Hi folks,

Once again I've made a sale to an EU member buyer, and once again I'm
stumped trying to provide the IOSS number as part of my USPS shipping. The Shipstation
interface I usually use doesn't have a field for "Importer's reference"
described in the VAT help (https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2517#ioss)
but, more worryingly, the USPS Click'n'Ship interface doesn't have
this field either.

Additionally, the "Learn More" on the help line stating "If you are
using USPS Intl Priority Mail, Intl First-Class, you should use the “Importer’s
reference” field to input our IOSS number." leads to a page (https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2518)
that doesn't mention IOSS or USPS.

How am I supposed to submit the IOSS number electronically to ensure my buyer
won't be charged for a pretty substantial VAT amount again?

Thank you in advance.

The free version of Shipstation provided with PayPal doesn't support IOSS.
Maybe use Pirate Ship?

I confirm Pirate Ship has a field to input the IOSS number for international
shipping to EU member countries with VAT (spelling all the keywords so that I
can find this post 6 months from now when I get another sale from Europe).

Additionally since the last time I tried them more than a year ago Pirate Ship
doesn’t have a minimum balance anymore. Accounts are free to open and labels
can be paid directly from your favorite payment method (cards or Paypal).

Definitely a stronger contender to Paypal’s Shipstation integration than before.

Cheers!
