| Site appears broken. Everything ... search, look up items, etc, takes me to a
page with gigantic text starting with the prompt to join the mailing list.

Why don't nobody check the least 5 or 10 messages BEFORE creating it's
own post thread?

| The answer is that whoever posted the problem first (if it's the same problem?)
posted with a narrow subject, so even if someone looks, they don't see a
post saying "Is the site down?"
