| Hi
I've had 2 buyers in the last few days report a problem when trying to make
onsite payment. They get an error message and told to 'return to merchant'
to arrange payment. One buyer also said he'd had similar problems with some
other stores, but not all.
I spoke to PayPal who said they can't see a problem at their end or my end,
anyone got any ideas or had a similar problems?
Regards
Steve

Hi,
Is it really an “error message”?
I remember the wording is a bit weird (“you need to return to merchant to (something
like finalize or is it arrange?) the payment”) but the buyer is, normally, sent
back automatically to BrickLink to click yet another button and finalize the
payment.
So, are they not understanding the message, or not waiting long enough, or maybe
the redirection doesn’t work?
In the last case, there should be a link/button to return to BL (I don’t remember
well, the automatic redirection is rather fast).
The ping-pong between sites may be a bit confusing….

| This is the first time anyone has reported this to me and I process hundreds
of orders a month, I understood if making payment by 'PayPal Onsite'
it should just work passing the amount, etc. to PayPal and then updating BrickLink
to say it's been paid. There is clearly a new problem somewhere between
BrickLink and PayPal processing here.

You’re first sent to PayPal to log in and validate the payment and then back
to BrickLink and need to accept again and then everybody is happy.
I was just saying it may be confusing or not working properly but maybe still
sort of working but too confusing to see it can work.

Might help if you could get one of the buyers to get a screen capture of the
error?
