know if I would want to drive on anything that far above the ground for that

As for the Eiffel tower, it’s built on a swamp. They used caissons. It was
one of the first use of compressed caissons with some subway lines under the
Seine river.
First decompression sickness cases too.

Do it Jen. I returned to the US of A this year as soon as they announced the
borders were open to the jabbed without restriction. I'd forgotten how much
I missed international travel.
The new rides at Disney World and Universal (new to me since the last time I'd
been if not all new this year) made it all worthwhile. Life's too short to
miss out on if you take sensible precautions.

| I couldn’t drive on there as my fear of heights has got seriously worse as I’ve
aged.
Any easily seen sheer drop be it natural or man made now almost freezes me to
the spot, quite literally, this can include scenes in films or on tv.
Sad but true, something I’ll never get over.
This obviously prevents me reaching the top of high rise buildings which would
include the Eiffel Tower.

| In earlier years I did have the courage to take myself up some of our cathedral
towers but haven’t done anything like that for some time.
Love the outdoors and would really appreciate the treks you’ve been posting here,
health however restricts me to much shorter distances since the major op, would
struggle to walk more than a mile at the moment.

Pics from December 2009 including our wonderful technological Camping Car - which
had a satelite Internet antenna to process orders and manage the shop while we
were traveling.
