| have the whole world stopped selling to the uk under £135, why its doing you
all no favours,also have everybody become a vat registered business, i think
not , all it is doing is everybody is now using Instagram ect ,see this being
the decline of bricklink .why use the front door when the back door is open

Hi,
It may not be intentional from those sellers.
As per UK law, BL has to collect UK import VAT for orders under £135, and the
only way they can do that is if the payment is done with an “onsite” payment
method (that is, either Stripe or PayPal Onsite (not PayPal)).
So if a sellers doesn’t offer an onsite payment method for their UK buyers, BL
automatically limits orders to UK to above £135.
This has nothing to do with the sellers being VAT registered. On the contrary,
it’s especially so that UK gets import VAT from every sales from abroad without
having foreign sellers to register for VAT in UK by making marketplaces/facilitators
like BrickLink do the collection.

If you see a seller stating they sell to UK in their terms but there’s a message
in the top left corner in their store saying the minimum is £135, message them
and point them to this post or to the help pages.
