In the end of October I ordered from a seller in Portugal. The order's been
paid but some time after I discovered I had accidentally sent funds to another
BL seller - I confused two Portuguese recipients among those saved in my bank.

Right, my mistake. On November 7 I contacted the seller who has mistakenly received
my money, explained the situation and nicely asked for a refund. Since it's
a large top-rated store (https://store.bricklink.com/superbelem?p=superbelem#/shop)
I hoped to easily resolve the issue. As our bank accounts are both EU-based,
making a transfer is a matter of minutes.

But so far the seller seems to be ignoring me... No refund, no reply.
Mailtrack shows my emails have been read several times. My BL high-priority message
is left unopened.

Any suggestions from the community or admins? Should I still hope to see my 150
euros again or I should consider them irrevocably lost?
Thank you

Do banks not deal with this sort of thing? I would think it would be relatively
common that someone transfers money by mistake.

Nope, bank transfers are not protected in any way. They cannot reverse a bank
payment. I paid 900 euro to a scam site in Belgium and it was a bank transfer,
simply money lost. Not sure how it works in the US though.

No chance my bank support would help, that was just a simple account-to-account
transfer not covered by any protection. Pretty common here in Europe though.

It just surprised me that this level store didn't even write me back. I've
been buying/selling here for some time and the sellers have always seemed to
be very helpful when it comes to refunds or complaints

Its like wire transfers in the USA. People have wired funds for entire houses
to wrong accounts and been told "tough luck" thats why escrow places are so anal
about you double checking everything.

May be so, but I haven't noticed any troubles with the service for all the
time I've usedit. And even if it counted my own views of my email, there
wouldn't be 4 of them, I just didn't open it that many times

I would message the seller on Bricklink again, just to be sure, but if you paid
via bank transfer your funds are long gone and can't be recovered/disputed
as you willingly sent the payment yourself

I will try of course. However, they seem to prefer emails to BL messages. The
time I order from them I got my reply to email though I messaged via BrickLink

Yes, this is just the way it works. You can't really distinguish between
opening and reading. Additionally if the recipient has images blocked you can't
tell whether the email was opened at all.

Name and shame.

I do not want to enter into a transaction with a seller who would blatantly steal
a misguided payment.

Yeah, accidentally posted my message from the account I use to order items to
my address in another country.

BrickLink doesn't have an option to easily change country/address for sellers.
In case I change my primary account country from Kazakhstan to Czechia my store
just automatically closes until I confirm the seller's status once again.

Very inconvenient...

  the plot thickens

Same with the non lego thing I just purchased that in order to buy it I had to
track it down with help from TheCuteGiraffe to a random site in Singapore and
pay $70 on shipping so now ill have to see if its a scam and then have to file
a claim with the CC company or if its real

That's better. It can get confusing when users use multiple accounts.

Seems like they have left feedback for themselves.

That seems just a tiny bit sleazy!

Shhh!

Actually the easiest way to clean your inventory in case of a small sale at another
marketplace is just placing an order from a friend's account. Don't think
it's disallowed by BrickLink

Just impossible to resist leaving feedback

you account is banned.

If it is not against the rules, it is against the spirit of the feedback system

That seems just a tiny bit sleazy!

Shhh!

Actually the easiest way to clean your inventory in case of a small sale at another
marketplace is just placing an order from a friend's account. Don't think
it's disallowed by BrickLink

The more I think about this, the more it does not pass the smell test.

Why would you pay 2 marketplace fees? Is it not easier to just update you inventory
manually?

Just impossible to resist leaving feedback

There are valid reasons for why using the shopping cart works better (IMO) even
at an extra cost of 3%. I cannot speak to why someone would think it was a good
idea to fluff their FB score.

You've piqued my curiosity, please go on. And, as an aside do you use Brickstore?
I ask because that is how I would do it manually if the need arose.

But if you remember without the pizza gang then its quite likely the mustard
gang would not be here either so maybe the rabbit hole goes deeper still

Thank you

How many feedbacks have you left yourself?

It looks like the second account is suspended. The main account will probably
get away with it.
