| I keep seeing 2 obviously different color "pearl gold" studs in my collection
Is there another color I'm missing or are they that different
Ps, it's not metallic or chrome

Not necessarily. If you’re going to list it under that color, just make sure
to add a note stating that it is a dark Pearl Gold variant and not actually Flat
Dark Gold. I’d just list it under Pearl Gold to avoid any potential issues with
buyers. There are too many ‘Rust’ and ‘Flat Dark Gold’ parts out there going
for more money than they should, some of which are unfortunately, purchased.

Actually they're both variants of pearl gold. Flat dark gold is darker and
less shiny and (IIRC) only came in Bionicle parts. It has a kind of antique brass
vibe.

Uh, no. There are different shades of Pearl Gold. They are all Pearl Gold. Unless
a part has a Known Color Flat Dark Gold catalog entry, it is very unlikely that
you have that color.

The one on the right is probably the only one you're going to see in new
sets now. I haven't found the one on the left in a new set in a while.
I prefer the darker color. It was common a few years ago.

I agree as the darker one has always better reflected the colour gold imho and
to me the other version has just felt a bit washed out as though not enough coloring
went into making it
