I have some kind of thing on the torso on one of my minifigures and i'm just

Looks like a seam (not a crack) to me.

What vintage is the minifig ? What year was the set it came in released ?

I have had issues with the Furty minifig’s torso cracking, but that was during
the period that certain colors had brittle issues. One clue of a potential issue
is if the arms do now swing freely. If they are binding, then you might have
a torso issue also.

If the guy is on crack get him some help. Intervention would be nice and counseling.

From what can been seen in the picture I would say no. One way to confirm would
be to partially insert some legs horizontally to add some pressure and see if
it shows it’s a crack or not otherwise it’s just a seem

Injection-molding, surface stress line. Not a crack. Created when produced
and not necessarily with use or age. More visible with some torsos made depending
on the when and where of production and condition/quality of ABS used. Also more
defined in some colors. Taking a look at the inside of the part helps to better
understand this. If not considered common, it's at least not uncommon.

Thank you for the help, is this something I am required to put in my description?
(when putting condition on used obviously)

Not required. In this seller's opinion, it's too commonplace
to be advisable.

That said, item description is a very useful tool that is hard to overuse,
especially to undersell listings. Which is advisable... In other
words, using the item description to inform the uninformed, is also useful to
the "informed" seller
