| Hello everyone,
I am trying to add the part 4081b or 41632 in my store, but I am not able to
find 41632 in bricklink.
If I search 4081b, it advises me also to check 41632, but the latest one cannot
be found in the catalogue.
I have 41632, and it is the one that I want to add...
Does anyone have the same issue?
Many thanks in advance!

| There is no listing for 41632 as it’s included under 4081b, it is only an alternative
number not a separate part.
You can add a note stating that it has the alternative part number.

(There’s an “Add to My Store Inventory” link on that page.)
4081b is the correct ID. 41632 is an alternate number.
Modern parts have this number etched on them but older parts have the same shape
and were 4081, so 4081b it is.
By the way, what do you mean by “it advises me also to check 41632”? Who is
“it”? How does “it” do that?

Well, maybe I did not explain myself properly, but I meant that the site says
"Item No: 4081b Alternate Item No: 41632" and when I try to look for
41632 on the "search bar", then it directly shows only 4081b.
But I will add then the reference in the description
Many tahnks again.

Ah, okay.
Yes, the alternate item numbers are searchable… and they lead to the same part’s
page
It’s for when you have only that number (etched on the part or from another site).
Otherwise the parts are deemed the same and share one entry, with only one main
ID (generally the oldest one).
