| Awhile back I posted about a customer who opened a pp dispute, because he said
he was missing a piece. I sent him a refund.
Now BL has refunded him the entire order, bc he also opened a NSS ticket, claiming
the entire order never shipped!
First time with this problem. How do I solve it?

Did you respond to the NPB in the comment field of the NSS with proof of the
partial refund?
Did you update the payment after sending the partial refund?
Bricklink doesn't hold your PayPal funds.
Probably PayPal refunded the rest of the payment.

Are you sure it wasn't PayPal who refunded?

from this order have been returned to the seller's inventory.

So this buyer can claim, almost a month later, that he received nothing? Even
though I provided a tracking number, that clearly shows as delivered?
I pay the shipping for all orders over $100, and they are insured, so I have
proof.

Order cancellation is separate from refund.

Separated, yes.
But AFAIK you MUST refund to be able to cancel.
If Paid on site, of course.
Otherwise you can uncheck Paid and Cancel, as BrickLink doesn't know the
payment status.

Did the buyer completed the NSS and canceled the order?
If you'd shipped the items, you need to correct your inventory.

Confused... how could you let the buyer complete the NSS, while you had 7 days
at least to react?

Bricklink don't send refunds unless you action a refund through them. This
was one of the things people scared of using PayPal onsite used to say would
happen, that bricklink could refund a buyer without permission from the seller.
I thought they said they wouldn't and that buttes need to do it through PayPal
not BL.
