.
Inlcuding a margin you can set to be safe(r) on dimensions, like I think I've
put 5% on all sizes (and weights).

This should have maximum sizes:
UK - STRING, STICKERS, CARDS ONLY - STD 2ND CLASS LETTER
UK 1st Class Std Medium Parcel
UK 1st Class Std Small Parcel
UK 2nd Class Std Large Letter
etc.

Also, you could define both:

UK 1st Class Std Small Parcel WITHOUT Tracking
UK 1st Class Std Small Parcel WITH Tracking

This way you'd avoid manual invoicing?

Once it has been payed you cannot add any extra charges!

You'll have to eat the difference this time and change your shipping methods
so i won't happen again.
