Hi all-

And sorry if this has been answered, but I noticed a new feature which I believe
began in 2022. Under My BL there is a section for "My Collection" In
there you can add your sets and your parts. Awesome feature, but is there a way
then in my wanted to list to check the list in my collection first before I go
out to buy the parts? IE like in rebrickable they will tell you this MOC you
have 80% of the parts in your collection based of your sets or loose parts, can
we do this in Bricklink? If not can this be an added feature soon please?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same question. I spent ours setting up my collection with all the
parts, and was hoping to find a way to know what set i can build with that, or
at list, given a set, i get a list of missing parts.
If that's not doable, then what is the prupose of "part collection"?
Thx,
Chris

You can do that at rebrickable.

To keep track of your parts collection.

Note that the LEGO version is even worse: you can have sets but not parts… but
it still tells you how many parts you have (for bragging rights?) while you can’t
tell it how many copies of each set you have 🙄

I don’t know how they missed what we want and need:
— there’s a ton load of suggestions here for this feature describing exactly
what we’d like to do,
— there’s constantly threads here asking how to manage WLs and a personal collection,
— there’s several third-party tools (BrickStore) and websites (Rebrickable, Brickset)
that have most of the wanted features already.

Yes, I agree there are many things it could be. Until it starts providing some,
I think I'll continue using rebrickable and my own spreadsheet (but mainly
memory) to know what I have and where I keep parts so I can locate them when
needed for MOCing.

Awesome, thanks for the tip!
I was able to import my BrickLink inventory, and now i can browse the sets and
check what parts i'm missing.

Thanks,
Chris

I am not sure if that feature is in the works, but they ARE working on building
more features into My Collection.
