What piece do you wish you could buy but it’s either too hard to find or too
expensive? Personally I’m desperately looking for 2 copies of the 60s Robin legs
for a MOC, but I missed my chance years ago and now no one is selling them. I’m
willing to pay a pretty penny for them too, but I can’t find a single store that
has them.

194 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2023

This unique Beluga is not only an actual LEGO white whale, but also your metaphorical
"white whale" to the impatient LEGO fan That is until the set's
inventory is uploaded, approved and made available by vendors. Wherein it then
becomes just a LEGO white whale

Here's an ambitious seller (miss-spelling the animal)

Amphibious???
Nice animal, we'll get one for us at least. Didn't know about this set.
Thanks for sharing!

Well, for about 3 years there, it was:

Part No: 30218 Name: Clam Shell, Folding - Continuous Scalloped Inner Lip
*
30218 Clam Shell, Folding - Continuous Scalloped Inner Lip
Parts: Animal, Water {Bright Light Orange}

I ordered it approximately 15 times and messaged 20+ sellers that listed it.
Every single one I received was actually Medium Orange, regardless of any assurances
the sellers gave me, since that color appeared in 2 common Star Wars sets and
the Bright Light Orange version only appeared in a very rare, very expensive
Belville set. The colors are close, but are actually pretty easy to tell apart
if you compare them to other parts in good lighting.

I finally broke down and ordered an incomplete version of 5960 on eBay a few
months ago, and my friends were very amused when I received the package while
they were over and started jumping for joy when 30218 was the correct color.
It cost me almost $100, but hey, I parted out the rest of the parts into my store,
so hopefully I'll make it up eventually.

IF YOU HAVE 30218 LISTED IN BRIGHT LIGHT ORANGE: You're wrong. It's Medium
Orange. Please change your listing immediately.

Now, my white whales are actually instruction books for rare promo sets I already
own:

Instruction No: 3070  Name: Mosquito
*
3070-1 Mosquito
Instructions: Space: Insectoids

Instruction No: 3071 Name: Light Flyer
*
3071-1 Light Flyer
Instructions: Space: Insectoids

Instruction No: 3073  Name: Booster
*
3073-1 Booster
Instructions: Space: Insectoids

I just about choked when a Bricklinker posted a while back that he “usually throws
away the bottom of every bulk bucket” but found one just by chance. Keep hoping
to find one myself someday.

Found many nice rarer items in the bits at the bottom of a bulk lot including
your white whale item.

You are so lucky then! I’ve never even seen the door that you’re looking for
- the oldest LEGO I have is Samsonite.

I have the doors in many colours and shades, I’ve seen an image of the trans
clear door and found trans clear windows but never found the door.

Image attached of just a few.
