I know it’s been about 10 years since this happened but does anyone know why
the 60010 has 2 versions, what was wrong with the original studs on the side

For info, the link in this thread are dead… but you can get the instructions
for the new version on LEGO’s website (I simply used a ‘modern’ link and replaced
the 6xxx.pdf number, don’t know if you can reach it through the website as BrickSet
doesn’t have it) and you can get the old version on the Wayback machine.

I don’t see what the problem is… maybe a too complicated build for the intended
audience?

The studs are a fire hazard
