| Hi, I'm after part number 18651, colour light bluish gray. Appreciate if
someone can help point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

That part doesn't exist in that color, but maybe you could use 65249 instead?

| Colour is all important.
Experience is key - I'd like to know for a fact if that is a genuine alternative
for it's intended purpose.
You can fit a modified bar into a grey/light-bluish grey, but not a blue version
of the same Technic part. I can't be expected to know everything...

| If anything, black is a tighter fit than a blue. My dark-bluish grey parts are
far too deep into acurrent build to tesy.
Are they looser, tighter, or the same as lighter coloured version?
