| Had a Czech store place an order in our store today for a customer in Kent. I
queried that and pointed him to our store terms no drop shippers or freight forwarders
orders accepted. He said he did not know what drop shipping meant but because
the customer was in Kent what was the problem? I cancelled the order and wished
him well in finding a store which supports that. I left no feedback and moved
on. Just logged back in and he has left negative feedback despite our store terms
clearly stating we do not accept orders from either drop shippers or freight
forwarders. I then left a reply to his feedback and changed no feedback to a
negative.
Would much rather have just had his removed but no valid reason listed by Bricklink.
That cannot be right when someone ignores store terms which are clearly displayed
Something isn’t quite right about this and yes I know my feedback is retaliatory
and we always try to avoid that when possible but this isn’t logical. Why should
we be penalised for our terms, which, by the way are repeated by a large number
of stores and are not illegal nor unclear.

| Seems they were a real dropshipper (= no stock in their name) as the account
is no longer registered.
Maybe try the Help Desk for the feedback removal with that info?

We allow buyers to buy for dropshipping purposes, but only if they do not burden
the sellers they buy from with the downsides of dropshipping.
|
At one time was drop shipping not allowed? I seem to remember that there was
a requirement for the Bricklink seller to have the in hand. Also, doesn't
shipping to an address that does not match the paypal address you are taking
a chance?

They won't allow drop sellers to sell here but do allow them to buy here
as part of selling on another site.

Bricklink also allows buyers to use false location information for the purposes
of avoiding taxes or getting around sellers zones to which they feel comfortable
shipping.
My only negative is from one such individual, and their address did not have
the telltale signs of a freight forwarding address. Yet, they are sill listed
in Oregon and complaining about "Seller do not accept the payment from other
country." These falsified locations just do not feel right to me and it
seems ripe for abuse with Bricklink tax collection spreading around the globe.
Is there anything being done about this "burden" to sellers?

Phone up the IRS and see if they care about this dropshipper who is clearly performing
an illegal act of tax evasion.
You're opening up a can of worms, but if you feel so strongly about this,
you should report them to the proper authorities.
Cheers ...

Did you read what I wrote? They are not a drop shipper in this case, they are
using a freight forwarding company. Plus, I believe the buyer to be in Thailand,
IRS does not have jurisdiction over them. A bit of reading comprehension will
go a long way.

I am reporting it to the proper authorities, the Bricklink management, they have
control whether or not to allow false addresses on the platform.

This is my order summary and yet I've never shipped outside of Australia.

So how about allowing sellers to tick a box to stop drop sellers buying from
their store. Or allow cancellation with no feedback when it is clear the buyer
is a drop seller that has lied about their name and location. Some drop sellers
are the worst when they buy then try and impose their terms, shipping prices,
etc after placing an order.

no where do you state if you inquired with the customer as too if the purchase
was a gift for someone...
you stated to the buyer you do not Drop Ship to customers, when the customer
said they had no clue what Drop Shipping was, you cancelled their order & told
them to buy from someone else.
what type of seller feedback did you expect?
professional Sellers can remove feelings from business transactions & should
not even consider the notion of an emotional retalitory response to a simple
situation that could have been easily managed with a few simple questions.
you should have applied all logical reasons for the purchase with inquiries to
the customer before cancelling an order & telling a customer to 'go buy from
someone else'...
i would have left a seller negative feedback too if this scenario occured after
my purchase.
