The used LEGO is twice the size of the boxed collection.
That will be sold eventually too. Time to let it go.

like a collection to me.
A lot of very sought after sets that are in high demand.
It looks more like an investment or something else.

| No, not an investment, just an optimistic hope that at some point I would have
the time and space to build some interesting MOCs. So the multiple sets tend
to be ones with figures in them or a bargain I couldn't resist at the time.
I just have to be realistic and know that I won't have the time or space
to build those creations in my future. Like I said, it's a bit sad but LEGO
is wonderful in that it brings joy wherever it goes.
Perhaps a better description than collection is accumulation - the used LEGO
in my collection is twice this size. It's surprising how much accumulates
over 40 years and more of collecting.

It's a good time to be selling the LOTR and Hobbit sets. I've sold off
a few of mine recently, or just the excess figures where I wanted to keep the
bricks. They sell fast even at relatively high prices as there are so few for
sale on BL in the UK right now.

| I had visions of building a huge Helm's Deep at one point. I managed a quite
big one (20,000+ bricks) but never the really big one I fancied building. Someone
else's time to dream.
