"bp" stands for British Petroleum, meaning this minifigure head was made
with oil from BP.
"bpa" stands for Bisphenol A, meaning this minifigure head contains BPA.
"bps" stands for "beats per second". For example, minifigures
with head 3626bps have a heart rate of 3,626 beats per second.

"pb" is, I think, "printed brick" or "patterned brick"
The first letter (a, b, or c) refers to the type of head
a = solid stud
b = blocked open stud
c = hollow stud
So a hollow stud printed head would be 3626cpbxxxx, e.g.
"vented stud" heads are under a different part number entirely:
[P=28621]
