I am about to add my instruction manuals to my store inventory and I was wondering
how to rate the quality?
Should I grade them, if so what is the best way?
I toss the bad ones out but do have some that are complete, but look pretty well
used and may have corners folded and some have been folded in half but are flattened
out.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

Store: Nub's Select
describe them individually. if they are folded write that they are folded. if
they have rips write they have rips, etc that way the buyer knows exactly what
they are getting

Actual photo’s of item can help instead of existing catalogue ones.

Thanks for the response, photos seems like a lot to do but I can grade them or
give a description on the quality.

Thanks for the response, I will describe them, but photos may be too much as
their values are pretty low.

I agree, not worth it for low value instructions, many find they don’t sell even
in good condition.

I’ve sold some in the past.

If it helps, I like to see a description of condition including mentioning punch
holes if any.

Rarer instructions may sell if if in poor condition, newer ones of little value
will be difficult to sell in bad condition.

If the pages are all present and the build can be complete, list them. Make sure
that you describe what is wrong with them, if anything.

Do not discount an instruction now because it has a low value. A few years down
the road there may not be many, and the price can go up due to rarity.

As a buyer, I am always in need of instruction manuals. I currently have 104
on my wanted list. I appreciate the stores that store the instructions flat and
ship them in a page insert. I have bought instructions in new condition to as
low as 6/10 condition, with cover loose, writing, small rips or tears, wrinkles,
and punch holes.

Also consider setting up media mail for orders that only include instruction
manuals, catalogs, and / or sticker sheets.
